Welcome to the group Hektor & hansenherd!!

So here's my next question. Are we planning to do trick-or-treating? I've told the kids that they wouldn't be able to trick-or-treat this year because of how late our flight gets in on the 31st. So they would be really happy if we did trick-or-treating on the cruise! (I'm assuming this is for younger kids? Our teens aren't allowed to trick-or-treat when we're home...) pirate:

I was hoping we could do something like this, not sure if we are...this group has not been very chatty and nothing is really set in stone yet. I'm hoping more people will start popping in so we can get things moving.

Sorry I can't answer many of your FE questions, this will be our first Disney cruise, but here is a huge thread all about them! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1219607

Thanks for the thread link, it is fantastic - lots of pictures and instructions on how to make them, thanks!!

Hey guys!! I updated the list on page 5 for the fish extender list for those who have given me cabin #'s . If you can please look at the list and if you don't see your cabin #, please either add a post here, or PM me with it and I'll add it. We still have losts of participants without cabin #'s.

Hope all is well and can't wait for our cruise!!
HalloWonderer's RULE!!

Hi Mandy!

I still don't have a cabin #. Am holding out for the FL resident discount so I may not have one until about 30 days prior. As soon as I get one, I will post it.

I did get my FE so I am ready to go. Just need to start getting FE gifts now a little at a time, so I don't need to buy all at once. Back to school shopping put a dent in the old budget, so I will start doing my FE shopping next payday!

My daughter just posted on the kids' thread over the weekend. She is excited to see some other kids around her age (7) will be on the cruise. We were talking about the cruise, and she wanted to start packing already. :) I told her it's just a little early for that!

Hello everyone! So now that we are almost there, we should probably get some things set :).

I think we all agreed to meet in the Promenade Lounge prior to the Sail Away Party, right? Did we want to pick a time?

Fish Extenders should be ready to go. I think almost all of us are participating. My vote is to only do it once on the cruise. That way we aren't all running around on the ship every night. We would just need to make sure that we aren't all doing it on the same night :).

I think that Trick or Treating is a great idea, but I think it might be hard to get times when everyone will be around in their rooms to answer the door. Plus with a lot of us having young kids, it might mess with bedtimes and naptimes.

Let me know if there are any other suggestions or if I am forgetting something :).

Jennifer

I think on FE's that it is a personal thing. If you want to do just one day, or if you want to do a little something a few days that everyone should just do what they feel. That's my opinion, but I will do whatever the group decides. I enjoy "sneaking" around the ship delivering little surprises...we delivered a little something each day on our last cruise and plan to do the same way on our Oct 29th cruise. Since it is a surprise, I think delivering spontaniously is the way to do it (again, just an opinion). Let's get a few opinions and decide what everyone wants to do. Like I said previously, we are up for whatever the group decides I was just offering an opinion.

I think leaving it up to each family is a great idea :).

Hey guys! Sorry I've been away for a while, that darn work thing is getting in the way again. I'm really in need of this cruise!

We're 80% sure we will participate in the FE, I will be sure to give our final answer before the 25th.

We just got an email from Dreams Unlimited offering to upgrade our cabin catagory (for a small fee of course), so our stateroom number is in flux right now. This also tells me our ship is not at capacity.

Our kids still don't know about the cruise and won't know until we pull into the port on Sunday the 25th. Right now they think we are just going down for my birthday since I get free admission, won't they be surprised:thumbsup2
In case I didn't have it down before our DD is 8 and our DS is 4.

Glad to see some new comers as well.

I'd like to deliver my FE gifts at 2 or 3 different times. I think it would probably be best if everyone was able to deliver the gifts when it is most convienient for them. I've started buying a few little things here and there for the FE exchange, now I just need to buy the actual Fish Extender:thumbsup2!!!

And as much as I love the idea, the trick or treating could end up being a pain:laughing:. Since it is such a short cruise I'm not sure how much time everyone would want to take away from their activities to attempt a trick or treat route lol???!! We'll do whatever the group decides though!

Okay, so here's the list so far (as I mentioned in my last post, if I've left someone off, or you don't want to participate any longer, please let me know and I'll edit the list). I didn't find any cabin #'s so if you will let me know I'll edit the list as I get them.

Is this list pretty up to date? I know there are a few more people waiting to decide if they wanted to participate.

This sounds good to me!

I also agree about the trick or treating; I'd rather pass on that, since there will be so many other things to do.

We will for sure do the fish extender exchange. I like the idea of having everyone decide for themselves when/how often to give. I already have a couple of things lined up, so we will probably do at least a couple of days. We also got an offer to upgrade for a small fee, so our cabin #'s are also now in flux.

As far as trick-or-treating, I hadn't really thought about the logisitics of it, so I am fine with skipping it!

Our totally awesome travel agent managed to get DCL to assign us our cabins instead of going with a GTY when we upgraded! WAHOO! DH & I will be 2 doors apart, and DMIL will be 10 doors down. I was really worried that we'd end up being scattered much farther apart by upgrading to the GTY, so I'm stoked!

Oh, so our new cabin #'s are: 6542, 6562, & 6568. Looks like we'll be pretty close to a couple of you. :cool1:

Now that's just too funny. 6562 was our original cabin but we just got upgraded out of it as I mentioned earlier. I also got my room assignment and not the GTY as originally told. Not sure if you are also using Dreams, but a big kudos to Kelsie!

Rookie question here........How did you find out that you were upgraded?

Rookie question here........How did you find out that you were upgraded?

I received an email on Sunday from my travel agent (Dreams Unlimited) letting me know that there were upgrades available on a first come first served basis and I just had to pay the "upgrade price."

Hope that helps.

We also got an email from our travel agent (Small World Vacations) telling us that DCL was offering an upgrade for a small fee; which we accepted & paid for and were then upgraded.

I need to add the last few that have just come on the board, but as far as I know, yes this list is pretty up to date. I just need cabin #'s from those who have them, and any info that everyone would care to give. I understand that some will not have cabin dates for a little bit yet, and will add those once I get them.

If you are no longer interested in doing FE's, or have now decided you would like to do it, please let me know and I will update the list as I get answers from everyone.

Hope all is well with everyone!! Not much longer now!! (hee hee):banana:

Mike:

If you've got your room assignment, can you get it to me so I can update the FE list?

Thanks!!:cool1:

Okay...I have updated the FE list on page 5 with the new groups and any cabin #'s that I have. I still need cabin #'s from the following groups (tampabrat22 & kika...I know you have gty cabin #'s and will get them for me when you get them, but am just listing you here so I can stay organized):

tampabrat22
kika
Thumper & Bambi
akelly1499
TiggerTails57
msabol01
CaptMarge
MMitchell29
Crystal and her group
Tacha and DD

If you no longer want to participate in FE and your name is on here, just let me know and I can take you off the list.

Also, I'll copy and paste the list on this last page and hopefully that will help everyone find it.
