Hello. :flower3:

In planning my packing, I'm also trying to maximize the items I can re-wear. DW is trying to plan on some recycling, also. We'll try to separate the re-do's by several days. I saw a thread where someone discussed how inexpensive and efficient the DCL laundry service is (but, you have to pay for it). :laundy:

I love the DCL specific packing list. Thank you for posting it.

I'm wondering about shoes: workout, dress, everyday, sandals, outdoor-style (kayaking shoes). This could add much weight, and take up space.

Despite what the list suggested, I think on embarkation day, we'll head straight for food, then to the Spa, then to our room. We brought a wheeled carry-on with us last time, and 1-2 soft sided bags. It did make moving around harder, but we had our DCL glasses on, and didn't mind. :3dglasses

And now, for some too cute plans: since 3 weeks from tonight is AKL, I plan to cue the AK soundtrack as :bride: opens the door coming home from work, tomorrow will be the DCL music CD. I've been taping notes inside DW's lunch cooler that are "from the animals at AKL". Every so often, another animal "signs" the note welcoming her back. When I got home from work today, I found one for me from a Bongo. :cloud9:

Enough random musings, time to review those cruise documents!
:groom:

First of all can we all say chatty chatty chatty :lmao: Second of all, ya'll stop this freaking out cause you are making me freak out too!!!!!!:scared:

Clothing: Pack underwear and socks in ziplocs to avoid TSA from getting their hands all over your delicatesPam that list was priceless............I can't believe someone took the time to type all that up. The above was my FAVORITE item.

Good Morning Moonies! I'm starting to have a little freak out session about this cruise. I know y'all can help me get through it by answering some questions. Here it goes:

1. So you can bring beer and a bottle of rum (heh) as long as it's not on ice and in a suitcase?

2. Coke, well the sodas, are free, right? That will be awesome with my RRRRRUM!pirate:

3. Y'all won't make fun of us if you notice we have on the SAME pair of pants twice (maybe 3 times)? I plan on doing all the dining rooms once, but after that I may just order room service or do a buffet one night.
Planning on recycling some stuff here too!!!!!

4. I will be able to find a pirate costume for both E and I. He has his Annikan one, but I have to sneak and get a pirate one for him.

5. I'll be able to get y'all in the disco one night for some dancing and drinking. I'm not talking about a frat party drinking session, just some drinking with good friends and a turn on the dance floor.:woohoo: :dance3:

Sister, we are so on for dancing & drinking...especially on 80's night. I can't wait. Are we still doing karaoke???? I have never done it before, but I am sure you can help me get up the nerve. Where is karaoke by the way & I want to do the adult version not the family one because I don't want kids laughing at me :rotfl:
6. I think that's about all for now. I'm sure I'll have another session as the date gets closer!

Thanks for listening to my freak out session! Have a fantastic day!pirate:

WARNING ABOUT DOG TREATS AND SNORKELING!

The first time we went snorkeling it was on Coki Beach on St Thomas. The guys renting the snorkel gear would give you a dog biscuit to feed the fish. Well, these fish are accustomed to eating the treats so they would wait for you to come to them and hold it out. Very cool when you do it right. This one man (idiot) decided he didn't want to feed the fish so he put the dog biscuit in the waist band of his pants (yes, you know what's about to happen). The fish swarmed him, pecked at his pants, sucked on his big ole belly and darted towards that treat. Now, y'all know me pretty well by now. I almost drowned b/c I started laughing at the show I was watching. The poor man (idiot) didn't realize why the fish were "attacking" him and was trying to swim away with the treat still in his pants.:rotfl: Some lady finally came over, grabbed the treat and let it fall to the sand. Of course the fish followed and he was freed from the onslaught of hungry fish. I was full of salt water by then and had to go back to shallow water so I could clear my lungs and start over again:lmao: . And that, my friends, is the only time I've taken anything to eat with me in the ocean/sea/lake/body of water not a swimming pool. If they only had underwater cameras back then!:rotfl2:
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Paula that is some story.

I so understand the CRAZINESS!! it works both ways LOL, we had My Husbands annual truck show in Daytona last weekend, a dear friends wedding this weekend, his high school reunion the weekend after that, a dinner/conference the weekend after that and then WE CRUISE...Heaven help me get through all this in one piece LOL!!
We'll miss you at MNSSHP, but can't wait to see you at port. Look for Taylor in her lime green shirt, I ripped the ends and beaded it and also used glitter to sparkle up the images, you should be able to spot her VERY Easily:goodvibes :dance3: :dance3:

pixiedust: for you Pam to help you get through all of that before the cruise.
:lmao:

YEAH thats me!!!!!!!
But i do this for all of our vacations............
Just cant help myself............

Maybe just for laughs when i figure out how i will post my clothing itenerary!:lmao:
Please do Lynn, I can't wait to see it. :teeth:

Sean...........I love your cute plans. You are a thoughtful husband. I can't believe you already got your documents. I will be watching my mail even closer now.

CAN WE GO YET??????????

Hi! We're a family of 4 new to the cruise as of last week. I saw that there is a separate trick or treat and scavenger hunt - it says to sign up under pjs signature under cruise discussions.. I don't get it - can't find it. Where do I sign the boys up and I'd be happy to volunteer to help - Thanks! Kris

:welcome: aboard. Can you tell we are a fun group yet?????? :cool1:

The arrival of the documents surprised us too. Neither of us could recall anybody on the thread stating that they got theirs. I just happened to go out for the mail, and the white UPS envelope looked like it was unceremonially dropped on the front porch.

Working extra tomorrow, to help pay for the excursions, drinks, and souvenirs.

So they come in a white UPS envelope? Interesting. How in the world am I going to hide that from Ethan? (thinking, thinking, thinking.......)

I just made a spreadsheet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: All of ya'll's packing freakin' out has got me in a freak out of my own...trying to figure out when/what we are doing.

If I knew how to post it I would..............

Mom, pulled out her suitcase, found my white WDW gilligan hat and a stinky WDW rain poncho, lol. boy does that plastic stink after two years in a zipped suitcase.

I have to finish clearing our my old suitcase and packing my new luggage. DM and I leave in 13 days, right about now I will be trying to sleep in an airport hotel bouncing in anticipation of the next mornings flight.

I knew you would have one Lynn. :thumbsup2

I have had a few too many cocktails tonight so I will try to keep my posting to a minimum.

But it appears that Lynn has fallen down on her job tonight...........

So here's to the Wishers..............

Here's to the Dreamers..................:cloud9:

And here's to the diser's that have had to many cocktails tonight :drinking1

Yes, about 8.5 x 11 size. Had my name on it. I think the return address was the only place it hinted at DCL. The type was small. The name didn't really jump out to me at first. I knew from it that it was Disney, but I started to wonder if it was something to do with Year of a Million Dreams. With it being so flat, perhaps you could say its a DVD?

Wow, just 7 more days until the gathering begins. Perhaps one last posting count before departure?

Sean

Good Morning Moonies!!!!!!

3 weeks from today we'll all be up and giddy with anticipation! I CAN'T WAIT!!! but I guess I'll have to. hahaha:lmao:

We're going to the Mississippi State homecoming game today. Playing UAB. Hopefully we'll win, but we've lost to them before.
