Sorry I missed the show! Dinner was good. Ryan says to tell Beano "I love the cruise DVD and I watch it every day".

RCCL..I was looking at the 9/18 cruise since that is my birthday. And darned closed to RJ's birthday too, I might add.

So maybe RJ and I will go. :sailing guy: (smilies not working?)

I think definitely D-land 3/24-3/27 since DD is off from school. Gonna try to buy SoCal passes and see if I get caught.

Then I am golden when Beano finds us that not to be passed up cruise deal this summer.

Well not to butt in ...but there is the Diamond Princess sailing 9/23 for 7 days and the Silver Seas, Silver shadow cruising for 9 days 9/17. I think the silver shadow would be right up Chris's alley. Holds 328 passengers and every cabin is a suite.

Johnna - if it was "something or ruther" of the seas, that makes it Royal Caribbean. And actually, I think I will look at them now, given the disappointing results with Carnival. No real reason to choose Carnival, other than price; but apparently, you get what ya pay fer!! A suite that is equal to Disney's cat. 10?? Beano no think so!!

So, plan B it is. RCCL, what 'cha got fer Bean and his peeps??

Beenie - I will tell you that I was in the suite 10 years ago before the lines started making more suites.
But...my superintendent here took a cruise the week before ours and he had a "deluxe suite" on RCCL...the "suite" was 240sf (including veranda)..that is just 26sf bigger than the cat 10! And he paid $3.5k for 3 days!

i know...but I think you MUST have a suite on other ships because we are spoiled by DCL

There is a Dave Matthews cruise next month...my friends are going...they had a 157sf room on the ship and are paying 900!!! I know that it is more because of the special cruise, but what do you do, take turns using the room...step into the hall so the other person can get dressed??

I know you guys won't agree, but I found Carnival's cat 12 on all but 1 of the 6 Carnival ships I have been on, larger than the cat. 12 on the Magic...of course all yew guy's don't wanna cat 12....but I would do a reunion cruise on Carnival, lots cheaper fer us fer sure. And, yes, of course I would miss all things Mickey...but ifin we's is jest trying to finda cheap way to get together, it is certainly do-able...I think it's more than just the shippiepoo, although the Magic is special, but the company that we would be with...we can laugh and drink and have fun, and act crazy, on any shippiepoo we wuz on, because we would all be a bunch of great friends together. Call me crazy, but I think that is what counts the most. I don't think that there is any ship on any line that I couldn't enjoy myself with you peeps.

Okay....lemme tell ya bout this: jojo...you already know, toldja when you called me last night!!!...thanks fer that by the way....

OKAY....got an birthday party invitation from one of saralinda's peeps at school yesterday for a party at the Chuckmeister's next Sat.....at the bottom...it reads as follows:

"*Parents: Being so close to Christmas, please no presents! If you would like, you can donate to his college fund. Class 2023.


WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?????...alrighty then, call me crazy again, but that is just so unfair to me!!!! You can give the kid a birthday party, but you tell all yer kids guests NOT to bring a present???? That's jest wrong. As some of you may know, I know a little bit bout this so close after Christmas thang ...and I kinda got that too growing up. Either one big birthday or one big Christmas...but never, somehow, enough money for both. Ifin you think he got too many Christmas presents, then don't get him as many, so that he can have some on his birthday for crying out loud!!!! Even Saralinda got upset when I told her what the card said about no presents....she nearly cried...she said "let's get him one anyway"...and really I am tempted to do so. On the one hand, I don't want to usurp the parents, but on the other hand, don't give yer kid a big party, but tell him he can't have any presents!!!!!!

WHAT DO YOU PEEPS THINK????...get present anyway, or give in to parents wishes....just have trouble with parents basically asking for money....

HI BEANS!!!!!! ....I can't remember ifin I already toldja this, but you said you were mailing a copy of the DVD for Miss Judit, and we never got it.


Speakin a Miss Judit...things all a flutter here today with house cleaning, carpet cleaning...yada yada...her mom getting in tonite around 8ish. She is very excited since she has not seen her mom since she started the aupair program last year.

Guess what I got fer my birthday????????...wait for it....WAIT FOR IT!!!!

PMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Spent nearly the whole day of my birthday either in tears, or about to be bursting in tears...massive, massive OD of hormones, and hormonal fluctuations!!!!! I wuz in a funk, pretty much whole day, and felt sad all day long. We went out to eat at Kobe's, which is one of my favorite places to go on me birfday. At the end of the meal, I started getting very hot. I thought I wuz gonna pass out!!! My palms and forehead went all sweaty and stuff and I had to go to the bathroom and throw cold water on myself. Moocho dizzyness. Not sure what that was all about. Then, I was just fine for the rest of the night. Miss Judit got me a big collage of pics of all of us doing stuff and Saralinda doin stuff, but do not have big frame, so must get. It's one of them thar oversized beeg pics like you can blow up at Sams and stuff. Got some candles from Saralinda, and a watch and book from Timzy.

Hey Tenor : I know a little bit about this birthday - Christmas thang too, being cassie is 5 days before Christmas. Why don't you get somethig for hime that is like a movie ticket or since the party is at Chuckies a GC for tokens. That way you help the Mom out in the pocket book and theres nothing to store. Or better yet make a donation to a charity like Heffer.com or the Humane Society in the kids name.. I agree that the no presents just help pay for college thing is way tacky ! US savings bonds are always good too !

I know what the mom was trying to do but she went about it the WRONG way.

Um...the movie ticket idea is splendid. I was thinking to maybe a gift card so that when the mom decides the kids might need something he could go shopping. Or along the heifer idea...buy him a star. It's a boy right? You could put something snotty, I mean thoughtful on the card like "Go Class of 2023-aim for the stars" Maybe she would get the point?
