October 25, 2014 Fantasy Western "The Not So Scary Halloween Cruise 2014" Part 2

I did that in 2012. I was overweight, had just finished a 5K or two, and decided in April to sign up for a marathon. Not sure what I was thinking...

I completed the Walt Disney World marathon in January 2013. With my new boyfriend, whom I had met through running. And this cruise will be our honeymoon cruise (and yes, we plan to run the CC 5K).

If I can do it, anyone can.

That is such an awesome story!! I was able to train some on the wonder. Hopefully I can get a run in on Sunday before disembarking

My fiancé and I decided to hop on a 3-day Dream cruise at a last-minute Florida resident rate next weekend to try it out before our honeymoon. I've cruised once, on the Magic in 2009, and he's never cruised. So this will be so much fun! And hopefully make our honeymoon a bit less overwhelming. :cloud9:

Hi everyone I'm new to DISboards, however not new to disney cruises. We have sailed 6 times previously and have enjoyed sailing on each ship. Although we have sailed in the past we are still learning new and exciting things on each new cruise. We have friends sailing with us this time and this is their first cruise ever, so I'm super excited to be sailing with them. We have a daughter who turns 10 in July. She is always anxious to meet new friends.

Welcome to the group. There a quite a few of us with kids that age :goodvibes

I keep reminding myself that once we get through the summer and get the kids back in school (September) that we only have two months to go! Sad how we try to trick our heads into thinking it's not that far off! I also have a December 2015 cruise booked and I'm not sure how I'll be able to wait for that one! We have several vacations planned for next year- Garner Stare Park in south central Texas, Pensacola Beach over 4th of July and then our December cruise. I'm hoping those vacations help pass the time in between!

What again is the date and time I can start booking palo/Remy/PAT/and excursions? Is it July 27 at midnight (eastern time)?

I've got our two nights at WDW booked at AOA in a Little Mermaid room (my dd will love this!), my MNSSHP tickets for Friday night, my airline tickets, my cruise booked, my lunch reservations in WDW and the plans laid out for our rental car! I just need to get my husbands passport updated and we're good to go!

Let's get the conversation going again! I miss the chatter!

Thanks to Sarah over in the FB group for posting the link to this group. I am there more than I am here at DIS, but love catching up with the group.

This is our first ever cruise of any kind, and I am so excited! :)

I would love to donate something to help with the ToT so I'll read the top to find out who to check in with. :)

I have so many questions about excursions and what would be best for our family, my head is spinning.lol! I'm going to read back and see if there are any suggestions. Will there be a group meet up/beach excursion somewhere? We are leaning toward mostly calm beach excursions vs active excursions so would love a beach meet up! :)

We tried that theory 597 days ago. lol.
But PIF is near now. It comes faster than you think.
At first it is a slow count down. Then suddenly it accelerates ironically. Then suddenly PIF is here ironically.

Not sure of the actual dates, but you are correct. If you are a newbie, your booking window opens 75 days out from sail date. Yes, it is 12:01 am eastern, when you can book stuff.

Me too.

Do you FB?

I can remember the excitement. It's exponential.

I too need to commit to volunteering.

Hi again, sorry that I forgot to mention. Samantha and Stephanie will both be 10 on the cruise. They are both on the "kids/teens" thread for this cruise. They love meeting new kids and your daughter is more than welcome to join in chatting and getting to know them.

Kids link is on the very first post of this thread. :goodvibes

Happy Father's Day to all the dads on this cruise! I hope you know how important you are in the daily lives of your children. :thumbsup2
