Here's the thing. I'm usually a pretty patient and understanding person. I realize it's not the CMs fault that people have been on hold of hours, had hours of busy signals and lost numerous attempts at the online system. I'm not really one to get upset by having to wait a while for something. I'm usually pretty go with the flow. But what I don't like is that I am getting put off by people who's vacation is MONTHS after mine. They absolutely should have rolled it out: 100 days or less today, 120 or less Thursday, 140 or less Saturday, 160 or less next Monday and then finally 180 or less on Wednesday. Take a week to get it under control. Frustrating!!

Got through to a CM "please call back in 1 hour"

I'm going to give up for now. I'll periodically check the website.

Right now I am going to write an email. I suggest we all do that because Disney "appreciates our feedback" and honestly, this entire situation is unacceptable

It's global according to the CM I was online with for an hour and a half (no ressies to show for it, they got lost when they were in the cart and the system crashed). Here and there, a CM is able to make some that go through but it's really hit and miss. They are being told that it is expected to continue through today and possibly tomorrow. (She read the message she was getting to me). It sounds like their tech people are working like mad and able to get some things to work sporadically but then it crashes again.

If the system ends up down until tomorrow I think we should all write letters to WDW Guest Services. They should have been better prepared for this! Or they should have staged the 180 window. As in Oct 27th is for reservations up to _______, Nov 27th for reservations up to _______, and so on.

I have been disconnected 5 times, on hold 7 times and bumped off the online system at least a dozen times. Not good customer service.

I agree. I was very skeptical when I found out that they were going to roll it all out on one day. I suppose the decision-makers at Disney should have been skeptics also; it might have made them better prepared for the onslaught.

I will cancel our trip completely if we cannot eat where we want to eat because of this. We can always bank points and schedule a trip for later in the year or even 2011.

I just threw the phone down and sighed.

I used to have fun and looked forward to making reservations because it got me excited for the trip....but lately its more of a chore. Im shaking my head and questioning my DVC membership....this is not good....

HOW is it that some people report getting thru & getting "everything I wanted" and the rest of us are told the system is still down???:confused3 I am just not following this AT ALL.

I'm SO glad I decided to give up and just sleep until the kids woke me.. at least I got 5 hours of sleep last night combined LOL seems it wouldn't have done me much good to stay up!

I hear ya! doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out this one - now wonder so many of the rides were breaking on our last trip 4 weeks ago, seriously :confused3

ask DH this a.m. if they really can blame what they claim is low attendance on the bad economy when costomer service has gotten the big FLUSH! :woohoo:

good luck to all :wizard: sending you (and keeping some for myself ;) ) pixie dust!

It sounds so simple that there almost had to be a good reason they DIDN'T do it. Right? Please?

P.S. To those of you who get through, you may want to consider the frustration of the rest of us and, thus, reconsider posting your success stories of the day. I am especially talking to those of you who got through on the first try. Is it petty that I am jealous? Yes, but I'm not alone.

My wife got through at 0835. She was on hold until 0900. We only booked 5 reservations, but it took nearly 25 minutes. The computers on their end are really slow right now. Fortunately, we were able to get the ones we wanted. Included are LeCellier, Chef Mickey's and Mama Melrose. This is for February vacation.

Finally got through on phone after trying since 3:00 AM :cool1: but the message said 30 minute wait :confused3 hope it is not so. I have only an hour before I have to leave

I finally got through about 9:00am this morning on the phone, and was able to get everything we wanted except was told CRT was not loaded and would have to call back for that. Did anyone get it this morning??? Any idea when to call???
THanks

Got through about 9:10 AM and was able to get everything I wanted for our trip back home to the BLT this February.

California Grill
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic!)
Chef Mickey's
Citricos
Yak and Yetti
and LeCellier

Could not be happier.

I've been trying online, MS and Disney Dining for a while now. I got through, somewhat online, but it didn't let me complete my reservation. I was able to get through to MS at 9am, and they told me that the system is down and they don't know when it'll be up. I finally got through to Disney Dining, on hold for 16 minutes and was told immediately that the system is down and they don't know when it'll be up.

:sad2::sad2::mad::mad::guilty::guilty::sad1::sad1:

After 3 1/2 hours of busy signals, I am on hold for so called 25 minutes. Once I get thru are they going to say system is down.

To make it worst, I was redialing on land and cell phone line. Of course, it is my land line that is on hold ughh.

Got through after 30 minute wait and system was up - got everything we wanted. CM told me that system had been down but that they were able to "open a new link" which got her back in. Hang in there ---

Good luck to you all.

Lauren

I truly don't understand how some people have been on hold 2 or 3 times and I have yet to get put on hold ONCE in 3 hours. I'm about to cry!!:sad2:
