Something tells me they won't be showing Rocky Horror on the ship. And if they did, I certainly don't see them handing out toast, etc., to people as they enter the Walt Disney Theater.

I think you're right about that. A theater near us shows it each New Years starting after midnight. They request "dry" props only.

Sean

Good Morning Moonies! Today is the day most of us in the south have been waiting on since January. The beginning of college football season. I know, I know, if you're not from the south, you probably don't care too much about it. Have you ever seen the movie Friday Night Lights? One of Ethan's football coaches lived in Odessa, TX and is serious about teaching the 7-8 year olds how to play football. We are going to the Mississippi State vs LSU game tonight. It's going to be on ESPN so watch it if you get the chance. We (MSU) are going to lose big time, but hey, it's time for some football!

Anyway, back to cruise speak, I tried to make sure I put Ethan on the TOT page and it wouldn't come up.

Has anyone else been looking at their ressies online to see if they've been upgraded? I don't know why, but I look about every 2 days just in case. I think I have been ruined with a balcony room. It really was nice to be able to just go sit outside and get away from all the people. Next cruise I'm going to try to book one of the aft balconies.

Well, y'all have a great day and I'll check in tomorrow!pirate:

Good morning all. :bride: and I have a 5 day weekend off together.

Sean

Hmm, that would be nice. But I certainly wouldn't be up already if that was the case. We're actully flying* to Pittsburgh for the weekend. DH's grandma's 80th and they're having some big reunion type party.

* flying because I HATE the 7 hour drive and I found flights that cost not much more than the cost of driving so DH conceded the point.

On another note, we just got neighbors. We live on a brand new street in a brand new townhouse building. Previously, in our buildling of 4 there were only one end and one middle unit occupied. As of yesterday, we are now full (and there's another buildling of 6 units that's going to be occupied soon).

I'd like to bring something to the new neighbors as a way of welcoming them. :flower3: Any bright ideas?

I left a welcome packet for the woman who bought our condo because she was new to the area. It had a map of the area that I marked with stores and stuff, menus and list of things one might need like a good mechanic, jeweler, etc. I would do that again but I think these people are from around here.

Well, y'al
trying not too
last time we got our stateroom at month out

Good luck with the football :wizard:

I usually get up around 0530 for work, and my body sometimes seems to forget that I'm off here and there. On mutual days off, we usually sleep in to 0600-0630. I've had several co-workers comment that they see me coming home from the gym (on days I'm off or evening shift) as they're driving to work for day shift. Most wonder how I can be so awake first thing in the morning without coffee.
Much to DW's dismay, even when we're off, there are many things to get done. I'm usually planning out the day, trying to get as much done as possible. But, of course, I make time for the DIS :surfweb:

:groom:

Hi,

I would love to do the WDW halloween party but we fly in on 10/26 in the afternoon (my son has 1/2 day of school). We plan on renting a car and driving to Port Canaveral. We are staying at Country Inn & Suites.

I want to pick up some things down at the store there (case of water, etc) to take on the ship. I don't feel like paying $35 for a case of Evian!

Have a great day! :cool2:

Idea for new neighbors - I like the map idea for those new to the area. We also put together those mason jars w/ all the ingredients to make 1) cookies or 2) hot cocoa or 3) brownies. Of course this does not include perishables like butter or eggs. You can wrap a cute little ribbon around it and include a recipe card and "welcome card"...these are also nice for x-mas time. :coffee:

Linda, I probably will bring both. I am taking my mom on a cruise in two weeks, so I will get a feel for both dresses - I don't really have an excuse to wear them at home.

the reason for the impromptu cruise before the cruise - my darling (42 year old) brother is driving her crazy what with all his antics...so I made mom get a complete physcial (she had a heart attack about 8 years ago and subsequently lost 70 lbs --- yay mom). She began having angina trouble recently which prompted me to take things into my own hands aka bribing mom with a cruise to get checked out. We are doing a 5 day royal caribbean and I have NO idea what to expect.

What a wonderful daughter you are! Sounds like we have a lot in common. One of my brothers drives my mom crazy too. I hope you both have a great time on your RC cruise! :dance3:

I was hoping to get by with one large rolling duffle bag and 2 carry-ons but with all the costumes, dress clothes, snorkel gear, etc..I'm thinking I'll need two large suitcases.

thank you! we hope to...any of ya'll ever cruised RC before?

I have only been a disney cruiser...I heard the pools on RC ships were salt water...

We're going to Key West, Coco Cay, and Cozumel...

at 200 bucks a person, it wasn't too bad of a deal - especially not for mom's health and sanity.

Jackie who do you book with or do you do it all yourself?...
Chris I have booked it myself flights with Delta , first time using our DVC points for WDW and booked through dreamss unlimited for the cruise
My brother has done the booking for NY
stopped using travel agents over here years ago

how about your self

what a great price
enjoy and we will be looking forward to hearing all about it
and it will be nice for you and your Mum to spend some time together

chris could we have a thread count please

so I was thinking about what I am bringing with us for mixers

so what would you mix with the free drinks available
I believe there is Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Gingerale
and does anyone know if there is Lemonade at the drink station?

I got addicted to Vanilla Vodka with Gingerale at some point, it taste like a cream soda... so I think I am leaning towards that

also does anyone know what juices are available at breakfast is it just Orange and cranberry or do they have a tropical one like Guava or Pineapple too?

Ahh the drink possibilities! Can you tell it has been one of those weeks here.

CHEERS
Trish
