Oh yeah! Hi there, neighbor!!! Maybe we can meet up sometime before the cruise! When are you flying out? Are you doing any park time before or after the cruise? We are DVC members, so we will be spending some time there after the cruise gets back.

We don't have our airline tickets yet but our dates are flexible because my oldest will be off track then.

I am in the process right now trying to decide if it is worth it financially to become DVC members. I have been looking into it for over a year now. I had actually started saving some money to do it but decided to put it towards this cruise and hold off on the DVC for now.

Yes, let's meet up sometime before the cruise!

HI everyone! I just booked this sailing today! I am SO excited and luckily my kids arent home today becuase I want to tell everyone about it, but I'm going to *try* to keep this a secret and surprise them!

We love to cruise, this will be our 5th but our FIRST Disney cruise! I will be sailing with my mother, and two kids...my son Tristan who will be 12 and my daughter Jaden who will be 7! I'm really hoping there will be some Halloween activities since it is my fave holiday!

And we would love to participate in the FE exchange:cheer2: !

:cheer2: Welcome!:cheer2:

I can feel your excitement and it gets me excited all over again!

I don't know about any Halloween activities but I do know that there is a Pirate Party one night! pirate: We will be dressing up for that!

I can't wait to meet everyone!:grouphug:

This thread is so quiet:worried:...

A friend of mine and her 2 kids (14 & 15) booked and will be sailing on the cruise too! I'm trying to get my sister & cousin to come along as well!

We are definitely a quiet bunch! As the date gets closer we should talk about possibly a meet onboard :).

We would love to do a meet up, the FE exchange and even some sort of trick or treat if anyone is interested!

This is our first Disney cruise so I dont know how these things work, but it's fun just reading about it on the other threads! And I would be happy to help set up anything or whatever! I know it is a while away but I love to plan ahead!:thumbsup2

On our last cruise, everyone from the Dis Boards all wore a lime green lei. It was funny to see random people thoughout the ship with them on. I'm sure people at the sail away party all thought we were with some large tour group or family reunion :).

Woohooooo:cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: ...my sister just booked this cruise as well!! She will be sailing with her husband and 2 kids (4 & 8 yr olds)!!! This is gonna be so much FUN!!

We will be on this cruise too - this will our 2nd Disney cruise (our last was a 3 day in Feb 08) and we are coming with 2 other families that have not cruised before.....we have two dds who will be 9 and 6 on this cruise. We just got back yesterday from Orlando (no cruise this time!) but now I am suffering from post-vacation depression so it's time to start planning the details of our next trip!! I cannot wait until we sail again - I got more excited every time I saw the DCL bus in Orlando!

Hi Barb, welcome! You sound like me, as soon as one vacation ends I have to start planing the next!! My dd will be 7 on the cruise, so she is close in age to your girls!

Are any of you planning on surprising your kids or did you already tell them? I am trying to come up with a good way to surprise them, if you ladies have any ideas please let me know!!

Hi everyone,

It looks like the group is growing! I am sure this board will be buzzing once we get closer. Right now we are leaning towards doing the Fish Extenders as well. It would be our first time, so we are still trying to understand it all. Mainly want to make sure we reciprocate in kind.

Nice to see some other DVCers as well. We will be doing at least one day before and one day after the cruise at the parks. We're planning to do Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Speak with you soon!

It sounds like this cruise is going to be so much fun!
I love all of the different ideas that you all have. We are in for FE, trick or treating and the green lei's! (or whatever color is decided on) I am always willing to help organize as well. As we get a little closer to sailing I will be totally focused on the cruise!

We are planning on also taking a day before and possibly after the cruise to see some things in the area. I have never been to Kennedy Space Center, I think that might be a one day excursion. We may go to WDW after the cruise.

Can anyone help me understand the Oceaneers Club reservations? Do I have to make specific reservations with what days/times the kids will be in there or is it a registration thing and I can drop them off whenever?:confused3

See you on the ship!:wave2:

Hi Baby Burrito,

We are looking forward to this cruise too.

As far as the club/lab registration goes...you can register online after you make full payment and so many days ahead of time or you can wait to register once you get to the terminal. If you register on line you will just have to pick up your pager at the terminal. You do not need to sign up for time--the kids can go to whateveer they want to in the clubs/lab. You just need to check them in and out (or they can self check out in the lab--if you want them too)

I too want to do the fish entender--it is just so much fun! and trick or treating would be fun too. I like your idea of green lei's or something similar. We should also try to meet up and meet one another on the ship the day we sail.

I am looking forward to meeting everyone!:goodvibes :cool1: and just under 8 months we sail!:thumbsup2

Vicki

Thanks Vicki for the info,

it sounds way easier than I was making it out to be. What a relief to not have to worry about making specific reservations. Do you know how complicated that would be? :earboy2:
Although I have to say that I usually do schedule every minute of the day when on a Disney vacation.

I look forward to meeting you on the ship!:chat:

Hi,

My daughter's name is Amber and she is reading this with me. She will be looking forward to the PM.

We have downloaded a copy of the Navigator and have been looking at all of the activities that are planned. There are several activities that she is interested in and I think that it would be that much more fun with someone she knows.

I will try to find the thread that Adriane started.

We took passport photos yesterday and will be applying for passports soon.
It seems like I will always be doing something to get ready for this cruise from now until we leave.

:)

Suzanne

Suzanne,

This will be our first DC, but we are veterans of 2 cruises prior. We are also WDW veterans, visiting once ever-other year or so.

Along with my DW and DD 11, we are going to celebrate a DD's 9th b-day. Keep up the posts and especially the info about trick or treating and the fish exchange. It all sound like so much fun.

My DD 11 would love to trade some emails and get to know Amber and Adriana over the summer as we look forward the cruise.

Curtis

I was WONDERing if anyone has heard more about the upgrades that the ship will get in dry dock just before our cruise?

I have read about the Magic's upgrades, and I am under the impression that the Wonder will be about the same. I also heard the Magic was finished early, and they added a cruise during the time it was to be out of service. That would probably be a great last minute cruise.

tampabrat22 ~ No surprises here - I couldn't keep that a secret very well! Plus one of the other families has a dd that is best friends with our 9yo so they have been talking about it too.

I am glad to hear you have a daughter the same age! Her and my youngest, Rylee will be in the same age for the kids group - she is somewhat shy at first so we are a little worried about her esp since her big sis will have a friend there already and they will be doing the "big kid" stuff. Once she gets to know people she is totally fine. On our last cruise, she was 4 and it didn't bother her at all and she had a blast so I do have our fingers crossed!

We are having a "cruise planning party" with the other families next month - I am sure then it will start to feel more real! We had so much fun last time but I think this time is going to be even more fun! We are staying a few days after and celebrating Halloween at the parks - hoping it works out to do the Mickey's Halloween party afterwards.

Less than 7 months to go now!!!:yay::yay:
