What is so horrible at the Jillian Michael's program? I went to bed last night and forgot to set my alarm clock to wake up early to Wii. I guess I will try again tomorrow. :rotfl:

The graphics, the interface, the lag time, the controls...... need I say more?! I was really surprised that she puts her name on that. My boys (one of them VERY into fitness - going into the Marines in June) were astounded that the game was that bad. They watched me try to do it, and they tried to help. It was horrible.

Yes, try again!!! I got a LOT of workout done today because I did my Wii Fit, and then, I tested my other 2 games/programs. I'm worn out.

Kevin -

From what I have read most of the crew now has international cell phones so they dont really need calling cards... Two things I hear go over really well are Wal-Mart and Target gift cards.

Shell - I had heard that was a bad workout.. To bad cause it could have been awesome.

Yeah ... it's horrible. I was expecting a LOT more with her name on it. My Fitness Coach, though, is pretty good.

I've not heard of anything except candy. That doesn't mean that others don't give other stuff, but I've only heard of the candy.

Yes, most of them are from other countries (over 60 countries are usually represented on the ship), so a calling card might be useful. It might be tough doing for all of the counselors, though. There are a BUNCH of them. I just did the candy and made one drop off for the whole cruise. Does that make sense?

Do you wait until the end of the cruise to give them treats or do you give it to them earlier so they can enjoy it that week We did not do this on our first cruise. It was not until we got back and I read on the boards that this was a nice gesture.

We took it at the beginning. One reason is to get it off of your 'list' of things to do and give out on the trip.

I heard that her's was bad so we didn't get it, but the Wii Fit itself doesn't have much aerobic stuff on it.
What does the "My fitness coach" have? what makes it good.
There is also a new one from Gold's gym, but I heard it is mostly boxing.
And then there is the "active" coming out soon that has elastic bands and such.
Anyone have any info on these?

Thanks, that gives us another idea for the crew. After my 3 yo gets through with them, they'll deserve it.

Yeah, I'm actually planning to preorder EA. It's suppose to be really good. I'm excited about it. It comes with the resistance bands and a special thing to hold a remote on your leg.

My Fitness Coach actually bases a workout around *your* abilities and what it knows about you. You do a test before you work out that determines how it coaches you. It's very active, and I enjoyed it. It doesn't use the balance board (one of the only cons to it), but it's a good program. You can choose the focus of your workout, too.

I tried to get the Gold's Gym one tonight, but Best Buy was out. They may have it in tomorrow, and I will get it then if they do.

:rotfl2: Just think ... they will have your 3 yo, my 4 yo, and Susan's 4 yo in there all together. :)

Those poor, poor cast members. I don't know about yours, but mine may have them all rethinking working in kid's programs. :scared::goodvibes

It is me , DH, DD 9 turning 10 on the cruise as well as my parents and my brother and his wife. Have not done much planning yet we are visiting Disneyland for the first time as a family this August so that has taken up much of my planning time.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a long time! We cancelled before Christmas since we didn't think dd would get med insurance but things are looking good and we are hoping to rebook however we will wait until late summer. The bad news is it will now cost us almost $1000 more...I guess this cruise is after getting very poplar:thumbsup2

Have a great night:goodvibes

Cliffside....

Welcome... Exciting about D.land but I hope you will join in with us as well. We plan to have a GREAT time on the cruise and are here to help everyone plan the best vacation ever!!!

Jaime - Your back... YEA!!!!!! So glad you may be cruising with us after all.

Do we have more, lurking behind the walls? Come out and join in the fun!!! We are just 195 days away

I can't believe we are under the 200 day mark now! I haven't posted in a while, but I have been reading away. I had a bad cold for almost 2 weeks, all better now. I also missed the last couple of chats, but I hope to make this weeks. I have a question, we are flying home the day after the cruise so we will have all day Saturday and I want to go to Downtown Disney. Does anyone know of any good hotel suggestions in that area, but not on Disney property? Maybe with a good pool area? Thanks...

Great to hear from you!!! Welcome to this group!! We plan to have a blast on this cruise, and we hope that you'll join us for FEs, lanyards, meet ups and a lot of memories.

Great to hear that you're planning to come back with us!

I hope you're feeling better. My dd has been sick, sick for almost 3 weeks now. We're really tired of it.

Wish I could help on the hotel off property, but I think we my plan to stay on property this time.

....I can now make a pretty cool looking towel monkey without it looking strange:thumbsup2:

That now makes 3: a seashell, swan and now a monkey I can now make after I bought (while on the Wonder in January 2009) the Disney's "The art of Towel Origami" book.. pretty neat book if any of ya wanna learn how they are made.
It also helps to brighten up anyone's day after a long day of traveling or what not.

2) Has anyone heard what time we are leaving Nassau?? I would like to check out GrayCliff BUT I am concerned about the time we leave the area.

ok....thanks for the input. I am off now to review my order from "The Blonde Giraffe." I am trying them out before we all land at Key West. Will let you know what's up with THEIR key lime cookies, taffy, and mints:cloud9:.

Pam -

Welcome back and glad you are feeling better.. I know lots of people who have had that cold and they have not been happy campers ;)

When we stay off site we always stay at the Staybridge Suites by Holiday Inn.. They have really nice 1 and 2 bedroom suites, they are about 2 blocks from DTD, up from Crossroads Shopping Center. They have a great pool area and free full breakfast for everyone in your room. I think we have stayed there 3 times now..

Here is the website... You want to look at the Lake Buena Vista location

Kelly, thanks for that information. I checked out the site and it looks like a great option for us. Have a great day!

When are we going to Nassau???:confused3

Thanks for the welcomes. Even though this will be my 5th DCL cruise I never got involved with a dismeet. I started reading the entire thread but it was taking quite a while. Can someone point me in the right direction in terms of getting info on the fish extenders, meet and greet or anything else that is going on. Last year prior to the cruise we were able to do the MNSSHP on the 31st. That was awesome. We had ablast! We got so much candy that we were able to bring on board and give to the counselors. They really aprreciated that. I wonder what they will do for us for Halloween considering it is also the first night of the cruise?
