I don't want to miss that part either. Just to be in the area with all the excitment   ....

I wanna go now.....Ok no wait, don't quite fit into the new bathingsuite yet :rotfl:

I had the car service picking us up at 9:AM from The All Stars....or POFQ, haven't decided if we should change it.....I really would like to try POFQ but that is still up in the air.

Kim

Sean - definitely wear the pirate outfits to dinner. The servers will be decked out in their finest pirate attire also. Makes for a nice, casual, festive atmosphere.

We're hoping to get to the port by 11. :Pinkbounc :bounce: Just can't wait.

Alright now, let me clear up this room service thing.

Room service is free. There is no charge. Gratuity is not included in anything because there are no prices. If you wish to tip, which would be nice, you tip with CASH. Usually a dollar or two. So, if you bring $10 in cash, you should be okay for the week unless you are going to use it a lot.

Tim - $10?? You big spender! :rotfl:

I think RonnieJo thought of room service as being extra since we usually tip concierge for their services, and we also order enough food for a small army, and we also order alcohol ! :drinking1 :drinking:

I think last years' room service total was around $300 bucks or so, not including Chris and Cheri's generous contributions. And the food portion was 'free'! :rotfl2: But the beverages were on the KTTW card, the tips were cash of course.

Maybe we should call the DIS party "Friends of BeanoC" , as opposed to "Friends of Bill W." ? ;)

(No disrespect meant there by the way, Bill W. folks!)

Question # 1274632-1 :rotfl:

Has anyone ever done the Pinel Island Snorkel tour at St Marten???

We are considering it but not sure?? Any experience??
Thanks
Kim

Can't say that I have. Why don't ya go on it and tell me how it is? Just kidding. I am sure that someone has gone on it before.

luckey-
Don't be embarassed about not being thrilled with the Palo menu (not Palo's, right Beano - hate to get reprimanded). I LOVE the brunch, but am not a big fan "foo-foo" food. It is nice to spend 1 1/2 hr in quiet though ..... I usually order a "gourmet" pizza for an entree so I don't have to mess with the "herbed pork loin in a sherry reduction with a rosemary infusion accompanied by roasted fennel and blue cheese baby red potatos in a light cream sauce."

Sorry gang it has taken me so long to write. Unfortunately i won't be able to attend this years cruise. Since i told my boss off and got fired, granted i had another job lined up, i can't take a vacation this year. If i did it would be without pay and i can't do that right now. If anyone wants to email me they can email me at my new email address. pmcconville@cpasurvey.com Hope everyone has a fun time and you all will be missed.

P-dawg

P-dawg - Sorry to hear you can't cruise with us this year. And I even had a spot reserved for you in our suite... and in the infirmary! :paw: :paw: :paw:

Good luck with the new job; save your pennies and we'll cruise together next year. :)

Cheri - I must say, I am with you when it comes to the food , for the most part. I'd rather have a cheesburger and fries from Pluto's than steak almondine ala puree of chilled monkey brain at Lumieres. But the brunch at Palo? Give it here baby!!

'Beano'

oh no,

now i am rethinking out palo ressie after the post i have read. is it not worth it. i thought it would be nice to take my wife for our anniversary even if it is a little late help i am so confused, king beano queen ronniejo please i require you expertise for i am not worthy of a decision :worship: :worship: :worship:

Sean...

Ya gotta go! Do Palo dinner....it is great! Don't forget to order the famous chocolate souffle!

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

Wowzers - OK- sounds like my friend must have ordered wine or something to the room hence the $45 or so in charges. RJ: Thanks for the info! :wizard:

Luckey: You are so kind! Currently the plan is to wait until we get our KTTW card and "Welcome Aboard" newsletter at the port and then quickly line out our Palo evening. I know most have booked online but I want to experience the traditional "run for the ressies" and see what happens. We are thinking Thursday or maybe Wednesday but it all really depends on our dining rotation...which we won't know until the port. If nothing pans out there, maybe I will take you up on that offer and spend a quiet evening with DH, DLuckey and DLuckeyDH! :rotfl:

Kinda gonna play it by ear since we are first time cruisers with DD6 and really want to do what we want to do, when we want to do it and not be slave to the excursion schedule. Really wanted DH to do the regatta - so did sign up for that. Otherwise, we figure we'll get our schedule lined out and then see whats available. :confused3 We'll see if it works - if not, I guess we'll swim alot, meet a lot of characters (Disney or otherwise) and have plenty of fun. Win-win situation I'd say!! :Pinkbounc We're just excited to be going.

