October 25, 2014 Fantasy Western "The Not So Scary Halloween Cruise 2014" Part 2

My research indicates the following for our sailing. Someone sailing in June on our itinerary called and confirmed rotations, formal/semi formal nights, and pirate night. I guessed at the show order for nights 2, 3, 4, and 6. Are we still thinking this is all accurate?!? I got my suite and I'm calling in to make requests on dining next week.

I forgot there is a separate "kids" shirt.

This is the one I ordered for Sam (10) in white. Nico (14) I ordered the winning one in black. My 12yo decided to spend the summer in DC with my mom, so I will have to ask her when she gets back.

I would say yes, because Bear is usually right and 2nd night is almost always formal night. (That way we still fit into our dresses;) )

So can we adults order either one? Or do the adults have to order the first one you posted. Or does it depend on the size of the adult. :lmao:
Same question for kids? Can the kids order either?

I would prefer the second one posted fwiw.

Will us non FB disers get info about how to order?

I feel so out of the loop. :headache:

TIA

You can order any of them :) I ordered mine on Vistaprints.com, but the resolution on the "kids" one warned me it might not come out. Let me get all of the ones for you, or the links, or something.

I just got back from DC not too long ago. After the Alaska cruise, my grandmother was very ill and they didn't think she was going to make it. So I am just getting back into all of this. Let me see if I can get the links to all the different shirts. Then just print it out and iron on yourself or order from Vistaprints. I know someone said Vistaprint didn't have what they wanted and there were licensing issues with custom ink.com and such, so I think those are your best options.

Ok so see, this is why I am just as out of it. I already ordered Nico's but this is suppose to be on the back of the winning design.

Nico will have to do without because I missed that, but there is it. So you don't miss out.

Oh. On our past sailings someone took everyone's T-shirt order and mailed them out. Of course I believe those folks will never do that again. I think they are still waiting on some $. Years later. :rotfl2:

I thought all adults were to wear a specific design, and the kids too. :confused3
Didn't realize we could order anyone we like.

Thanks for the info.

I think most people are going to order one of the two I posted, but I don't think it is a requirement. So if you prefer something different, order what speaks to you. I think this group is more do what you like, than some of the other cruises.

At least, that is the vibe I get on FB.

Just got my email from shoreside concierge about my booking window opening this weekend. PIF last week so I'm ready to go. Can't believe we will be under 100 days soon. It is feeling more real now.

Me too! I just switched yesterday from a gty to a category V. Are you going to try for a cabana? I'm undecided. I kind of want one but don't want the price! I'm thinking about seeing if anyone wants to share one with us...so I may book but I may let it go once we get closer if we change our minds. What other requests will you be putting in? I have a dining rotation in mind and want to book palo brunch, dinner and Remy. No excursions and maybe one spa experience...

A question for you experienced DCL cruisers...I'm trying to figure out which night to eat at Palo. I'm thinking pirate night since most people don't care for the menu. We are eating at Remy (hopefully) on our anniversary which falls on Captains Gala/lobster night. I want my daughter to experience AP and I think the menu at RC sounds yummy. So should we do Palo on pirate night or one night with Enchanted Garden?

We are hoping to get a Cabana, but do know another couple on this cruise who is willing to share it. This is one of our main reasons for booking concierge. We are celebrating some family milestones, but mostly because my daughter was scheduled for knee reconstruction this summer and we want the cabana so she didn't have to trudge through sand. CC is her favorite part of Disney cruises so we want to be sure she can enjoy it!

I do have a dining rotation in mind, based on things we liked on previous cruises...but this would be a personal preference only. We have excursions and Palo brunch requests, as well.

Me too! ....

Well that's a loaded question. lol. Will have to sleep on that one. ;)

Regarding the shared Cabanas on CC, they are always a go, and a benefit to others. You need to decide if the group exceeds a predetermined limit beyond 6, because more than six require payment. The cost for all guests regardless of age, outside the initial cost for six, is $50 each.

So a Cabana for four pax cost $550. A Cabana for six cost $550. The cost for the max limit of 10 guests cost $750. If sharing, work all this out aboard. Do not try to call DCL and work this out. They will only screw it up. ;)

You can work the payments aboard however you wish fwiw.
Normally the main reserved name gets billed. But GS is wonderful about splitting stuff up. lol. One family could easily apply $$ to another's account to cover the Cabana cost fwiw. They will work it out aboard. No worries. ;)

If you have a Cabana and are willing to give/sell it to someone else aboard, do it aboard. As mentioned, never say cancel. Say transfer, or modify.

Work out the any details aboard. Never try to offer your Cabana to someone else prior, while the online check-in is still available(75 days out). It will vanish, and you will loose it IMO. Actually don't do it except aboard. :)

It's an easy swap of whatever (literally) needed aboard. The CM's aboard make everything sooo easy.

Hope that makes sense.

Sooooo. The only question left is, how many Cabanas will our "meet" have control of ? :lmao:

HTH

Rant over. Lol.

OK, I see that we have two - four folks booking Cabanas that may be willing to share. :rotfl2:

That's gooood. The question is who do you share with? ? ?

Of course that is determined aboard , when you clique with a family / couple / group.

I have a suspicion our group will have a lot of Cabanas to share. Lol. IMO.

Hi folks! We did our "trial run" 3-day Dream cruise this past weekend, and we loved it! It definitely got us ready for more. Can't wait for October! It rained as we left Port Canaveral, but after that the weather was absolutely perfect. Like a dream...:rolleyes1

We got to try some things out, and decide on some things we liked and didn't like, already, so we can be a little more prepared and have a better idea of what we want to do on our honeymoon. It'll be more relaxing that way.

One thing we weren't expecting was how long the 5K took - we didn't realize it would be well after 9 am by the time the race started! We LOVED our time on the beach on Castaway Cay and we wished we had more time there. We had to go back to the ship after the race to get our beach stuff since we didn't want to run with it, and after all was said and done, we didn't end up back on the beach until after noon. So, we aren't entirely sure anymore that we will be running it in October. We had a great time (even though it was SUPER HOT - October should be cooler than June), and we loved getting out and being active during our cruise.

While onboard, we booked a fall 2015 b2b on the Dream, and we are bringing my little brother along for the first leg (he'll be 10), so we are excited about that! It's nice to have more Disney cruises to look forward to!

I think we would be willing to share with 3-4 others..we have three in our party. And I'm not sure yet if we would split the day so we have it to ourselves for half the time or all share it. The entire time...does it matter either way?
