October 27, 2007 - Cruising around the Moon - A Magical All Hallows Eve

K, I think you said that Noah was a bit younger than O will be when she hits the cruise. She is fairly independant so I am sure she would have fun as well.
So if I opt for the late sitting would people be older and annoyed if my girls are there? Ugg I am so confused about the clubs..How do I figure out what time they should be in the club. Are there hour restrictions or do they do the same program all over again.

Noah was 6.5 on our cruise. He'll be 8 on this one. I have late dining as a choice right now... because I don't want to be rushed back from excursions. My dining partners were HORRID (my only complaint) because they were a married couple, traveling with NO kids and requested table partners with NO kids. Well, guess what? Noah did go to dinner with me on Pirate Night. Ya know what... HE WAS ON HIS WORST behaviour!! I think he could smell the disdain from the couple. They were totally unfriendly and I actually skipped the next night and ate by myself, even though Noah wasn't with me. They were flat out RUDE! Now, I understand they had a request, but they should have asked to be moved. Ok, vent over!

The travel thing is confusing the heck out of me. We really don't know what to do. We are flying out of canada (I already said that) and flights right now are impossible. I think that it might be better to opt out of the ground transfers and maybe rent a vehicle? Sigh.....how hard is it to drive around... We are from fairly small town, so I am thinking that I should perhaps marry D before we go down there or the directions and me playing a direction giver might cause a divorce before we even get married!

Highly support the marriage first before embarking on a car trip. What about renting a car to get to the states and taking a plane from there?

I really don't think that we will have the money to do Disneyworld (ahem, my dear, I fixed your typo!!!) in the three days before the cruise. Will we need to pay for a day at the MK so that we can go to the MNSSHP?

If you aren't going to the park before MNSSHP starts, you don't need a ticket - but I had read somewhere else that you did. I'll check it out and report back.

Where are people staying for the nights before and what kind of rates are you getting? Is it best to book now? Or should I wait? We are hoping to fly out of here on Monday or Tuesday. We might have to drive across the border but then what.....get stuck flying out of small town North Dakota. And driving .... I can't fathom how much and how long that would take... I am in a panic...

First, remember the breathing techniques they taught you prior to giving birth? Practice them... planning is 1/2 of the fun if you don't get too stressed about it. KNOWING that nothing is going to go 100% as planned is important. We are staying at POFQ and for 3 people, 2 nights with tickets and dining... it's about $900. Do not PANIC!! We are here to help!

Thank you for answering so quickly. I am still not sure what dining I want. DH and I would probably chose late if by ourselves, but I wonder if seeing the shows earlier will prevent us from enjoying other activities. Or would seeing the shows late cause more of the problem...What's a gal to do. Hmmmm.....................

I think I will look into us doing MNSSHP. We were going to head up and spend the night anyway. I wonder can you leave your car at a DIS resort while on a DIS cruise to save the port parking charges??

Halfway through cleaning I realized that they are just going to make it all dusty tomorrow! Oh well, I got in a good workout anyway. I'm just now finished!

For Ethan and I to stay at POFQ for 2 nights with tickets just to MK, minus the MNSSHP tickets will be around $500. It's about $120 more than staying at All Stars. I'll take $120 for peace of mind anyday. Good Grief! That sounds like an Algebra problem!

Oh, did I mention that when I went in the casino I put in $10 in the quarter slots. I played the maximum coins (3) and was winning about $3 at a time. I was going to quit when my 10 ran out. Well, I had been there maybe 10 minutes when I won $75! Yes, I took the money and left! I deposited it in our vacation account today so that's over half of the difference b/t All Stars and POFQ!

I also won a spa night for Thursday night on the radio this morning. It's going to be about 50 gals at a local spa with the morning radio hosts there in tuxes catering to us! How fun does that sound?

Do you see a pattern here? They say that things come in three's, well, in the medical profession we say that. Guess what the third one is going to be? Do you give up? I'm going to win the POWERBALL!!!!!!!!!!!! It's up to $240 MILLION! And when I do win it, I'm going to do

Funny thing is that next to me was one of those "serious" slot players. She had her points card around her neck, cigarettes and cane next to her. I just giggled and walked off. I could see her staring a hole through me as I walked away. She probably thought I was an idiot for leaving with such a small amount! Hey, it's more than what I came in with! And we all know the pirate motto, "take what you can and leave nothing behind" or something like that.

Ahh, how sweet. I love the teak chairs on deck 4, although i spend most of my time on them feeling ill form the seas. I hear that the wonder has them at the Quiet Cove pool now.
