We have our BIG Swedish Festival this weekend.

A parade, lots of craft booths and food booths, etc. Your typical small-town stuff. Pretty cool really. Brings lots of revenue into our little dot-on-the-map!

After that, it's more backyard work / shopping to achieve that end. Still have painting to do, need more sand for our 'beach', stuff like that.

I, personally, plan to spend Sunday laying on my butt and doing nothing! (It's been a rough week, especially today, so I could sure use a 'down day').




Why do they lock the restrooms at gas stations? Are they afraid someone might clean them?

My weekend consists of wedding stuff. I gotta pick up chairs today, get tuxes tomorrow, rehearsal & rehearsal dinner, then sunday take chairs to great falls, set them up, meet at the hotel, change, ride into limo to great falls, see my friends git hitched, then reception....did someone say...OPEN BAR! I got my speech prepared, kinda heart felt, hopefully i speak into the microphone rather than my empty beer. Hopefully if the weather holds out, i can get in a round of golf tomorrow....it is supposed to break around midnight tonight and just be kinda cloudy tomorrow. We shall see.

Hey Beano Monday around 1:00 is fine with us ! Just make sure you don't make it one of those open ended parties or we may never leave!

We got out MNSSHP tickets in the mail !

Has anyone ever flown into Tampa ? How far of a drive would it be from Tampa to Cocoa Beach???

We spent the weekend cleaning up the back yard and getting the pool ready.
This should be our last week for spring and then the heat starts.

Pdawg : Any girls that can't put up with some guys having fun at a bachelor party need to get a life. Next time come to Vegas and we'll take care of you.

It would take you about 2 hours at least from Tampa to Port Canaveral.

Now as for that Party in the Walt Suite--anytime sounds good to me 1:00 on a sea day though does sound like good planning.

Hey SueEllen - Can you tell me when the fall rates will be out for WDW? I need to make my ressies for the Poly for 3 nights before the cruise. LMK and I will put in my ressie request with Dreams.

I'm getting Timmy ready for 6th grade camp. As a 6th grader, you get 5 days off of school to go hang in the mountains and goof around. now if I could only find a way to send his sister too..it would be like camp for Mom as well..

Hey kids how's everyones weekend going??
Well we officaly have all 4 skate programs choreographed !!!!!
Now we have 2 months of practice and prop making , costume fitting........ before worlds in July.

Hey Chris I remember 6th grade camp is it at Forrest Home??
My 6th grade boyfriend is the morning DJ now here in Vegas, it's such a small world. I remember lots of hiking , square dancing and John Denver music.
Is everyone taking their kids out of school for this cruise or are you lucky enough to be on break ? I was just reading a thread on the cruise fourm and it got me wondering. I aksed for track 4 which put Cassie off of school , but we'll see if she gets it.

Mine is Cassie (short for Cassandra) she is 8 going on 28 and will be in the third grade when we cruise.

Luckey: we don't have "tracks" here in CA (well at least not around here). We have taken our kids out of school every year. Good parents huh?! I believe that cruising is a life experience in itself and our kids teachers have been very nice in accomodating us. By the way, how is it that "I" end up with homework as well as my kids?? What are you gonna do, I'm a Disneyaholic and cannot help myself!!

Hey Ronnie: You do have tracks in CA , ny nieces in Meniffee were on year round school. I like it most of the time but it takes some getting used to.
Cassie is on tr. 5 this year which is the most like a 9 month plan. She gets out the first week of July while the other tracks don't finish until the middleof Aug.

P-Dawg: hope all your wedding stuff happened on time and that it was enjoyed by all!

Cheri: Kimmy just came back from science camp...she had a great time! Now she talks of wanting to go back when shes in high school (as a counselor). Guess that means she really enjoyed herself! Hope Timmy does too!

Sparrow: you have a DD correct?...how old will she be on the cruise? I think Beano & I have the oldest kids in our group...ours are DS-15 and our DD will be 13. There are many girls going...the majority of which are around 8 (I think) no matter what her age she'll have a great time!

Ronnie and Luckey: DD is 17 and will be a high-school senior this fall. Looks like she'll be older than most of the girls, but that's OK. She loves going on cruises (this will be our fifth Disney cruise) as do my DH and I!

Let me extend an invitation to you to our on-board DIS party. Most of the people from this thread are planning to attend... but don't let that discourage you!

It'll be at 1:00 PM on Monday, 10/31in our stateroom. I'll give out invitations at the port so you don't really have to remember the date and time! You and your family are all invited. We'll have a buffet lunch, and maybe a glass of wine, or two, or... We do it every year and it's always lots of fun. Hope you'll join us!
