Kim1,

on the move from late to early, we had over 40 people moved from late to early at about the three month out mark this year. If there is a large enough group it can happen. Actually anyone in our group who wanted early, even after DCL closed it, was moved (if they had been paid in full) to early as they were linked with the rest of the group. And we were able to chose our rotation as well! it looks like PLA is the best one this time and sit early dinning at 5:45, what do you all think? This would put us in Lumiere's for Formal night and AP for Semi-formal night, and Parrot Cay for Pirate Night. Sounds great, eh?

pj

I know people who know people, ;)

This sounds very interesting. If the rotation began PLA, would it be: PLAPLAP? Is that how it repeats/cycles? Also, which events (formal, semi-formal, Captain's Gala) are which night? We've never been on a 7-night. Do they change the event schedule because of Halloween?

I like that you know people who know people!! This does sound like a great rotation, especially Lumiere's for formal night!:goodvibes

Sean, yes that is the schedule for dinning rooms. Formal is second night, Semi-Formal (Captain's Gala) is on the second last night. Then Pirate Night is on the fourth night.

Eastern Caribbean:

Saturday
Casual
Rotation

Sunday
Formal
Rotation

Monday
Casual
Rotation

Tuesday
Pirate Theme

Wednesday
Casual
Master Chef

Thursday
Semi-Formal
Captain's Gala

Friday
Casual
Till We Meet Again

I will have to check on the whole Halloween thing, I know that it does not change the dinning rotation, but with the pirate deck party it might, but I think all the Halloween events happen early in the evening.

I am looking to miss either the rotation night in AP or PC to attend Palo. We skipped AP this cruise and it was fine with me and then in PC, I would have had just salmon with green beans for dinner, if I had not become sea sick.

Pj

Hope you all had a good New Years. You are all full of good information. We are a group of 13 we are all linked together. Can we still be on the same early diner rotation with everyone?:thumbsup2

Babs, we have over 100 people linked in early seating my last cruise, lol. We had some families that were your size, others that were smaller and then just me, a solo.

Each dinning station is made up of a 4 top, a 6 top and an 8 top, for a total of 18 people per serving station. I could see your group at a combined 4/6 tops for a table of 9.

We only have one solo in our group so far, lol. Ronnie (rer1972)

Pj

To Everyone, if you are interested in linking (we have lots of time to figure it out,) it would be interesting to know if you wanted a small table (ie two couples at a 4 top,) or a larger group (3 couples, or two families.)

As the new year begins, I am going to look into the linked dinning plan. I have a person who organized our group of 210 on my last cruise and it worked out that early seating had the latest early slot and we were seated at the tables along the far right of the dinning room, worked out really well. We have lots of time, final numbers have to be handed into the Dinning Manager one month before cruise time.

So if people would like to PM me with which seating you are assigned (or your current assignment and wish for a switch), your cabin, first names of each person in your party with ages, and if you are interested in linking dinning with the group.

This does not mean you will be at the same table as everyone else in your seating, but it will let us be seated near each other and group families in desired tables. We also may be able to request a particular rotation for late and/or early dinning groups.

Also please think about participating in the DIS T&T trail, should take about 45 minutes on the night of Halloween. We could also do it as a treat drop at each room that day or over the whole week (we did a goodie drop over the week of my last cruise, very fun to see what was left each day!)

Also do we want an offsite web page to co-ordinate activities, dinning etc?

Pj

I am not your leader, I just have access to a leader (aka empress of the green people, she has a button) who will lead me, lol :rotfl2:

I just love the last sentence PJ it makes me wonder if we've joined the "MOONIES" or some other loon tune cult.....:rotfl2:

Right, this pirate night Ive been asked to ask "Do we have to dress as a pirate or can we dress in something associated to a pirate theme?"..and there's more, how many people bother to "DRESS" for pirates night?....questions,questions and we've only got 280 days left to ask them....

ps...on a downer of a day we got are "paid in full" letter from mickey to cheer us up:banana:

To dress for "pirate" night may one wear something geeky with CDs attached to the outfit and go as a "software pirate"?

Question from a DoM -- PJ - would your mom and Babs be considered solo or are they attached?

My mom is a solo, except that she is sailing with me, lol. I will leave Babs to answer for herself, as she was the last to post when I read this and I have not read her post, I look forward to it...:upsidedow

I'm BACK! Happy New Year everyone! I had a great time. Snowed on us on New Years Eve, but didn't stick b/c of the wet ground. Thank goodness!
PJ, sign Ethan and I up to eat with y'all. I'm always up for some good company at dinner. We already have early seating.
I'm exhausted so I'm going to bed early tonight. I have one more night without my son so I'm going to enjoy it by going to bed early!pirate:

I'm still on the lookout for a banana-man! Bwaaaahaaaa! Be very afraid of what I might find!pirate:

Some from Pirate night, others were subtle pirates, lol.