RJ: T-shirt question. The "limeys" are worn to port right? and then also to the sailaway party? I think we are going to take Luckeys idea and try to do them as a family craft. Should be interesting. We are taxi'ing it to the port from HI Oceanfront at 9am should be enought time to people watch right!?

Kim: I know you looked at documents online. What do I need to be looking for assuming the website works better than the other day. :)

Sounds like a good idea to have those forms filled out upon arrival - more people watching time.

Speaking of people watching: Why is it people from the midwest wear socks with their sandals!? :confused3 :rotfl: When I worked at Disneyland that was always a summertime joke - how many midwesterners can you spot today. OK- maybe a location joke but y'all know what I am talking about!!

To answer on Ronnie's behalf - yes, the lime shirts are worn at the port, and to the sailaway party (and of course at the fabulously fun lifeboat drill, too!)

You know what is worse than socks with the sandals?? Dress shoes with bermuda shorts! LOL Especially if it's black shoes, white socks and tan shorts. What a fashion statement. :goodvibes

HEY !! As a proud midwesterner from Nebraska I object to the preceding statement. I would never wear socks with sandles, and most people I see here in Lincoln, don't either. I always thought it was something really old men did...like wearing colored socks pulled way up with thier shorts on.

Good Morning all!!!!

Sorry to hear your won't be joinning us P-Dawg. I hope you enjoy your new job.

It drives my DD nuts when DH wears his socks pulled up...with his running shoes not sandles :rotfl: She is always pulling them down. I think he does it just to annoy her... :confused3

Well 68 sleeps till I get to leave for WDW. Why is this taking so long

We don't have ressies for Palo. I would have liked to get in on the Brunch but there was nothing available when I went to reserve. I might look into it when I get on the ship but I will probably forget all about it cause I will be so excited.

We decided against the Pinel snorkel thingy...just going to explore and shop.

Hope you all have a great day!!

if you are talking about the menu at Palo wouldn't it be Palo's menu?? Where is Fran the teacher???? :teacher:

Pat- sorry about your job...I told my boss off the other day and walked out...too bad he just won't fire me..I think after 9 years, he enjoys making me crazy! I would have so much more time to plan my trip if I was home!!! :rotfl:

Making my last payment today!!!

Well...off to play with my dump trucks and loaders...make sure everyone has their OSHA fun packs!

Alright there lady- Don't go making the newbies think that Palo is not good. I for one like fancy food. I don't get to experience that stuff all the time at home and it is a nice change of pace. I love all the sauces and such.

Ronnie, I have never seen you happier with food than with that pasta with the Boursin cheese.

SO, on that note, EVERYONE SHOULD GO TO PALO IF YOU CAN! You will at least know what the fuss is about. And the Souffle is really fantastic. Chocolate lovers delight!

Is it really only 67 days away?

BEANO, that means only 65 days until you see me again! I know how much you are looking forward to it. Say hi to Bob and Johnnie for me.

Paul- Are you lurking?

Betsy - No, it is still the PALO menu... and it's a good one!

Tim - Of course I am looking forward to seeing you. I need someone to buy me drinks at the Polynesian. I nominate thou. :teeth:

Paul said he would start posting here after the transition cruise, which he is also going on. I think I hate him. ;)

I will tell Bob and Johnnie that Uncle Tim says hi. I 'spect they're looking forward to seeing you too. Just a hunch. :)

Kim - You are NOT allowed to skip the brunch at Palo, says me. You'll be able to get in at some point. But you gotta go!! ::yes::
