NOOOO!!!! After trying for 6.h hours to get through, I finally do and what happens? I HUNG UP ON MYSELF!!! DD* wanted to hear the disney music so I tried to push the speaker phone button and instead pushed the talk bytton! I could just cry right now!

After numerous calls this morning and no luck at all I finally got through on the 407-WDWDINE line at 10:34am and accidently was connected with a room reservation agent...She kindly transfered me to the dining department and there was no waiting....The CM told me her system was spotty and slow, but bare with her and she would get my ressies! Woo Hoo! Can't believe it, but after 22 mins she got everything for me!

March 31...Chef Mickeys for a party of 6 Dinner
April 1...Whispering Canyon for a party of 6 Dinner
April 2...Le Cellier for a party of 7 Dinner
April 3...Tepan Edo for a party of 7 Dinner
April 4...Crystal Palace for a party of 7 Dinner
April 5...Chefs De France for a party of 5 Dinner
April 6...Whispering Canyon(My husbands fav and he misses the 1st time around) Party of 5 Dinner
April 7...Donalds Breakfast for a party of 5

All times for dinner were in a range from 6 to 620pm and breakfast was 8am...Couldnt ask for anything better!

Got through to DVC MS on the first try about 12:30 (eastern). On hold for about 15 minutes only to be told the system is down and they don't know when it will be back up. I am thinking I will wait until tomorrow and try online again. I only have 2 ADRs I want to make and they are pretty flexible. Have fun all.

I started trying at 5:30 this morning. I tried online until I had to leave for work a little after 7am. I tried by phone during my planning period. Finally, after lunch, I tried again and actually GOT THROUGH! I was on hold for 25 minutes before I talked to a person. The CM I talked to was super nice. She was so helpful and was able to snag a Le Cellier dinner for me on my arrival night, which is just what I wanted. But before she got it finalized, their system froze. She tried to log back in, but couldn't. So I still ended up with nothing.

Now I'm home from work, trying to get through by phone. No luck.

Haha this is all so frustrating... I got through once and their system was down, and I am stalking the online reservation system too.

I think I'll be able to hum the tones that make up 407-WDW-DINE for the rest of my life.

What a long morning! I am headed for a nap, LOL! I got up at 2:30 to try the system for 3:00- no luck. Got back up at 5:30 to try for 6 am. Spent from 6-7 am just getting weird error messages online. Started trying the phones at 7:00. Sent dh with the info to our office (we own a preschool) so he could try calling from there as well. At 10:30 dh IM's me that he got through and is on hold with a wait time of 25 minutes. I throw on my clothes and race over there like a NUT

Finally at 10:45 I get a CM I make 5 adr's with her get those confirmation numbers and then we get disconnected Luckily I made sure I did the adr's in order of popularity and importance to us! I immediately start trying the phones again and I get through about 20 minutes later and finish all my Adr's.

Most things are at the exact time I wanted or within 15-20 minutes. Only one adr (T-Rex) was an hpur later than I wanted. I am THRILLED

I am sorry that happened, but I have to admit I did laugh outloud a little. I hung up on the pixy dust this morning thinking it was another busy signal so I know how you feel.

Just got on hold and the person tells me to call back in 30 minutes because the system is down.

Online ADR's are booked off of the exact same system as the telephone ADR's. If one is down, the other is down. Disney had to do that at some point....and they knew this would happen, yes. Just like any other company that implements a new offer or changes an existing offer. Yes people are being inconvenienced. If it bothers you so much, why don't you wait 2 weeks for the crowds calling in to die down. And yes, at this point Disney has no control.....it is like a land slide. All they can do is make the ADR's as the system will allow them to until their tech support is able to resolve the issue.

In fact they are on the same system but one pulls from the other...the website (portal) pulls from the back-end systems which is what Disney uses to make our reservations over the phone...Many times, the website/portal might be down as is currently the case while the back-end functions continue to work. In this case, the ADR website is down but they are still continuing to make ressies over the phone going in through their back-end functions...YOU really should know what your talking about before you start attacking people...I think the Dis World will be a happy place tomorrow once everyone gets some sleep...

Also, the CM I used this morning to make my last 2 Ressies (I was able to book all of my other ones on Sunday..Thank God) confirmed that website was still down but since they were accessing a different part of the system they were still able to make them...only time they were having issues is when tech had to take down the entire system in an effort to get the website/portal issue rectified...

I've been calling Disney Dining since 7am. Got through at 12:15, then, after holding for 20 minutes, was told the system was down and to call back in 15 minutes.

Around 1:15 I thought I would try DVC Member Services. Just got off the phone with them and was told system is down and to call back in a couple of hours.

Bummer.

Got them all!!! I had the nicest CM. She was super stressed, I could tell, so I tried to make sure I was upbeat and positive. I thanked her lots of times and reminded her that everyone is just excited. (Ahem, please be nice to your CMs!! They've been working long and hard today!)

I wanted Yak and Yeti on the 4th for lunch and Teppan Edo on the 6th for lunch but neither were avaiable. I'm not complaining!! I'll take Le Cellier! I didn't even request it because I never thought it would be an option. Good deal.

BEST of luck to everyone still trying! You will get through and you will get it taken care of. Be patient. That's easier said than done, I know. It took me almost 6.5 hours to get through and get it done, but I did and you will too. Maybe not today, but eventually. Have backups and be easy going!

What other choice do I have if I want to get reservations for my trip?

ADR's are not mandatory for a Disney vacation.
Not 1 is needed to eat a meal there.
You choose to make them.
You choose to wait through the crowd on the phone and online.

Personally I find it nice to go without ADR's a few days and just see where I feel like eating that day....yes you can walk up and get seated.
We got Crystal palace on a 5 minutes wait one time.
You ask what other choices you have? that's you choice.
Wait, or go without. You still can have a magical vacation without them.
Go have fun enjoy your trip.

If you book Hoop De Doo without a resort reservation, do you have to pay for everyone up front I plan to get the Deluxe DP later on.

(I got into the Disney College Program and I am going to book my trip when I get down there in Jan so that's why I don't have ressies yet)

I was able to book my friends ADRs for her March trip.
Called about 15-20 times, then held for about 15 minutes when I was connected with Felix - a great CM who went the extra mile and spread some pixie dust today!
