Hi Everyone,

So, if we were booked for the 8:30 seating, does this give us time to see the early show?

My big dilemma for today? Should we order a t-shirt :earsboy:

Cheers.

Yipeeee DS goes to school today..... :flower: Here we go off to school with a blank cheque. ;)

We already had a teacher call last night, good thing was I could advise him that Kevin was going to miss 3 days of school. Our high school here has a week break the last bit of Oct and the first few days of Nov so he will only miss 3 days but the girl will miss 8...yikessss :earseek: We are lucky though she doesn't even give an effort and gets really good grades so it should not be a problem. Only thing is the teacher she has this year is the one everyone dreads so we will see how this goes ;)

We have been told 8:30 but where not aware of staggared seating so I guess we will find out when we get there. :confused3

Count down to camping....I really don't mind it but we only have a tent this year and I am too old to sleep on the ground, and since we traded in our gas guzzling van we don't have alot of room to bring stuff. I volunteered to stay home but was outvoted...lol.......Oh did I mention it was 3 days 2 nights with DH's family.... :earseek: :rotfl2:

Well better get the boy up for school :rotfl:

Have a great day!!!

Kim

MORNING!

We had a bad internet rumor go around yesterday that they were closing Port Everglades and no gas would be coming in, but diverted to NO...so, there was a nice run on gas yesterday. Didn't know about it till I went to the gas station and there were 20 cars in line!! YIKES!! I wish I lived in Wisconson!

I have early seating for dinner..does that mean I have to eat at the crack of dawn if I want to have a sit down? I think someone addressed this before, but I don't remember.

I am here in NH and gas has Spiked to 2.75 a gal right near me , and a few miles down the street its 285 a GALLON>> they are saying it could go to 5.0 a gallon.. :moped: CAN U SAY MOPED!!

It should be ok..the gas futures dipped abit this morning with the news that they are releasing some oil from the reserves. That and some relief from Venezuela ( and Pat Robertson wanted to off Chavez ) should help with the $...if nothing else, it should keep it the same,

Rachel - I only WISH gas would 'spike' to $2.75 here. :goodvibes

Good 'ol California... already tough to find gas under $3.00 here; and I have 5 cars to keep fueled. :guilty: It cracks me up how people look at me weird when I gas up the hearse. What, do they think it runs on magic dust? :rotfl2:

'Beano'

In Canada today we are paying about $1.19 per litre. Now I am not sure how many litres are in a gallon.

ANyone else finding it harder to work and stay off these boards :rotfl:

Wisconsin is not much better! I had to wait in line for gas just the other day, and it's up over $3 / gallon :confused3

On a happier note, I got four new dresses for the cruise in Chicago this weekend, and three new pairs of shoes :cool1: I think we have a suitcase designated just for shoes :rolleyes1

Welcome to all of our newcommers!

Cheri - I think that a photo album is a great idea :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday!

1 gal = 3.78 liters. So, at $1.19 per liter, that about $4.49 a gallon. :scared1:

I think this 'staggered' dinner seating is a bad idea. I wish we didn't have to be the guinea pigs! :confused3

Oopsss sorry Cheri I didn't respond to that.. I would love to participate in a photo album. Great to put a face with the name before we get to port or before Epcot.

Ya it is somewhere around there (the gas thing). I know the Canadian and US Gallons are different....some brilliant idea by Pierre Trudeau way back when....but what ever it is it is too d*** much.... I am glad we have 2 compact cars and 2 motorcycles.

Abou the seating thing?? Does anyone know when we will find out what seating we have. On Disneycruise.com I still have 8:30PM seating. I do hope it is at the same time each night but I don't want it too early.

Kim

Mine says 6:00pm...works for me!

My friend lives in New Orleans but was in California this weekend so she is safe but isn't sure what she is going home to or WHEN the airport will reopen! :sad2:

:wave2: Well I tell ya, with all these people homeless and stranded, and the funeral I just got home from, it really puts things into perspective how lucky we really are.

Cheri, here's my embarassing kid story. I was a nanny for a couple of years before I quit working after I got married. I used to tell the joke "does your face hurt?" she'd say no, and I would say "well it's killing me". Yes, you guessed it, she was in the grocery check out line with her mother and she asked the lady, "does your face hurt......" right away her mom said she was thinking "MISS LYNNE!!!!!!!" somehow she thought that one was on me....

:guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: Not on list on page 1 post #13 as going on the TOTing. :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

Would be happy to send a pic to add to the photo album, except I don't know how to use my scanner :badpc:

Saw a pic of them thar bushwackers, they sure look good. I am also a fan of the fru fru drinks, although I like Jack & Coke. Can't drink beer or wine, makes me desperately sick I am afraid. It's funny that I can't drink wine, but I can drink the hard stuff. Should I go ahead and reserve a time for the tram? Are all you guy's going at a particular time?

TomTo: Don't worry about missing the show for the 8:30. Disney staggers them so that while the early people are eating, we are watching the show, and vice versa. That helps because then people don't go and watch it 2 times in a row and eat up all the seats for people who have not seen it yet.

Can anybody give me any cheap and easy and cheap ideas for something for pirate night? For me and for Pookie. I agree with Beano about the staggered times for dinner, would rather go to early show with Pookie and then go to dinner. But I guess for people who skip show (the fools) and want to eat just that tiny bit earlier, don't wanna rain on their parade...

If anybuddy has extra dvd's of your last get together, send me one.

Tenor :rolleyes1

Sorry Lynne - I slacked off on the job.

I'm not so sure about this staggered seating time. Shame they have to start it on our cruise. On DCL I never saw a problem with people getting into the dining rooms at one time. On Princess, now that's a different story. Bunch of 80+ year olds, hungry, cranky, and screaming for their pork chops - they needed staggered seating.

Expect some trickle down effects of Katrina in more areas than just gas. :guilty:

Thank you CANADA!

- just heard that Canada is pledging help with disaster relief. You guys rock up North!!!
