Off to The House of Mouse tomorrow for 8 days.:moped: Packing is 99.5% complete and SOOOOOO ready to go!!! Will be off the boards (I'm NOT taking the laptop - work will stay at home!!!) until the 23rd, so see y'all then!:woohoo:  :woohoo:

Have a magical time Suzie! Give Mickey a big hug from us all!

Amy, cute Mimzy pic! Is that like the Last Mimzy movie? Just never heard that name before.

yes we named her after that movie, she was the last litter that we were going to have with her mother and if there was a girl, we were going to keep her. so the name was fitting.

Okay - here is a pic of all of us from our 'o6 cruise - hubby HATES getting his picture done, and I am usually the picture taker, so there are not a whole lot of all of us. Needless to say, I used every opportunity on the cruise to get family pictures done.

Here's a more recent one of me, from the Girls Cruise I did in October..

Hope they show up okay!

Have fun in Disney, Suzie!

Valerie

(PS: Am I off th hook now, Amy? You have finally seen a pic of me!)

kvaday - sorry - your hubby was right!

The early Labrador originated on the island of Newfoundland, now part of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. [54] The breed emerged over time from the St. John's Water Dog, also an ancestor of the Newfoundland dog (to which the Labrador is closely related), through ad-hoc breedings by early settlers in the mid to late 15th century.[54]

To explain this for everyone else - we were having a discussion on the chat last night about the Labrador Retriever, and whether it was named after my home province, or originated here. I thought the latter - as did kvaday's husband. Wikipeida proved her hubby and I right ::yes::

Now back to your regularly scheduled DCL planning.....

Valerie

Going to try and keep these in one post so anyone else like to share

Sorry it has been so long since I have been on the discussion board. I have tried to keep up-to-date by chatting with Newfie Mom at our kid's diving class every week. Name tags, Layards, donors...got to admit I am lost. I agree it would be nice to have a common page where the main topics and ideas can be updated so we don't have to go thru all the pages in the discussion board to try to catch up.
Thanks to all of those who are putting so much work into organizing things for this cruise.

Cheers,
Rexanne :yay:

NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now I have to tell him he was right. But see, we all had our little history lesson. :rotfl2: Thanks for the update.

Oh no - our thread had slipped on to page 2, luckily I caught it in time and brought it back to where it belongs!:thumbsup2

Janice (Dizney-Cruiser) has now made a front page post with all the important information re. DIS activities and events on our cruise. It's post number 6, so make a note of that for future reference. I am going to try and link to it in my signature.

Hi again! I have some news that I'm sure will be applicable to your Double Dip cruise as well!

I am looking at the DCL website for the CC excursions and for the special 2 day rentals it does not have our sailing listed and it says this:

Keep the fun afloat! Available to book online or onboard only, reserve a float or inner tube for your stop in Castaway Cay on select 4-Night Bahamian Cruises between May 11, 2008 and August 24, 2008 and swim away with 75% savings on the same rental during your return visit to Castaway Cay.

The 5 night Sept. 1st cruise is included in a list of dates.

Were you already able to book at the 105 mark and saw it there? I'm just not sure when you say "there" where "there" is?;)

Selket: Yes, I've already booked excursions (105 days) and the Castaway Cay excursions had the 2 day rentals listed. :hippie:

Hope that helps!

Great job Janice! We`ve come a long way since that no. 6 post was originally done. But in looking through our list, realized it needs to be updated - we`ve lost a few people! I know dizzi is gone, and we lost another one early on - was it agraygirl :confused3. I tried to look through the posts to see - but couldn`t remember for sure - do remember she was a nurse who was looking to move, so backed out of the cruise. Any one else know, or know of anyone else we`ve lost  . There are sure a lot of people who we haven`t heard much from - I`m guessing the closer we get, the more people will chime in.

Remember a while ago I talked about getting some iceberg pics - but had no luck because our weather was lousy? Well, Curlykate sent me these today, so I'm lifting them and posting them here. These babies bring us a lot of tourists from April - June, and there is an industry here harvesting the iceberg ice - the purest water you will get in the world - for products such as bottled water, iceberg vodka, iceberg rum, etc.

Hello All!:mic:

Ok - let me try to recap what I did this morning . . .

First off - YES!!! Please let me know of any updates you would like to see - or corrections you feel are needed!!

So today's updates to POST #6 are:

- - - HelenSB - Your brother, SIL and son have been removed (Congrats on the new baby!)

- - - agraygirl & dizzi have been removed from our roll call (Would love to have you back! Just say the word!)

- - - Itinerary has been adjusted so that hopefully Cozumel & Grand Cayman are on the correct dates! (I don't want to mess up anyones excursion plans!)

- - - I added the Trick-or-Treating Contact

- - - I added the link to our photo album

- - - I added Saturday night as another chatting option

- - - I moved the "Activities" area up so that it follows the "Roll Call"

So - please let me know how you feel

- does it appear to be more readable?

- easier to follow

- anything else you would like to see there

- do you see any errors?

Thanks All! Have a great day

HI Valerie

I am sure that Agraygirl is still cruising - it was shrpgrl who was unable to come because of her nursing job. I haven't heard anything about Agraygirl leaving (but I may be wrong). Agraygirl actually took over the Halloween on the High Seas website when the original person who set it up was unable to come on the cruise. She also still has "Oct 2008 Our first trip on the MAGIC!" as part of her signature, so it looks like she is still cruising.

Those iceberg photographs are amazing! They look enormous!
