October 25, 2008 Western DD

We are thinking about doing Grand Cayman and Cozumel on our own. We have a DD2, who love to play in the ocean (or as she calls it, the "bath"). Is anyone organizing anything as a group to any beaches at these islands? We were planning to do the DCL beach break on Cozumel, but it is not offered for our cruise.

I am not sure if anyone is doing any beach outing. I am doing a tour of the ruins and some others are doing the dolphins. Maybe someone else can join up with you or suggest a beach.

We are getting excited here. We have paid for everything but we are not liking the credit card bills! Ack!

Last week, we got our group insurance picked out and paid, all 3 families paid their final cruise balance, we have our flights, we finalized all our ground transportation and got our MNSSHP tickets. The total however is mind boggling! Most of our group have are Palo booked, and we have Palo brunch booked for the group.

We are flying in on the Wednesday the 22nd. We are all staying at the Boardwalk. Is anyone else staying there or at another Epcot resort?

Our first day we are planning on eating at Beaches and Cream for lunch, Kitchen Sink anyone?! Then we are heading over to the Magic Kingdom to catch our first glimpse of the castle. This should be exciting we have some in our group who haven't been to WDW in years and others who have never been at all! We are planning on staying for the fireworks and spectro. Its the only non MNSHHP while we are there.

Next day we are heading over to MGM and have ADR's at Sci-Fi for an early lunch. We will probably head out in the afternoon and take a break since we are going to MNSHHP that night! I couldn't believe the cost of it. We did it last year and are doing it again because it rained but still! I can't believe it cost over $200.00 for 2 adults and 2 children under 10!

Third day we are going to Animal Kingdom and hope to stay for the parade and get a lot done. At night we will head over to Epcot to see Illuminations and hopefully have time to eat at the kiosks at World Showcase (Food and Wine anyone!). I am sad we are not able to spend more time here and do some of the Food and Wine activities. I loved it last year. We also hope to get a few select rides in.

Then the next day we will be on our way!

Hi All!

Just popped on to say 'Hi' again, i do post very occassionally but think they get lost amongst all you're conversations!!

Things seem to getting organised our end now...just called the TA in US to pay my parents Cruise balance(The $ is too good not to-Ours we paid months ago, again when $ was strong against £1)

Paying the balance for flights on Monday, HHN, MNSSHP tickets all bought & Credit card bill in!!

AND Had a great 'Little' shop in the NEXT on line sale today for holiday clothes just for ME!!(Did go a bit mad!!)Saved a fortune though!!

So Exciting paying for everything!!

I went a bit crazy on the Next sale preview too and I am sure I will be back on there tomorrow morning when it opens properly at 8am - DH wants some linen trousers for the cruise - and last time I was on I forgot all about him -- whoops!

We have now paid everything off and I am now working on saving up some spending money! Only 2 days to go ans we will be in 80s !

hey suzie you ever get any sleep last night? saw that you posted that you were done VERY early this morning.

Thanks for asking, Amy! That letter was a stinkin' booger! I had to redo all of them then mail merge the addresses in. I've found that the last bookeeper sucked at addresses! I have so many to fix!

Got to bed about 4:15 and slept til 7:45 this morning when DH had to leave for a meeting. Thank God he was back home about 11:20 to help me deal with the kiddos. I have VERY little patience today with them. I'm SOOOO looking forward to a nap today!

We have a birthday party tonight that I'm now dreading! Hopefully we can bow out early enough that we all get good rest tonight.

I still have to go to Office Depot to get all 126 pages copied (one for the association file and one for the lawyers), stuff the letter in the envelope, then finish up the certified mailing part. Should only take a few more hours!

I'm still sitting here in my jammies, no breakfast. Gotta get a shower and brush my teeth (yuckie!) then it's off to do errands. Hoping to get lunch at Wegman's today! YUM! That would be a nice treat with a special coffee to help run that caffeine through the veins!

Got everything done - finito! Ed is off to the PO tomorrow morning (hopefully while I'm still sleeping!!) to mail these things out. So glad to see that over!

Have a dinner for next Friday with Isa and Abby's family to discuss the cruise and excursions. I want to make sure we are all on the same page about behaviour and expectations on the cruise. These are very good girls but it always helps to spell it out so that there's no confusion.

Well, I knew things were bad this week with the a/c going out in the house last Monday. Tuesday the battery in my Suburban died. Wednesday at 9:00 pm Ed was at Walmart getting me a new one because mine wouldn't hold a charge. The heat is just killing batteries around here. Two other friends had the same issue recently. So, bad things come in threes.....just waiting for the other shoe to drop and whammo, there it is! Dad's back in the hospital with bronchitis/pneumonia combo last night. Didn't call til this morning to tell us. He's only been home 10 days!!! I hope this is not the start of the never ending hospital visits again!

98 more days til the cruise, 9 more days til DCL bookings! Big party tomorrow......life has got to get better, right?! C'mon cruise!!!

I am very excited because tomorrow we are going camping and we are going to visit Helen and Andy (HelenSB on the DIS), and their daughters Rachel and Bethany in Somerset. (This was the surprise we were talking about last week). This is particularly exciting as we have never met in "real life" as we met through this cruise meet thread. We have spoken on the phone, but I am a bit nervous as to what they will think of us in "reality". We will be driving about 5 hours to get to Somerset, and will be camping there for 2 nights. We have been invited to a BBQ at Helen and Andy's house and then on Monday we are all going to an Italian restaurant.

I am just sending DH out for a haircut so that he looks presentable!

Sarah, that is so cool that you all get to meet up! We'll be meeting with Michelle and her family in Florida (Angelina's mom, not MichelleBriana) when we go down in August. I can't wait to meet her!

Dad just got out of rehab on July 7th after being in the hospitals, etc for the last 9 months! It's a long dismal story that just now never seems to end....
