Has anyone evertried the SERVICE in FL where they do CUSTOM gift baskets for kids and have them waiting for them upon arrival?Is it worht the $$? This will be our 1st Cruise and thought it may be cute to have a little treat for them ( one that I didnt have to make or pack)

I'd be interested in this too. Although I would like to make one for my husband who will be fifty a few weeks after the cruise. Something cool and different.

I've done the 'repair work' on hundreds and hundreds of autopsies, so as to give grieving family members the closure they need. Therefore, I've held countless sets of lungs, kidneys, hearts, livers, and well... you get the idea...

I'm a professional embalmer, and pathologists realy don't concern themselves with what I have to deal with when they're done with they're findings. So I gots to be good at it!

Oh thank God. For a minute there I had you pictured as some kind of sanctimonious surgeon who delighted in juggling your patients organs from hand to hand all the while laughing sinistserly while weird organ - no pn intended - music is playing in the background. Thankfully I can blow that picture right out of my head. I see why you're as funny as you are though and why humor must be an important part of your life.

FTR, I gave up smoking 13 years ago and I have since morphed into one of those snarling born again non smokers.

Got a slight sunburn today, but it will be gone by tomorrow. Enjoyed a day away from work (well, I guess not completely because I just checked all of my email and sent back replies )

All I could think about while we were walking along the ocean's edge was how much I could NOT WAIT until October to be at Castaway Cay and the Caribbean beaches.

Anyway--carry on--back in a week.

Yuck Monday morning. Well good thing is, is that we are 1 day closer to Oct.

Thanks for the info on the car service, they all seem about $100 each way. Seems a little pricey but more convenient then a rental car.

Does anyone know how long Magic is in drydock for??? No real reason for asking just curious what they do.

Kim, I THINK the Magic is in dry dock for 2 weeks. Ours is the 3rd cruise after dry dock. Last year, we were on the 2nd cruise after dry dock, when they put in Diversions, Cafe Cove, and The Stack. I'm not sure what they're doing to her this year... Just clean up my boat and get her ready for me, man!

my prayers today go out to the jennings family, peter was a good newsman..

i heard there were putting in a 25 foot jumbotron by the goofy pool for movies at night by the pool, did anyone else hear this.

just took care of the passports today, i just had to renew mine and my wife has never had one so i hope we will get them in time

Fortunatley we got our passports a few months ago. We where planning on going to the Mayan Riviera over Christmas this year so we got them early. We figured we where going to need them soon anyways even to go to the States so figured we would beat the rush...

We might actually be arriving in Disney a day earlier then planned....yaaaaaa. Not to sure yet, in order to change our flights it would cost quite a bit as I booked on a DING sale so if another sale comes up I will change our flight.... Keeping my fingers crossed.

T&P I also heard about the big movie screen. Not sure if it is true or not.

Looks like some chatter on the Teens thread, my daughter has been chatting up a storm with a few. Still can't get my son on there but I know I will soon. His work schedule isn't so bad this week so he will get on.

I'm going to miss all the great fun of T-or-T aboard the Magic this year.
I've been lurk on your thread to see if you've got anything going on yet.
I didn't see a list of t-or-t'ers post yet, are you going to do one for the "DIS" children.
We had such a great time in the past doing this our groups got bigger and bigger every year. Last year we had so many that we had to divide the children into 5 groups starting a different group on each deck that had staterooms. My DH and I copied the ship deck maps enlarged them and then outlined and numbered the staterooms first to hit and so on till we got to the last one on that deck then off to the next deck. We had two group leaders for each group one to lead and one to follow each leader had a paddle that we held up that stated we were the "DIS" a private group. Each head group lead had a map for each deck that had staterooms to visit. Because we had the 5 groups( 10 to 12 children in each group) each set of maps had to have a different starting deck. As I recall the paddles were made out of 2 paint stirrers and poster board in the shape of Mickey's head, they worked great.

We've had people sneak in to the groups in the past. They saw us in the lobby and just joined in thinking it was a Disney event.

I did post a closing date for signing up so that we had a finally head count for those making goodie bags.

It's a good idea to have your T-or-T in the morning since Disney usually has theirs in the afternoon. I'm sure they have been lurking here to see what you've got planned. So you'd beter get started on this if your going to have one.
BTW Disney's costume contest in the past has always start around 10 p.m.. I think they are going more for the adults on this but I've always seen children in it but with a family theme. You'll see alot of Chimney Sweep families, Scooby-Doo and the Gangs, Pirates of the Caribbean and so on.

I have a question about the teen thread? My DD is 10 but will be 11 in Sept. I was not sure if other kids her age were posting there or just pming each other Second... where is it I know it is somewhere on our thread but for the life of me can't find it

Hi Trent,

My daughter is posting on another thread. Still under cruise meets but it says Teens on Oct 29, 2005 Magic...or something to that effect but it certainly starts with teens. I really would like my kids to have some friends even before they get on the cruise. They are both shy to start but fine once they get started so I hoped the getting started part could be online...

There are a few who have been posting on there but not alot.

Boy, gone two days and you guys take off. 3 pages?OK, let's see .... I'm up for saying bye-bye to the Magic ( me wanna go too!).

And, my kids have gotten a few emails. Now Timmy (12) is checking the board often and wondering when it's going to take off. It makes such a big difference to have buddies before they board. Especially for the shy and the older ones who don't always become BFF's immediately like little ones.

Betsy- Kate asked! ("I want to know everything!" Cassie will tell you that and more! It gets kind of embarassing - you never know what they hear.)

OK, is it CORNY to do DISNEY costumes? and for me and hubby ones that match/coordinate..LOL..OR Should we do costumes at all?

Wasnt planning on bringing Costumes for us...but i am searching them and wondering WHAT we should be...NO WAY Will hubby dress as Pooh OR mickey...LOL So i need something that he will do and then I can match ANY IDEAS?
