Hello, my name is Lynne, and I am a gadget-o-holic:

Hi everyone, and I hope everyone is safe from Katrina, saw some terrible news reports today.

When it rains, it pours, (guess I shouldn't use that one) transmission problems, $5,500. A/C not working right, don't know how much yet. There goes my spa appointments......

TiggerandPoo: Hope that your GM will be all right. My mom died of breast cancer in '97, and they have come a long way with cancer treatments of several types since then. That's great about using your points to cruise. We are members of Westin Vacation Owners, which is sorta the same thing. Can't trade the villa points for a cruise, but can go to any of the villas.

Beano: Thanks for the invite, don't know if I will be able to find you guys to get my invitation. You and Tim should be great friends, because I won't bug him at all about how much beer he drinks, because I know he will not be driving, so he can feel free to have at it.

Should I get a T-Shirt??? Don't know if I could get Tim to wear one, can't get him to dress up for Halloween or Pirate night.

Still waiting on someone to tell me what a bushwacker is.....

DisneyDmbNut: Don't know when lobster night is, but I do seem to remember lobster being on most cruise menu's I have been on at least one time during the week, and of course Palo (see I can be trained...) has all that great seafood.

Thanks to everyone who has written and said welcome. :wave2:

 Lynne...

A bushwacker is kinda like a "milkshake" but with 5 different liqueurs! They are famous at Paradise Point!

Take a look for yourself! Join us all...we're going to the top for Bushwhackers!!!

Comments so far on what I have read, other than some of you guys are nutters (but lovely nutters): ... Wish I could have one of those CD's or DVD's so that I can see what you guys did last year, and what everyone looks like. Lynne

Lynne- Too bad all copies of the DVD have been destroyed, riiiiiiiiight Beano? Not that there is anything funny or (incriminating or immature) on it. :rotfl2:

Actually, I was toying with the idea of setting up some sort of online photo album to match screen-names with faces. Thoughts?

Tim-man, glad to see you made it thru ok. The pictures on the news made it look like that part of FL was blown off the map.

P.S. gas here was $3.18/gallon this afternoon. :sad2: Better get my plane tix and car reservations before I can't afford 'em!

HEY LOOK.....its CHERI!!!!

where you been hiding woman?

Hugs,

i know we still have a way to go but i really really really want our cruise docs to come!!
lol..I was thinking today...Maybe they will come by October 7th! :cool1:

As long as my cruise docs are here before I leave for the trip, that is fine with me. Now that they are on the web, I can print them whenever I need them. No worries anymore.

I agree, the "doc-watch" isn't nearly as important as it used to be. We have our plane tickets, passports and everything else ready to go. We can always print out the docs, and we know DCL has us confirmed for the cruise... so no worries! Let's just go. Right now.

'Beano'

October 7th just seems like a nice day for the doc's to come...7 is lucky!

I have printed out the DOC's but I just can't wait to actually have them come UPS.

Ok..I am just desperate for mail~

:wave2: Hey all!

Happy Tuesday!

T&P: :wizard: Pixie Dust to DGM. Our thoughts are with you.

Kim: :wizard: Pixie Dust to DD. $3.00/gallon!!? :faint:

Cheri: I think the photo album is a great idea. Not technilogically advanced enough to help you, but I think its a great idea.

DIS Floridians: Glad y'all made it through Katrina unscathed! :cheer2:

Tenor: We are going to get along just fine....My DD Ryan is almost 6, has red curly hair, knows everything and is not afraid to let you know it! She may just be telling the captain how to drive the ship by about.....Sunday. God love the Oceaneers Lab staff - I hope they go with their A-game for this cruise!! :rotfl2: Can't wait for the girls to meet. It seems there are a lot of boys around 6 now the girls are making a come back!! :Pinkbounc

Plus, I also, just today, took my 2001 F150 SuperCrew, with 72K miles and 10 payments to go (no, not bitter here! :rotfl: ) to the shop for a new tranny.
When it rains it pours indeed!

