WAY TO GO ANGELS! :cool1:

Just had to say it. :sunny:

That's a gorgeous dress Lynne! What a great price, too!

Thanks Trishy!!!! I thought it would be perfect for a nice family picture.
Like you said, the price was right.

TinkyRyans: That is too funny!!! I guess what would have been funnier, is if we would have had the same dress, lol. I think I know the pink one that you are talking about. It was a great deal wasn't it. Only problem is since she still doesn't know we are going yet, do I still let her see the dress when it comes, or save it for a secret for the ship?

Love 2 Shop: Hubby was picking on me yesterday for even beginning to pack. He's like Lynne, you have a month....I like doing it early though because then when I think of something I put it in the suitcase, before I can forget it later. He thinks I am nuts!!! Can you imagine anyone thinking I am crazy??? :rotfl2:

Lynne

The chocolate ship is awesome! I have seen similar before, and always from 3rd party vendors; never Disney. We will have a cake for the DIS party (guess I forgot to mention that), however nothing as fancy as that... just a simple Halloween cake!

'Beano'

Just thought I would say hello and I can't believe it is only four weeks away! Actually it is less for me because we are leaving the 25th for WDW. We are staying at Port Orleans FQ and doing the halloween party. I am SO ready. Anyone got their docs yet? I have not seen ours yet. Just wandering! YEAH!

Ok- I think the Fed Ex Ground Delivery Guy reads these threads! :goodvibes

I think he is taunting me!!

He has passed my house like 9 times today. He drives by one more time waving a document envelope out of his window and I am chasing him down and beating him up!! :rotfl2:

I wanna leave now.......

Tenor: what color did you order? Once you see it, it will be really hard not to put DD in it. Maybe if you can't stand it you could tell her its for X-mas dinner or New Years or something!? Just a thought. Go Cowboys!

Not dressing up for Halloween. Just wearing a Halloween t-shirt.

Put Stingrays on my wish list. Good to know we can attempt to book 10/2 and FYI if you are curious, absolutely nothing comes up for Palo. Gonna have to make that ressie run after all. Anybody with me!?

Gina - we leave on the 25th also. Staying at the Polynesian. Not doing MNSSHP this year, as we've done it the last 2; just going to Mickey's Backyard BBQ, and the Food and Wine Festival @ Epcot. :cool1:

Johnna - Same here for Halloween ; no costumes, just maybe Halloween t-shirts. I am still tired from making our sailaway shirts! :rotfl2:
Probably just buy some cheap, cheesy "This is my costume" tshirts. :earsboy:

'Beano'

We have Decided to forgo the costumes for us too...BAHH humbug you say..NAHHHH, we love disney halloween butWe wear our Costumes 24 hrs a day..dont need to buy another :rotfl2:

I've been putting in ridiculous hours to finish a major upgrade of the imaging system for my employer. Trent is getting lots of days substitute teaching, so one way or another we'll be able to afford this wacky junket. Trent is also the Scoutmaster for Hannah's troop and as if that's not enough, she's a recruiter for the local district. Since the beginning of the school year she seems to have one evening meetings after another, so that's where we've been hiding.

Julie: Thanks for putting the t-shirts together for us. They arrived today and they look just perfect.

We've been assembling all the clothes and costumes we'll need and almost have everything ready to leave a 4 weeks from Friday. We are definitely staying at the Radisson Resort at the Port. We have decided to extend our stay after the cruise and have booked a couple of nights at the Shades of Green Resort. We just can't leave the area without a little taste of the park's magic.

Cheri: Weve been meaning to post some pics, but have been having some difficulty especially since our home PC went down with a bad motherboard. I've been working off my laptop, but I hate a QWERTY keyboard. (I use a Maltron keyboard designed for the one-handed.) Here's one of my favorite family shots from a few of years ago. The pic date should be 10/30/2002

We are so looking forward to meeting all of you and celebrating life and all our blessings to their absolute fullest!

Guess I've just been bashed. Will try to remember not to refer it as Palo's anymore :rotfl:

Been away for a couple of days so a lot of catch up reading to do. Been Up North as we call it here in Canada. HockeyChic will know what I mean. Weather has been great.

Kim, we will be flying down on the 26th if we're lucky. Remember we always fly standby. Hope to rent a car and visit friends in Tampa til the morning of the 29th.

Our reservations for "Palo" on Halloween night are for 9 pm.

Take care all of you.

Beano: Thanks so much for the pic link. Wish I could send out a pic of my Pookie.

