That's a big thank you from me too!!! I'm leaning towards the Airtran flights from Philadelphia. I hope to book soon. Have fun on your upcoming trip!

Dawn, I wanted to thank you for the flight information!!!!! We just booked our flights for the cruise. We are flying in Saturday morning and flying home on the same flight as you on Sunday.
We couldn't pass up the prices.
Thanks again!

Glad to help. We always go down the day before so we can be at the port first thing which is why we are going in Friday. Plus mickey's oween party is awesome!

Thanks. Don't wait too long. I can't imagine the price will be around for long.

Ok. I booked Airtran out of Philadelphia (Depart 10/30, return 11/8) non-stop,4 of us - $604. I'm glad I listened to you and didn't wait!!!

GREAT! Looks like the rates are still mostly there. Seems flt 624 (11:45a on sun the 8th) is now up to $79 versus $59. Still not a bad price. The 8:30a is still $59 that day. Which flight are you taking going down?

Welcome to all. I an glad that you have decided to join us kbtennant, you have saved me the trouble of shanghaiing you and your family. pirate: Since we are setting sale on Halloween, dose anyone know if there will be anything special happening that day?:firefight

We went on a Halloween sailing in 2007, but it fell in the middle of the sailing. They did trick-or-treating all over the ship with two maps (the same time Ratatouille came out). The cast members dressed up and handed out the candy. They did face painting out on deck. I don't know if they will have time to set everything up since the 31st is our sail date.:hmghost: Hope we have a get together on the ship!

And speaking of Halloween, I am beginning now to look at a Goofy costume of some sorts....just fielding suggestions from all of you...... what kind of a Goofy??? Traditional one??? Like a Halloween "Ghost" or "dead" Goofy or ????? I would welcome suggestions as I am looking forward to this cruise and having fun.

We just got our AirTran flights out of Philly as well. We were holding off as long as we could to get the best flights back home on the 7th. But we caved. The flights going down on the 30th were going fast and we couldn't get the 11:40 any more so we had to get the 1:30 (not sure how many are still left). At that point, we gave up waiting for the 4pm flight home and booked the 8pm. So now we get to casually leave the ship and head to downtown disney (or someplace) for a nice relaxing day before we head home.
We got the great rate of $59 each person each way. We paid to pick seats, so after taxes and everything it came to $150 a person. Not including the $15 we are going to have to pay to check bags, but it is still a lot cheaper than the over $400 continental wanted out of Newark.
It seems real now.

That's why I booked ours yesterday. Same price so well worth it even though we have to drive to PHL and leave the car there. We're flying in Friday morning 7:00 am flight and back to NJ on Sun. 11/8 early am. So at least we have a full day on each end to do other things. KSC and maybe downtown Disney. Looking forward to it all!!!!!!!!

Can I join this thread??????

My family just booked this cruise today!!! We're so excited.

We cruised for the first time on the double dip last September.

This time, we'll have my mom, dh (43), me (42), ds #2 (13), and dd (4 then). We're SO excited ... have I mentioned that???

For this cruise, I would be happy to make a list of participants with each person's DIS name and Cabin #. If they'd like to share the names of the people in their cabin that would be great also. Also, if people would like to receive an age appropriate "gift," they can include the ages of the kids too

At this point, no suggestions will be made on what type of gifts to give. This way, each person can bring whatever they'd like.

I will be keeping everyone updated on how many DISers have contacted me by PM so people can start planning how many items they need to bring. Two weeks prior to sailing, the final list will be PM'd to everyone who's participating.

Then, each person can distribute their goodies whenever they'd like during the cruise. For example, with 30+ people participating, chances are pretty good that the gifts would arrive randomly throughout your cruise.

It's REALLY fun with lots of people participating! And, when you think about it, even if you had to bring 128 items to share, that just means you're going to receive 128 different items too!

PLEASE PM me if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I hope that we can get a good list going to participate in the fish extenders. I am sure that we would all enjoy extra "magic" on our cruise!!!

Please add us to the FE list.

Are there any other details on meets, Secret Mickeys or anything???

One more question .....

Does this cruise have/want a logo????

I'm sorry. The last cruise I went on (first cruise, too) had meets, a Palo brunch, a group photo, logo, custom lanyards, Tshirts, FEs and Secret Mickeys. I got started late on that one because we didn't book our cruise until 100 days out. This time, though, I want to be more prepared! LOL!

I hope I'm not driving you guys nuts.

Renysmom set up a logo and a website. It looks like the website is not working. Anyone know why?

I am not sure why the site isn't working but I will have DH take a look at it this morning when he wakes up and get the link reactivated....It must have something to do with the redesign of my site but I didn't touch the cruise portion.... I will post as soon as it is working..

HI! We are at the early seating. We are on deck 7. I am looking so forward to this cruise! I am new to dismeets. We did the 3 night cruise a few years back but I didn't know much about dismeets. I guess there are many jersey people thank you teacher's convention! I hope to here more about planning some fun stuff!

Just an update: We are now dining in the late seating. When we were "connected" with another party so we had to move dinner times. There are 2 more families joining me. I think they want to join the FE also. I will try to get them to log in or if they want I will post their information.

As I thought, the address to the website got messed up when we converted from one style to another.... To make things easier on everyone, but mostly John who programs this stuff we have had to change the address so this is the new link to the cruise webpage. Make sure you update your bookmarks to this url.

I will be back shortly with the link to the logo, he is working on that now :goodvibes

Hi:

I just came across online the Navigators for the October 25-November 1, 2008 Magic Western Cruise.

I noticed that they did all the Halloween festivities on Thursday October 30 as opposed to Halloween, the 31st.

This cruise was a Castaway Double Dipper which followed this schedule.

Saturday - Port Canaveral
Sunday - Castaway Cay 1
Monday -Day at Sea
Tuesday -Cozumel
Wednesday - Revised Sea Day
Thursday - Key West
Friday - Castaway Cay 2
Saturday - Disembarkation

Based on this maybe, maybe they will do the Halloween Festivities on Sunday, November 1 on our cruise. I know there have been questions about how the Halloween festivities would be worked into the hectic Sailaway first day.

253 Days and Counting!

Steve
