I wanted to book the Radisson for the night before the cruise, but I am now a little nervous. The reviews lately have been terrible. I'm now thinking about the Residence Inn or somewhere on the beach. Who has stayed at the Radisson before and how was it? The pool looks good in pictures, but I would rather deal with a smaller pool area and have a clean room/hotel.

We are staying at the Residence Inn by the Port the night before the cruise. We used a Marriott certificate which we received from our Marriott credit card for a free night. The rate includes free breakfast.

I really would like to do this, but just not sure. Anyone else planning on walking it??? I know my DS will run it. He is a running machine.

I am planning on doing the 5K also. Whether I walk or run, or jog, or skip or leapfrog depends on the following

1 - did I even bother to pack sneakers (lets face it, with the dress shoes, the casual shoes and the sandals, the sneakers might get the axe)

2 - how much did I already eat on the cruise. If I eat a lot that could make me want to run so I could burn some of it off. But, if I eat a lot, running might be out of the question and you might have to roll me.

3 - what the drink of the day is. If it is really good, I might have to run really fast so I can get back quick and get another one.

Then again, I'm not sure I can even run. The last time I went running was because the ice cream truck wouldn't stop

OK I am done. Tonight I finally got my air. I am so nervous I am flying Southwest out of an airport that I have Never been to. I have never flown without assigned seats. I hope we get to sit together. But I did get a great rate $640.00 for 3 tickets. Michelle

Mish, We fly southwest all the time and have been very happy. The trick with Southwest is when it becomes 24 hours prior to your flight scheduled departure, go online and apply for your boarding passes. You will be assigned a group designation (A, B, or C) in each group you will also be assigned a series of numbers 1-15, 16 - 30, 31 - 50, etc.

When they board the plane they will call for group A 1-15, group A 16, 30 etc. That is how you will board and then you can choose any available seats as you get on.

As Steve mentioned, the key is getting those boarding passes 24 hours in advance. I love Southwest. I think they are the friendliest crew, love the free bags, affordable airfare... Unfortunately, we are flying Airtran because I did not want to wait and see if Southwest was going to be cheaper. Next time I will definitly wait!

Unfortunately, we are flying Airtran because I did not want to wait and see if Southwest was going to be cheaper. Next time I will definitly wait!

Jen, check your flights. We are also flying AirTran and just found out that both of our flight times have changed. One even changed the type of plane so we needed to pick new seats. I guess this is one of the draw backs of booking flights in Feb for Oct.
But we are pleased with the changes because

Thanks for the info about checking Air Tran flights. Our return flight was changed and I had to call to fix it. Hopefully our arriving flights will not change since we are flying the day of!!!

My DCL concierge person (Dana) said that she will let me know next week what plans that the ship may have for Halloween. She says that she really thinks they will CHANGE what day they are doing the celebration since Halloween falls on embarkation day. The person that plans those celebrations is actually on the ship this week and will be back in the office next week.

I have, too, confirmed that I *can* order Palo in the room.

She is checking on the PhotoPass CD things. There are kinks in those that the CMs are trying to work out on the ship. Apparently, there are security issues that they don't have in WDW. She will keep me up to date on those as well.

She is also checking *with the ship* as to what we need to do to make sure our group gets to do the 5k on CC.

Just wanted to keep all of you up to date!!!! Stay tuned for the latest information.






In 105 days, I will be IN Orlando getting ready for the MNSSHP!!!!!!!!!!


I am so excited to sail with you guys. I can't wait to meet all of you in person.

Full panic mode here....haven't booked my rental cars yet or hotels for night before and after cruise. Summer barely started and is flying by. I've missed so many chats lately I don't know what's going on. My 6 year old, Alyson, fell off her bike 2 days after school ended and has been in a cast with a broken wrist since 6/27. She is doing ok and hopefully it will come off next friday, just in time for vacation!!!! I guess I have a lot of work to do. Hope everyone is well and enjoying their Summer. Can't wait to be on the Magic with all of you!!
