October 3- 2010 Wonder

Sent you a PM. You are so lucky to do the MNSSHP afterward. We wanted to do that as well but our return flight is on the day we get back into port. We tried to change that but it would have cost us $300 just to change our return flight for the 4 of us + accommodation + food + event tickets for 4. I couldn't justify $1000 just for one extra day. We would have don't it for sure though if the airline had not charged the re-booking fee.

It'll give you something to look forward to next year. :)

Just got a little concerned after watching the Weather Channel with them talking about the tropical low down in the Caribbean possibly moving north into the Gulf or Florida at the end of next week. Just tell me I am worrying too much. Just dont want our flights down or the cruise being cancelled thats all. I'd hate to have to tell the kids the trip is cancelled, but I am optimistic that wont be the case.

In the history of the cruise line, Disney has cancelled only one cruise due to a Hurricane. At 6 days out, if there isn't a threat on the Bahamas, we are pretty much good to go. These things take a long time to form and cause problems. After living in Florida for several years, I can tell you that weather people over dramatize everything.

I second that!!! with a cold alcoholic beverage in my hand. We are slowly starting to get things together to pack. 4 days left until we fly down to Orlando.

I think we might be stuck with rain, on and off, the whole time. But it will be warm - and who knows, maybe the rain will keep the crowds light-ish.

And imagine the gorgeous rainy night, sunsets, at sea. Ah! Get your cameras ready!

Hopefully the bad weather will be far to the north and past by the time our cruise starts. I am just glad we are not on the 3 day cruise before us, the weather is really going to affect them.

Yep, local weather man said it should be clearing up Friday so we should be just fine for Saturday travels and a Sunday cruise. (of course, you know how well we can believe our local weather worriers! ;))

Traveling with DD 12 and DS 8! They will be participating in the kids club-they are getting excited! Will your group do the kids club?

Yes they will be going to the kids club! They can't hardly wait and they are so excited to meet knew friends! :yay:

My DD is 7 and my DS is 10 they are excited to be going to the kids clubs. Of course my DW and I are also excited about them going, he he.:woohoo:

We're right behind you. See all of you onboard. We're as excited as kids would be! Ya-hooooo!!!!

We created a countdown calendar for DD so she can mark an X off every morning and she's so exited it's only 2 more days! :yay:

Well going home to finish packing for our flight tomorrow.:cool1: I hope everyone has a safe trip down to the ship.:thumbsup2 This is going to be a blast, make sure you bring you pirate attire pirate: See you all on the Wonder.

Well the time is really really close now...the countdown calendar says its merely hours now...no more days left!!!!! 20 hours and 37 minutes!!!!!!!

:woohoo: party: :beach:

To any here who see a no-kids middle-aged blonde woman carrying a Duffy the Disney Bear in a sailor suit and taking photos of him all over the ship - That would be me! Epcot will have a special meet-n-greet gazebo & store for Duffy starting October 14th. DCL will also eventually sell Duffy merchandise, although no word yet on whether they will ever have a walk-around character. They are encouraging guests to take him everywhere and document his travels. So my Duffy the Disney Bear will be on this cruise and will have a trip report with photos on his own site. You don't have to have kids to have fun on a Disney cruise! :rotfl2:

Wish I would have known about Duffy and we would have brought ours too.

Currenly driving down I-75 through GA. Weather has been great do far (keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow)!

Do you have Duffy? He was available at the passholder preview on Sept. 18 but has been popular in Tokyo and some people here bought him there. He is basically the same as the original Disney Bear, but with a new name. Yes, I wish you were bringing yours! :goodvibes DL and WDW are "launching" his meet-n-greets and (hopefully by then) store on Oct. 14 and there will be loads of merchandise. I wish DCL would have his merchandise for this cruise, but I'm sure they won't because the 14th is his "official" date for WDW. But I don't care how crazy I'll look carrying him. He has to go on this cruise because my December one is for the chipmunks. ;)

Relaxing before the excitement! Our family just checked into the hotel for the evening before we leave tomorrow. Wow, this is getting fun!
