October 31, 2009

Hi:

I just came across online the Navigators for the October 25-November 1, 2008 Magic Western Cruise.

I noticed that they did all the Halloween festivities on Thursday October 30 as opposed to Halloween, the 31st.

This cruise was a Castaway Double Dipper which followed this schedule.

Saturday - Port Canaveral
Sunday - Castaway Cay 1
Monday -Day at Sea
Tuesday -Cozumel
Wednesday - Revised Sea Day
Thursday - Key West
Friday - Castaway Cay 2
Saturday - Disembarkation

Based on this maybe, maybe they will do the Halloween Festivities on Sunday, November 1 on our cruise. I know there have been questions about how the Halloween festivities would be worked into the hectic Sailaway first day.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ok...........need help every one cuz.....
....
....my DCL confirmation guest copy( dated 02-06-09) reads:

Oct 31st: port canaveral
nov 1st: Key West
Nov 2: sea
nov 3: grand cayman
nov 4: cozumel
nov 5: sea
nov 6: castaway Cay
sat nov 7th: port canaveral
....so does anyone have "official confirmation" on what we are doing on each day?? Fair to say the earlier poster has info from last years cruise but was that based upon a bad weather day? was that why Castaway Cay was done twice????? Can someone here jump in & clear this up?? ME CONFUSED :confused3 but just wanna have fun in October:goodvibes

Thanks 4 listening !

Your cruise schedule is the one we are doing. I think the previous post was an example of Disney switching their Halloween fun to work their schedule. Some of us were questioning how Disney would work Halloween on the sail date.

knewtown64:

bdette1971 is correct. Our cruise follows the standard Western Carribean schedule as your confirmation shows. I was just trying to research questions that have come up on this thread as to what Disney may be doing with the Halloween Festivities on this cruise, since the timelines on past cruise would conflict with sailaway day items.

Sorry for the confusion!

off topic, how do I add our logo to my signature?

First - right click on the logo and click save picture as. Save it somewhere on your computer that you will remember.

Get an account with somewhere like Photobucket (a picture-hosting site). It's free and easy.

Once you have your account, follow the directions to upload your logo picture from your computer.

After it's uploaded (you can skip the page that asks for a name, description, tags, etc), copy the code in the little box that says IMG.

Open another window/tab in your web browser and get to the page to change your signature.

Past the IMG code from your picture on Photobucket into your signature, save the signature, and presto! It should be there.

Sure hope that makes sense!

Let me know if you have any questions or problems. :)

Remember the thing about itineraries is they are subject to change so while we are scheduled for the traditional western the Captain can make a change anytime during the week for any reason he deems necessary.

.....when and where the Magic sails during our cruise :goodvibes
So anyway...as I slowy make my way through my daily bump and grind of work /home etc....I am slowly putting together a rough outline of what I would like to do during this vacation. So - a huge thank you to all who have answerd my "Goofy" questions in relation to what not as this will be my 2nd trip to the "House of Mouse" and my first during a major holiday.
So - be it as it may...feel free to offer some suggestions / improvements to what is listed below as I desire to continue to have fun in all things Disney. Oh..please also keep in mind that I am a solo traveler and have no issue covering a lot of ground in the quicket amount of time possible.

And yes - I welcome suggestions on how to fill in some of these gaps in my plan listed above.:cool2: & yes.....I agree as well about, "Remember the thing about itineraries is they are subject to change so while we are scheduled for the traditional western the Captain can make a change anytime during the week for any reason he deems necessary." But on the bright side...I am now 1/2 way in completing everyone's FE gifts - :woohoo: and if anyone needs their pic taken during the Meet & Greet, just give me a holler as I don't mind volunteering.

We are also from Middlesex County. DS will be 9 and DD will be 6. I think the little ones will have many new friends to play with!

....Now I am wondering.......anyone here from the Southwest region of the United States???? If so, feel free to post your answer cuz "I'm feeling outnumbered" here.

Ah well....can you fellow New Jersian's (hope I said that right) help make a Texan feel welcomed in your circle?????????? After all....on the Disney Wonder last month (Jan 11th-15th) , I DID root for your Eagles pro football team and EVEN sat on the green colored side of the bar....and THAT says a lot...considering I am from Dallas.

"Magical" things can happen on the Magic even an Eagles and Cowboy friendship! So welcome! We'll just have to keep a watch out for next years schedule! :)

A Cowboy's fan and a sense of humor... we'll get along great!:rotfl2:
But mind you, I might be even out numbered on the cruise. Many NJ are either Giants or Jets fans. I just happen to bleed green because I was born and raised in Philly.

Of course! I've been reading your posts and they are very funny. Can't wait to meet everyone.

You and me, both!! :hippie: I'm in the southeast - Georgia.

And ... sorry. I don't root for any of the football teams. I don't even count Atlanta as *having* a team!! :sad2:

Checking in...........Somerset County, NJ here.......can't wait to get sailing and meet everyone. We have had this cruise booked from day one that the date was released. It just works out that we have the ENTIRE week off from school as well. Yippee! I won't miss much at work!!!!

We are from Monmouth County. Boys will be 8 & 5 when we set sail.

Go GIANTS!!

We're also from Monmouth County. Taking advantage of Jersey week like everyone else. At cruise time our DS will be 7 and our DD will be 4.

This is our first disney cruise and I can't wait. We booked 15 months out and it can't come fast enough.

Can't wait to meet everyone.
