Hi! We came in 4th and are very proud of our Minis! It's hard to compete against teams with 20 girls and we have only 8 but their tiny smiles and spirit are all worth it!

Need a big favor from all of you - I am "deleting" previous requests for the "meet and Greet.".....ok......what I need from those who are interested in this is to please post your responses on this site.
Please post your requests for date, time and place. Please be specific as I will be posting daily the "tallies" for each of the requests.
So be patient with this volunteer who has chosen to take on this "job" as I am hearing it from ALL SIDES. I am only the
"piano player" here and I am playing as fast as I can - - as I am trying to keep the with everyone and just desire an great big ol as this is a Disney cruise.
I will also be asking from "the floor" for suggestions if we get multiple requests for different dates, times, places...etc.

Since so many of us are photography lovers, I have decided to host a photowalk on the ship...

Tuesday, November 3rd at 7:00 AM -

Join me as we watch andphotograph the sunrise as we pull into the Grand Caymans. We will meet at 7:00 AM at the drink station (so everyone can grab their morning coffee/tea/soda) and then tour the almost empty deck, taking pictures, sharing stories and seeing the sunrise..

If you arrive in your PJ's we won't care, but be aware we will have camera's LOL

Who is in?

Sounds great. But I think we might need our own 'Navigator'!. We need someone to keep a list of all the activities people are planning and about a week before we leave people can print it out.
There is no way I am going to remember everything.

Meet and Greet - This is our first cruise, so we have no suggestions, but we do have requests.
1 - early enough in the cruise to be able to make friends for the whole trip
2 - early enough in the day so the kids aren't exhausted
3 - a place where we can bring the kids
4- a place where it will be easy to find (we are newbies)

I see a lot of people mentioning their kids and ages and people responding to each other about having kids the same ages. Is there a master list somewhere?

We're working to make sure nothing gets lost or forgotten in the shuffle. We will, hopefully, have a lot of it in the first post of this thread eventually. A lot of it, too, is being put on our site.

Don't worry. One way or another, we'll have something for everyone to print out so that no one forgets all the cool things we're doing.

I'm a little confused, Kris. It's been said before that we can have more than one m/g. So far, it seems that we have 2 planned - one at 9 PM in Sessions for adults, and one at 3 PM in the Promenade for adults and kids - both on day 1. Is there something wrong with having both of these? I think that with them both, everyone will be able to make it to one of them if they so choose.

Specifically, I choose the 3 PM in the Promenade because I have kids that would love to meet other kids to hang out with in the clubs for the week and because I don't venture into the adults-only areas at night simply because I *do* have kids. I like the Promenade because it's in a central place and is open to anyone. It's *very* easy to find.


This is a map to it - and shows exactly where you enter the ship as a reference point ...

FYI ... we can use this map on our web site and first post to show where the 3 PM meet will be if we're still having it.







Is anyone interested in having maps of each deck with the locations of all of our DIS cruisers on it?? If not, fine, but if so, I can get to work on that early so that it won't be as big of a deal closer to the cruise.

Hi everyone,

I still haven't answered the first question of the week so let me do that. What I am looking forward to on the cruise is many things. I can't wait to see my kid's reaction as we are surprising them, being with my family, many activities on board, the ports, and meeting all of you.

As for favorite characters:

me - Mickey Mouse
dd - Mickey, Minnie and Pluto (can't believe she didn't mention the princesses or Tinkerbell)
dh and ds - I'll have to ask them

I like the 3pm meet and greet for the first day. Don't know what the nights will bring yet with the kids, but am hoping for some adult time!!!!

No problem there.. I am already doing that and will have them available at the Radisson the night before, at the Port before we board and at the 3:00 meeting.. Also make it printable for anyone who wants to print it themselves.

I was laughing so hard the other night. One thing I know for sure - this is going to be a fun group!

Not that we need to RSVP, but just thought I would let you know that I wiill be late logging in. My DD has cheerleading until 8:30 - so I will check and see if you are still there around 9pm! I would tell my husband to log in before I get home, but I would be scared what he might say when I am not around.

I am interested in the 3pm so my kids can meet other kids early in the cruise. If my kids go to the kids activities, I will be at the 9pm as well, but I do not want to commit to that one since I do not know what kind of mood my DS will be in. Promenade sounds good to me!