Tarzanman: What's up with that!!? Geez, I love, love, love my truck. But 72K miles on an automatic tranny!!? Not holding you personally responsible but could you make a call and have that redesigned or something. :teeth:

So much for my bling bling. Guess I'll be driving mine.

I so needed my bushwhackers yesterday!! :drinking1 Looking at the pictures of Paradise Point helped...but it's just not the same. Mikes hard lemonade tried to ease the pain and disgust of the tranny situation, but alas.....no comparison. In the end disgust won out. And so did my bank account.

Hey, anybody want a good laugh... google up the calgon ultimate packing list. I think this couple must be olympic bodybuilders or else travel with an entourage to carry all of their bags. They start with fanny packs (does anyone still use those?) and pack a total of like 10 bags for the both of them. :earseek: Plus, do you really, truly need duct tape!!? :confused3
Or am I really going to pack 10 bags!!? :earseek: :confused3 :scared1:

OK-gotta get DH from train station. Having one car is going to be interesting. I hope he doesn't think I am getting up at 6 am to haul his happy rear to the train tomorrow!! :rotfl:

Can we go yet!!?

Well, I wish I knew more about it. I am in finance, not in engineering but I am sure that problems like that are being looked in to.

I can't believe that you dissed on fanny packs. I wear one as part of my Disney ensemble. Most of the people that I travel with rather enjoy that I carry stuff for them in it. It sure as heck beats carrying a backpack all day!

I wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Okay, I admit it, I still use a fannypack sometimes. I used one when we were at WDW in June. Keeps stuff from falling out of my pocket on the rolly coasters.

Thanks Zachsmom, I think I will get a T-Shirt, I just love being part of a "gang". That's neat you live not too far away. Of course I can't tell Saralinda about all you guy's kids that she is going to meet, because of course she doesn't know that she is going yet.

I guess I can't complain too much about gas. Filled up yesterday at RaceTrac for $2.53, and most places were at $2.59-2.69 for regular unleaded today. Still better than England though, when we were there in February for my mom-in-laws funeral, the gas was over $6-7 dollars a gallon. It's so high there that they put the prices in litres instead of gallons to try and psyche everyone out about how much they are really paying.

Just got back from a friends viewing and funeral is tomm. Kinda sad. Could use a few of them there bushwackers.....

Happy evening to all.

Not dissing fanny packs. Just haven't seen one in awhile. I remember them being quite handy. But since you mentioned it....can you carry my camera!? :rotfl2:

Lynne: So sorry to hear about your friend.

Hmmmm. I'll never tell :smooth: .

Timmy started junior high (oh, middle school, excuuuuuuuuse me!) today. I was hoping for some sort of hint as to what he might be missing in October. No such luck. I REEEEEEEEEAAALLLLLY want to come out on Wednesday and practice with ya', RonnieJo, so I'm gonna have to start pestering the teachers for a work schedule now. (I'm gonna be one of those "damanding" moms - oh, I hate that. But, I have to know if I'm going to be writing any 7th grade English papers or not before we go :confused3 )

I do know how lucky I am that these are the major decisions I have to make right now.

As for all the outgoing 6 year-olds, Captain Cassie (7) will possibly be joining them in the Club. She will also walk up to anyone and ask, "want to be friends?" Not bad on the Magic, but it was a little embarassing when she did it in the grocery store to strangers ("Can I come to your house and play with your toys?" - and no it wasn't last week, she was 4.) Anyway, she generally has most of the Club "as her best friends" before the second day.

Finally, I guess I'll leave my fanny pack at home since Tim's bringing his - and from what I remember it holds a lot! Can you hold my wallett too?

Cheri : If you're still shopping for air I got an email from Travelzoo about Independence air and a sale , you might want to check it out.

Where's Chris are you making him work extra to pay for all of the BLING ?

DID you all see this?
