Can y'all stand one more pic? This is also at the zoo in New Orleans. I love this pic b/c they were communicating through that glass for about 20 minutes and this pic pretty much captures it all.

It's funny when the German TV stations are here, along with many many international stations.

Please don't tell me why! I can't stand to hear of anything bad happening to animals. Makes my heart hurt. Now people, meh, I'm pretty numb to them being hurt/dying. Doesn't affect me much unless it's someone I care about. Guess it's from being a nurse for so long. You have to learn how to seperate yourself from it or there'd be no medical professionals at all!

Good Golly Miss Molly at the snow! I honestly hope the other seasons rock b/c nothing in the world short of a FEW HUNDRED million dollars would make me stay there!:lmao:

I have A Golden Retrever Her name Is Rosie. I wish I could post pictures but I dont know how to.:flower3:

Good morning everyone :sunny:

I was watching the today show and Fulton in Oswego county was on the show. They said near the end of the segment that we are suppose to get 3-4 feet more next week . WHAT, how do they know this, our local stations have not even predicted this yet. Schools are on that 2 hour delay thing AGAIN so I'm sure we will be closed.

I think it is picture day for me too. Just a little something to cheer me up :) Plus I am completely and utterly bored. I am so greatful Barry is coming home today so I will have more then these 4 walls and the girls to talk to. I am hoping we can at least play some cards with our friends tonight, I may even pull out the Jack or Vodka , a fruity tutti drink would be perfect but I have nothing to make it.

If I recall correctly, upstate NY (most of the land mass, but not many of the people) does have 4 seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Road Construction. :cool1:
:groom:

Cutie patootie's Paula. I especially love the one of Ethan & the big old lizard thing.

I am sooooooo glad it's Friday. Lynchburg Lemonades anyone?????

Christine :bride: just called from work: Her 2007 vacations have been approved! After a long, busy day at work (and with 0600 weekend shifts the next 2 days), I needed something like that.
:woohoo: :yay:  :grouphug:

Now, on to the next planning phase: Hotel 10/26 and transfers. Followed by shore excursion planning. :boat:

259 days to go and I'm counting every single one of them!!!! :woohoo: I think this has been one of the most stressful weeks ever. With the merger announcement and my Dad's surgery - I am exhausted!! :crazy2:

Thanks to everyone listening to me vent!

Noah has a buddy over tonight. His Dad works for Radio Disney and tomorrow they are going to the Premier of "Bridge to Terabithia"!! :woohoo: How cool is that? :cool1:

Oh my... you had to mention LAVA cake... do you have Applebee's in your town? Our's has just introduced a chocolate molten cake with ice cream that is to DIE for!!! :cloud9:

My Dad is doing very well. He is 81 and a very "outdoor" type. He spent many, many summers in the garden. He always had beautiful flower gardens and yummy vegetable gardens. My childhood home was sitting on 1 acre of land and there wasn't much mowing to do because of his gardens. Anyway, too much sun and he's now got skin cancer. They took a tumor off of his ear and the biggest one was on top of his head.

He called me on Sunday and said ... "The Doctor wants to know where I have some skin that hasn't been exposed to the sun to put on my head. He wants to take it from my butt! I won't let him because you guys will call me a butt head!" :lmao: Gotta love it. They ended up taking skin from the back of his neck. :thumbsup2

I'm very blessed that he's as healthy as he is. 81 and no daily meds needed. Just this silly skin cancer that they believe is truly on the surface and not invasive. Amen.

Kimmi . We do have an Applebees :worship: Thank you , Thank you  :rotfl2: I am definetely going to have to get some.
I'm so glad to hear your Dad is doing fine, it's a scary thing. My Dad sounds ALOT like yours. We walks evey single day for miles. He had gardens when we grew up also and is a not stop worker even to this day , he just can't sit. He comes comes out to help here all the time to mow our 3 acreas, gives him something to do I think. He had a pace maker put in a year ago due to some heart problems. I'm sure you guys will just LOVE him when you met him onboard.

It seems skin cancer is running rampid with many people I know. I lost my cousin at 21 due to it. Recently a few others. You would think I should have learned my lesson but I believe I am in it so much in the Summer because we typically have 5 months without it.

Hope you guys all have a wonderful weekend. :)

The SUN is out today! WOOOHOOOOOO! It's supposed to hit 50! I never thought 50 would sound so good! I'm making honey butter biscuites (canned if you must know) and then dragging my son outside for the day. We were supposed to go to my hometown about 70 miles south of here to plant trees with his boy scout troop but can't go b/c of his pneumonia. Sucks b/c that town, Hattiesburg, lost a TON of trees to Katrina. I was looking forward to going and eating some food that you can only get there. Oh well, maybe next time.

Kim, I'm so glad your dad is doing good! Too bad he can't go on the cruise with us! Maria's dad and he could hang out and talk about gardening!

About skin cancer. I worked in Radiology before I went back to the ER. We would diagnose people with skin cancer and I'm here to tell you that it's NOT all from the sun. Sure, the sun may exacerbate some but I'm not so sure it's the total cause like the media and some doctors think. I've seen a melanoma, the deadly kind, on the inside folds of a black lady's ******. Now you tell me when the last time that saw the sun. I've also seen it between someone's toes. I'm not saying to go fry in the sun, I'm just stating my opinion. Have y'all seen the sporadic news reports about ppl not getting enoug Vit D since the craze about sunscreen started? I've also seen a report where they now think that some of the ingredients in sunscreen may cause cancer. If you think about it, anything can cause cancer! I'll still get in the tanning bed a few times before my vacation, and I'll still lay out on the beach. I wear more protection than I used to b/c I don't want too many wrinkles. That may be stupid, but I don't want to miss out on LIFE trying not to get something I may or may not get anyway. Does that make sense? OK, off my soapbox now!

Sheesh, I didn't mean to go on a rampage!Well, the biscuits are beeping! I'll check in later! Y'all have a good day!
