OK now i am more confused!! Is it or isnt it crowded nov 3-10th?
It all depends on who you ask - one person will say it is crowded, the next will say it isn't!

I for one have been to the World during Jersey week 3 times and have never found it to be crowded.

We went once in late June, and will never go during that time of year again!

FYI - NJ teacher's convention is November 4th and 5th, Super Soap is November 13th and 14th. This is the first time that I recall them not being on the same weekend.

All of that being said, if you look at the calendar for 2005 (MouseSavers) and the resort 'seasons', November used to be Value season - but in 2005 it is not! Regular season is October 5 - November 26!

Actually, you're not stuck with those tickets. I called Walt Disney World Ticketing (number and address are on the letter that came with your tickets). They will reticket MNSSHP tickets for another available date at your request.

Shhhh!

Don't tell my DH that! We moved our dates back a week and added two days so we could still do MNSSHP on Halloween Night.

I'm not flying (taking Amtrack) but all my friends that are flying got great deals out of Atlantic City. I know its not as convenient as Newark Liberty but I think if your cousin wants a good rate she might have to opt for another airport. Check into it. I believe my girlfriend said she got a price of about $600 for 5 people!!!! I'm not sure what airline though. But I know it was out of Atlantic City Airport.

Web Fare Ticket prices each way on Jet Blue from JFK, prices for Saturday 10/30 (there are earlier flights, but they are in the $200's
1. US$116.00 Sat, 30 Oct 04 Flight 31 3:40 pm Depart New York NY (JFK) 6:25 pm Arrive Orlando, FL (MCO)

3. US$79.00 Flight 43 7:05 pm Depart New York NY (JFK) 10:00 pm Arrive Orlando, FL (MCO)

Hi - this is a bit OT, but my cousin and her family are going to WDW 10/30-11/6, which includes Jersey Week, and she's freaking out because the airfares are sky-high. She'd rather fly out of Newark, because it's the closest. Continental wants about $500/ticket, Song wants about the same, and even JetBlue wants about the same!

Last year, ticket prices for November dropped the 1st week of August, but we went the week after Jersey Week, so it's not exactly the same situation...How are you all doing with airfare for that week? TIA!:D

I too will be there for Jersey Week, our schools are closed for that week. I was checking airfare several times per day. With the thought in the back of my head if they don't drop, it looks like we'd be driving. I would always come up with some cheap fares out of JFK or LGA. The only drawback was that they were with changing planes, and one of the planes was a small jet. My DH wasn't too thrilled, so I kept on checking day in and day out. Our original reservations was to arrive on 10/29 (fri) and go to US for two days before heading to the BW for the rest of the week. Then I got extremely lucky. I was checking Continental.com for fares and I just wanted to see what the fare was if I left Newark on 10/28 (thurs). I endend up booking a flight for us at a fare of $177 RT non stop. I will be travelling with a infant in a car seat and her fare was around $85. I was not aware they gave a discount for babies. This was even with a great flight schedule. Eventhough I had to get a hotel for an extra night (Holiday Inn Select for $45 on Priceline), it still makes this a bargain in my eyes. I kept the car rental reservation the same and we will use the free shuttle to the airport and on the morning of the 29th my DH will go back to the airport and pick up the car. For those wondering when I booked this fare it was on July 24th. When I checking in the morning it was up around $260, then I checked again around 4:00 and it dropped. So it shows that you need to be checking the fares several time per day. Good Luck!!!

Most projections seem to base this November's crowd level on prior year's attendance. However, has anyone considered the impact on November crowds from the thousands of travelers who unwillingly rescheduled their original September vacation plans due to hurricanes Frances, Ivan and Jeanne, or the thousands of displaced Floridians still staying at WDW and Orlando area resorts because their homes were damaged?

November theme park visitors can certainly expect an increase in crowds due to the International Food and Wine Festival, Eat to the Beat Concert Series, Jersey Week, Election Day, Veterans Day, and Super Soap Weekend. But is anyone also aware that November is traditionally one of Orlando’s busiest convention months.

The Orange County Convention Center attracts major events such as the National Association of Realtors Conference, International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions, Central Florida International Auto Show and Powergen. The combined estimated attendance just from these four November conventions is 105,000.

Of course not all of these individuals will have the opportunity to visit WDW. But given the conservative probability that at least half of the 105,000 conventioneers will want to see Mickey, November attendance would still increase by nearly 53,000 visitors. You won’t find that statistic in any WDW guidebook

I understand that Jersey Week is Nov 2-7, and Super Soap weekend in Nov 13&14. Am I right? Both will not be going on at the same time.
We used to go right before Thanksgiving.. a great, slow time for awhile. Then the T'giving crowds started showing up earlier and earlier. It started getting impossible the weekend prior to T-giving. Last year we went in Sept and it rained all the time. So we chose Nov again. I'm not worried about Jersey Week, especially if it doesn't coincide with Super soap Weekend.

I think folks are getting confused....

DH and I were at WDW last year during the Super Soaps weekend (may have been Jersey Week too, I don't know), and the crowds weren't bad at all (except at the MK on the weekend, when the crowds always seem outrageous to me no matter what the season!).
