We will be heading up to Topsiders..

I would put you first but we will meet everyone in the lobby before we board :thumbsup2

We bought material for both the FE this weekend and Kailynn and I finalized two of the FE gifts which I now need to get busy on

I'm shocked that everyone is saying topsiders for lunch day 1. I was told that it can be very crowded and that PC serves the same exact food and you get served. Have I been mis-informed?

How are you getting/making things for your FE gifts? We don't have a head count yet. I guess it must be ok to not give everyone the same thing?

Topsiders can be busy. I can only speak for myself, but there is something about eating outside on the top deck vs inside a restaurant. Now, if it is too crowded, I will go somewhere else. Last time on the first day, we had to walk down to the goofy pool before we finally found a seat.

And I thought it was the other way around. I had read in other threads that people are told when they board that Parrot Cay is full and to head to Topsiders. I thought more people would want to go for the sit down and being served as opposed to getting everything yourself. We like to be outside so I'm sure we will do Topsiders even if it is a little bit of a hassle. Plus I know the kids will be dragging us over to the pool.

When you board they will direct you to Parrot Cay, so that gets crowded early on. Just tell them you prefer Topsiders, they have no problem with that

1) If I have any reservation stuff to deal with that I could not do online, i will take care of that first.

2) get a bite to eat. Probably topsiders if it is not too busy.

3) Check out the room, hopefully ready by then. Kids do not know that we got a verandah, so I will have to make sure that I am positioned for a good picture when we get to the room.

When we were on our first disney cruise in 2007 we received a call from our travel agent the day before we were to leave that Disney upgraded us from a porthole room to a family verandah room. We never told the our girls (12 & 9)
that we were upgraded. When we were able to go to our cabin we took the elevator to deck 8 where our upgraded room was. The girls told us that we were on the wrong floor, so we used the excuse that since it was our first time on the ship that we made a mistake and that we would just walk to the front of the ship and and than go down two levels. When we got to the front of our ship that was where our new cabin was the very first one (8000). The door was partially opened and I suggested that we take a quick peek at a verandah room.

When we walked into the room I proceeded to drop our carryon bag onto the bed. I then took the card off the welcome aboard gifts from our travel agent and opened it. The girls were mortified!!!!

I read the card out loud and when it mentioned their names that was when we told them that this was our cabin and we had been upgraded. The video that my wife took of this was so precious and hilarious.

When we get on the ship we will play it by ear; what we do as we will be on the first shuttle from the Radisson to the port and should have an early boarding number. Hope to have all our reservations made fro our castaway club early reservation perk and hopefully our early seating waitlist will come through.

I am here and I must apologize. I have not really been keeping up. Well I am back and I am going to try to keep up. I will post when possible. I am kind of on the shy side and sometimes feel funny posting. I do want to get to know everyone on the board and am looking forward to meeting everyone on the cruise. I would also like to participate in the Fish extender and I would like to know what the laynard thing is. On the weekend I am going to start at post #1 and read all the way through to see what I missed. Hope to get to know everyone real soon. Michelle

Hey all,

:goodvibes I will be on the Oct. 31 cruise! With the days counting down so quickly I am starting to get excited. I will be cruising with a friend, and my family (Mish is my mom :cutie: )

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone. I am hoping to participate in the Fish Extender Exchange as well.

Any adults dressing up for Halloween?
(sorry if this has been discussed ... its a long thread and I am desperately trying to catch up ... I have about 1/2 of the posts read:banana: )

Anyone planning a dive excursion? (no one but me dives in my family)

Where can I get one of those great Halloween haunts banners?

I was shy posting as well, but this is a great group of people. Join us when you can for our Wednesday Adult chat. That will really open you up - or make you run from us :lmao:

Greetings all… Just a heads up that I just added three very important cruise items to the website.. Pop over and check out the last three items posted. Shell, you can share this info with the FB group if you wish as I can’t access FB from work (they have us blocked can you believe that, like I would ever spend my time there :rotfl:)

Yea Mich and Braodway are posting again!!!! Dont be shy we are a pretty friendly group, just watch out for Jeff :).. kidding Jeff.

Just wanted to mention in case you dont remember we have our own website, you can find the link in post #1 and also we have an adult chat every Wed night at 8:30 est. Just a way to make friends before we sail and I must say we are certainly becoming great friends via the chat room and it will only make the cruise better. If you want the link to that just pm me for it.

Have a fun weekend of reading :)

I would like the link for the chat and if you dont mind just a reminder on Wednesday. I swear I would lose my head if it wasnt attached to my body. Thank Michelle

Hey Mish -

I will pm you the link... Question.. you know we are sailing on the Magic right??? I ask cause your signature says the Wonder.. :) Just dont want you to miss the ship ;)

Hey, I'm not that bad. ok, who are we kidding. But honestly I'm not that bad in person (or so I would like to think). The web brings out the worst in me.

Anyway, for those of you who have not booked flights yet, AirTran will have wi-fi on all flights by the end of the summer. Cost is about $10 for flights under 3 hours and $13 for flights over 3 hours.

Hi! Just trying to figure out our FE plans. I have read we have 33 cabins participating. So, if I were to guesstimate the number of cabins participating... should I plan for 50 FEs so I have enough or should I go higher?

Anyone planning a dive excursion? (no one but me dives in my family)

I was thinking about the 2-tank dive in Grand Cayman. I've heard really good things about diving there. But, it's not a done deal. I too am the only diver in my family and have done a lot of dives as a solo in the group and they're always a good time. So, who knows.

Have you ever done Dive Quest at WDW? That's a lot of fun!

Kevin.

I usually go on my own so I don't miss out but I feel like such a loner since everyone else seems to come in pairs. I have also heard wonderful things about the Grand Cayman Dive. Perhaps i will ditch my family agian and take it. Maybe I will see you there.

I LOVE Dive Quest. I have done it on almost every trip I have taken to Disney.

Is there a facebook group? I saw some things mentioned and if there is i would like to join. Can someone link me if there is, and can someone link me to the wednesday chats?
