Good morning everyone! Laurie, you are always up so early! I'm envious!:thumbsup2 I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend! We have so much time left before our cruise! I even have a Carnival cruise scheduled before our Disney cruise! But I love these boards. It's fun to just check in and see if there is any new info.

I have stuff to do today too, I just need to get motivated. I want to take a walk and clear my head. Then I need to prepare for a day of tutoring tomorrow, which takes time and planning.

This coming 4th of July weekend, we'll be in Aberdeen, Maryland at the Cal Ripken Baseball Stadium/tournament, so that will be fun. We'll stay two nights while my son's baseball team plays. They also get to play in the Ripken Minor League stadium right off of 95. So that will be exciting.

I haven't seen any good movies yet, but I will. Thankfully, my daughter is now fine since she went to the orthodontist yesterday.

Have a great day everyone! :)
Charlene

Hi Charlene,

I am glad your daugther is fine now. My girls would have been so upset!

Good Morning everyone. It is beautiful here today! Finally a nice sunny day!

There hasn't been anyone new lately join us. Is anyone planning on going to the Halloween Party at the MK the night before our cruise? Our yougest dd loves Halloween...she is 4 and her favorite ride is the Haunted House in the MK. We are undecided what we will be doing but are thinking about it. We plan on arrive at least 2 days before...just to give the girls time to get over the flight.

Have a great day everyone!:cool1: :cool1:

Hello! :goodvibes

Thanks for the well wishes, Jamie. My daughter feels so much better now. :)

We can only arrive the night before at the earliest because of school and work schedules. However, in NJ we do have some time off during the week of the cruise, so after the cruise, I'd like to spend two nights at either the BWI or the BC and as a special treat, stay concierge. I haven't stayed conceirge since 2005and I am more than due!;) It would be an extra treat on top of the cruise. :thumbsup2 So that's my flexible plan at this point. It could change.

I was wondering if someone had posted a question a few pages back about the banana boats at CC? My family did do the banana boats last December and we loved it!! It was so much fun. I had heard that they have stopped the banana boat rides, but I'm really hoping that by the time our cruise comes along, Disney will have them again. If they do, next time we will be sure to wear our sunglasses. The driver was going so fast that the water kept steadily spraying into our eyes. We told him to slow down, and when he did it was so much more enjoyable. :thumbsup2

What are the benefits to stay in concierge? We are thinking about it for the AKL...as a special treat since we just book cat 12 onboard.

Hi everyone. Sorry for not posting in a while. End of year functions ran amuck in our household. We just started baseball camp so it's a little calmer now. What info can I get on the Halloween party at the magic kingdom? Does it run very late at night? I was thinking of maybe attending but I don't want the kids to be tired to board the cruise.
I have been reading the post of all the Jersey people. We are from Matawan, NJ. We use to live in Colonia we moved down here about 5 years ago. It will be nice to meet so many people!
We have been looking into many excursions. We are interested in the dolphin swim in Mexico. It seems to be the first one I have found that our youngest can do. Does anyone have any imput?
Have a Happy 4th of July!

Good morning! Again, I'm sitting here having my morning coffee:surfweb: and I am contemplating getting my housework done.

Hi Jamie! I love staying concierge because it is such a treat. It really depends on the individual. I like having the concierge staff make advanced dining reservation and it's great for the kids to have the lounge to get drinks and snacks when they want them. The snacks are not any big deal though, it is not cuisine, it is pretzels and chips and crackers, that's about all. But it is handy and the lounge is nice to relax in and have a glass of wine or beer in after 5pm. I don't do it everytime, so it is a treat. They have a good continental breakfast in the morning. Coffee and soft drinks all day. Usually a very friendly staff, too. Personally, I love it!:lovestruc But that's me.

Hello bdette1971!:) Where abouts are you located in NJ? North, south, central? For excursions, I have my eye on the XCaret in Cozomel. It looks wonderful. There is a thread somewhere on the cruise info board about it and it has pictures. I'm sold! I'm thinking of a beach in Grand Cayman, and definetly snorkeling on CC. How old are your children? You mentioned baseball. My DS is 13, he'll be 14 on the cruise, and he lives for baseball. We travel down to the Cal Ripken stadium this weekend for a tournament. :thumbsup2

Happy Fourth of July!pixiedust:

It is alot of fun and even though the party doesn't start until 7:00 you can get in at 4:00 on your Halloween party ticket...they have all kinds of candy stops...free face painting...character dance parties...we had no lines to get on any rides...they had a great parade and our favorite fireworks we've seen in WDW...we left just after the fireworks around 10:15...but I think you can stay until 12:00am.

We are hoping to do the dolphin swim too they have a great website with info. I think we are going to book this on our own though...they say you can get your money back if the cruise does not stop there...we'll probably try to book it next June/July once we have the cruise paid in full.

We are are from Central New Jersey. Exit 120 off the parkway.

I saw some info on that but I am afraid that it will be a little too much for the little one.

How old are your children?
My son will be 8 in August and my daughter is 5. He is big into baseball. This is his third year of baseball.

Hello Ladies - Long time no post!!

I see we've been hopping here!

Well - just a quick hello from me today - I need to read and catch up w/everyone - but we have a BIG day here today! Parade in the late morning, BBQ in the late afternoon - so, I have my 'hostly' things to do this morning to finish getting ready!! We are only have about 12/16 people here today - so, not too bad. Then fireworks down the street at the highschool - we are hoping to be able to see them from our house!

Anyway - enough of my rambling - have a safe and happy holiday, and hopefully I'll catch up over the weekend!!

Laurie

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday!

Here's the play fort on Castaway Cay...looked like everyone was having so much fun! On the otherside you can snorkle...which was alot of fun...especially if it is your first time...the tube rentals were also great and relaxing and they didn't cost much...

No new cruisers to our group lately...once the summer is over and people are able to book airfare it should get busy here.

Here is a picture of Mickey's pool...I wonder if they will put a children's splash area in here in September?
