October 30, 2005 4 night Wonder

tstobb,

could ya' come on back "home" and let us know how you're doin? the looney bin is closing in on 5000+ posts now, but it's the same old cast of characters.

All going well?

We are interested in joining a DIS T/T group. I'm not sure we really need maps -- may not be too many of us.

We could set up a time/place to meet on the ship on Sunday evening or Monday morning to exchange room numbers and set up a time to start. It probably makes sense to coordinate the DIS T/T with the ship-board times. Alternatively, if someone wants to take the lead, we can organize it through our posts over the next few weeks.

We have late dinner seating since we booked so late -- that may also factor into the time for the T/T.

So excited!

WOW ! ! ! We booked just Wednesday and out docs arrived today!

We'll be dancing away at the sailaway  so that may be a good place to meet. Deck 10 is usually quite a bit less crowded but you miss the action up there. DW has a few beers in me by then so I'll dance with her (like it takes massive convincing for me to refill my refillable mug several times before 5 pm) :drinking1

As far as T or T, we're up for anything. If anyone has any suggestions, please jump in! Anyone have any big plans for Nassau? We probably won't even get off of the ship (DD8 wants to see the aquarium again but we'll see).

BUMP !

2 weeks from today, we'll be at the port, waiting to board ! ! !

2 weeks from now, we'll be sailing :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: .

I'm going shopping this week for halloween candy - how much should I bring? I guess if I bring too much I can leave it for the CM's in the kids areas...

I was wondering the same thing...Guess better too much than not enough! We can count kids..We have 2, but the 15 year old has to be strongly convinced to T or T.
Tstobb, we were thinking of doing the pirate museum in Nassau. It will be Halloween, so that might be fun. We've never been to Nassau before, but people don't rate it too highly on these boards.

My wife and I have been there 2 times its nice the atlantis is nice and the aquarium is really nice. But they have a whole water park there on the beach. Last time we went we went to The Blue Lagoon. Its where they filmed the movie. Of course you have to pay for it but you can swim with dolfins and stingray there or just lay on the beach and snorkel. I am hoping the halloween party is fun the cruise line sent us a leter with are tickets and I called disney so they are having one how big it is will be left to be seen. I will bring some candy along to just in case.

Pirate Museum sounds interesting. I'm signed up for the city tour and the harbour tour. Does anyone have comments or suggestions on those choices? Time is getting short! I'm excited!!

We picked up a big box of Blo Pops from Costco (no chocolate to melt) for T or T.

Any word on when Pirate night will be? Hoping it's not on Halloween.

We missed out on Palo reservations so we're going to try for those once on-board. Did book our couples massage though! :cloud9:

tstobb - from everything I've read on these boards, PN is on the 3nd night - the night we depart from CC.

The harbour tour is ok we did and some family did it as well. You can see everything if you take a cab to Atlantis it was kind of a let down for just sitting on a boat and someone telling you about the city. And if it is the same tour you have to walk a long way up to Atlantis so with kids it could be hard. We did have fun a Blue Lagoon but you have a long boat ride to get there. I think we might do the Pirate tour if we don't go to Atlantis.

Finally found this place!! Me, my husband, and daughter(4), my MIL, FIL, My BIL, SIL, and their child(18mont) will be cruising as well!!!

I'm getting so excited!! This is my first cruise ever!

I know about the Halloween TT but what is the Pirate Night?

Pirate Night is a special themed night where pirates "take over" the ship for the night and Captain Mickey & his crew save the day. We are bringing pirate costumes to wear but they give you bandanas and eye patches during dinner. The main part of the show happens at a deck party and there are fireworks to wrap it all up.

Your 4 year old will love the cruise! We've never done the 4 day but have done both the 3 and 7 day and there are photo opportunities everywhere, every day. If she loves being a princess as much as my daughter, she won't be at all out of place wearing her dresses to dinner (especially at Triton's).

I saw that you are from Florida - did you get to book at the FL resident rates?

For the first time cruisers my wife found a link on www.cruiseclues.com that said to take a cheap plasic shoe holder that hangs from a door. You can put it in your bathroom and put all your personal items in it instead of them sitting on the sink. We did this on are last cruise and it helped alot. I wish we would have had it when we took are daughter when she was 18 months for all her baby stuff.

Getting excited!

I expect our kids (DS4 and DD6) will dress up each and every night of the cruise. I picked up pirate costumes for the both of them, and we'll be bringing several other costumes aboard. I think as long as the kids are neat and presentable, it is fine to wear costumes to dinner, keeping in mind the dress code in the restuarant for the evening (in other words, no power rangers on semi formal night, but a prince or princess is okay if it is reasonably dressy).

We did one of the Disney Nassau excursions to Atlantis last time -- the one that tours the hotel and goes to the aquarium. My DD, who was 4 at the time, loved it. That being said, I think this time we will not even get off the ship in Nassau and just enjoy some family time in an uncrowded pool and around the uncrowded ship!

I will be picking up some chocolate today for T/T and to snack on in the movie theater. Whatever is left over we will give to the Oceaneer Club staff.

Word is that the 2007 rates for Jan through April will be released tomorrow (Oct 19)! :hourglass

No, We booked before they started the fl resident rates for us. But my travel agent said he was looking into getting us a refund. :fingercrossed:

My husband and I already have pirate costumes for the halloween party. pirate: So we will be ok for Pirate Night.

I am so excited! I just hope that TS Wilma doesn't show her face around our cruise time.

We didn't book the 3 day land. But we are leaving next Thursday and going to Mickey's not so scary Trick or Treat friday 10-28. Then we plan on going to acouple of other parks, we don't know yet. Then we leave sunday for the cruise. But, when we get off of the cruise we are heading back to Disneyworld again for three more days. ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo I can't wait!!
