October 27, 2007 - Cruising around the Moon - A Magical All Hallows Eve Part 2

Since I will be going, I need to know who are unattached women at least 50 who would be willing to put up with a widowed man who has not been on a cruise since the USNS General Buckner in 1964.

I was thinking we could set a $ amount & everyone just buy some supplies & bring them from home & then we could do a swap. Number each set of stuff & then draw #'s out of a hat or something. I have never done one, but I think it might be fun. We could even make a page together or something. I don't know....let's throw out ideas & see how many people are interested.

On my cruise last year, we did a "scrapbooking swap". Everybody was to bring a bag with twenty dollars worth of scrapbooking supplies, and then there was a trade. Now, one of the women on the cruise had already organized a private scrapbooking class that she was going to teach, and my girlfriend and I were all psyched up for that, but they changed both the time and the location at the last minute and so we totally missed the class. Big bummer!!! We finally found them, but it was at the very end of the class, and they'd already done the big swap -- but two women took pity on us and traded their goodie bags that they'd already traded for with us for the two goodie bags that we brought!

The good thing about the swap is that, if you don't want to, you don't even have to bring anything on-board since there are Disney themed scrapbooking supplies for sale onboard.

Of course, my friend and I had already brought our stuff on board for the swap. And the twenty bucks could be spent on a bunch of little things, or a couple of bigger things. Doesn't matter!

Anyhow, that's how it worked last year. Since there's no class involved this year -- although if someone wants to teach one I'll be there! -- all of us who want to do a swap could just agree on a meeting place and time on the first or second sea day and figure out how we want to do the trade But count me in!!!

Pam- That sucks for your friend. I know from personal experience. We all know she'll be better one day, but right now it seems like her world has just ended. Will say a prayer for her.

Kim-Have fun on your trip to see your dad! Leave your job behind and focus on him for the week. Take lots of pics of him and Noah!

How do I sign up for the alcohol tasting? Notice I didn't single out one b/c I plan on doing a few!

If you want to order & haven't don't forget to pm me. Also, most people seem to want just the adult sizes since the kids are so much more expensive so I think I will just order the one size. If that changes your order, let me know. I will put up a final count etc the day before the deadline & then people can correct me if I have goofed up.