TRMOM: We got the burgundy velvet one. I know I am gonna have a hard time resisting trying her out in it. I know what you mean about the FedEx guy. Everytime the doorbell rings, I jump thinking, hey could be those doc-o-roonies!! About you havin no Palo: We have a brunch on Sunday the 30th at 11:00 for 4, but there are only 3 of us: Me, DH, our Miss Judit (our Hungarian Aupair). Would you like to come and be the 4th????? I know you might not want to come and leave out the ole DH. I am not sure what the rules are for trying to squeeze in a 5th on a 4 person ressie. Beano would know more about them allowing that, but if they do allow it, then he would be able to come as well. Of course you could still do the scramble and still get a second brunch since this one won't count against you as it is our ressie, and get yourself a dinner one as well. Lemeno. Maybe we can take a pic of both of our girls in their new dresses.

Lynne

Lynne - No promises here, but from my experience, I would say there's a very good chance of a 5th person being allowed at Palo. Many of the tables are only for 4 people, but the booths... if they'll hold 4, they'll hold 5! :)

So my advice is, if nothing else is available, go to Palo a day or 2 before your ressie, tell the maitre de (or as I like to call him, the dude at the desk) you have 5 instead of 4 and see what they say. Generally speaking, "no" is not in their vocabulary. I never let them tell me no! :teeth:

'Beano'

You sound like me, in our neck of the woods, he is also known as "hey buddy" or "hey bubba". Don't think he would like to be called bubba though.

Yeah, I don't imagine that they do tell you no very often, given the last two trips you have been in the "poobah" suites. Not sure I will receive the same treatment, although I must admit that that can do attitude seems to transfer to us all. I was in the same cat. 12 last time, and they still treated me wonderfully.

Enjoyed everyone's photo's.

Lynne

Whooo Hoooo,

I get to be the first one to say, "One month from today, we'll be cruising".

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

:cool1: Yeah!!!! One month!!!

Charlie - that picture is too adorable!!!! OMG - how on earth did you get all 4 characters in there? It's hard enough for me to get just 2 characters in a picture. The girls are such cuties. Really adorable.

Lynne: We "squeezed" 2 more into our reservation for 2 on our first cruise - Palo is pretty cool about it. They seem to understand and even encourage passengers to get to know each other and meet up for meals. DCL really wants to please everyone. My daughters have all had friends join our table for dinner or they join their friends - it's all okay there. We tried that on our last cruise (a different major cruise line) and I thought our waiter was going to have a seizure. On our last DCL cruise, one night my oldest was going to have dinner with the teen group, but decided she didn't want to after all (after we were already in Lumiere's). She was passing through the atrium and our server spotted her, went out and grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into the dining room. She was wearing shorts and a t-shirt (dh & I were embarrassed to tell the truth), but he insisted she stay and have dinner because she was a "growing girl". They're just that way - always trying to please. You'll absolutely love this cruise. Having cruised 2 other lines, I'm soooo looking forward to being back on DCL.

One month!!!!

You know, trishy, I have to agree! I have had so many conversations with both family and friends who have cruised on other lines, and it always seems that Disney treats their guests best, by far! Whether it's room service, dining room service, boarding issues, cleanliness, dealing with problems, etc. etc. ... Disney gets higher rankings than all the rest.

If I told someone that I had a strange dream... "I was on a Disney cruise, and when I tried to get off the ship, they stopped me and asked me to help them log passengers on and off"... they'd say, "Whoa, what a weird dream. Impossible"!!

NCL actually did that. They also rationed food after informing passengers that they were eating too much!!

I once spent 4 hours sitting in a ship's lobby, waiting for the ship to clear customs. No luggage, no food, no drinks. Pure boredom.

On Disney, it's never taken us more than maybe 30 minutes to get off the ship and to our car.

Anyway, I can go on and on... repeat cruisers know what I mean. For you first time DCL cruisers... get ready for the best treatment afloat! :)

So what does everyone use for garment bags? We have 2 normal sized ones, but DW and DD wil definately fill those up with no room for me. Does anyone make larger ones??

I'm sorry, but i have to .... :cool1: go Padres go Padres :cool1: .

So sorry Bo's mom :guilty: .

So it looks like all I really need is a hat and not a full blown costume to cool.

DD has a pretty bad cold  never thought I 'd be happy that she's sick but lets get it done with now !

I organized my accordian file today with all my neccesary papers, if I could just fill that cruise doc spot.

Who else has their confirmation # memorized ? :rotfl:

luckey, I'm with you... while the Red Sox and Yankee fans squabble... we can quietly send the Padres and Angels to the World Series!

And, FYI - I have memorized my Disney confirmation #, Dreams Unlimited Reservation #, Stateroom #, limo company's phone #, Polynesian confirmation #, Airline flight #'s, Mickey Mouse's Social Security #, and last, but oh dear Lord, not least...

My credit card #!!!! :worried:

'Beano'
