The Hyatt has luggage pickup (you should have gotten an e-concierge email yesterday-ish that has a form on it). They also will help with getting your luggage out on Saturday for ME if that's what you're taking.

Just quickly checked this out. DW said when she read this, "that would be so great!" We have 1 more suitcase than last year (when we had to buy a bag on the ship to get it all home). Looks like you just fill out the form. Any experience with this? Does it work well?

Stayed up last night trying to finish door magnets - 48 so far - weighing in at five (5) pounds.

Picking up my formal from the alterations lady on Monday.

I don't have to pack for anyone else - children or husband - as I am single. I ask my nieces if they have packed certain items. Don't know how much help their mother is with their packing. Karen (15) has had her suitcases out and been collecting things to go into it for the last several weeks. She is SO excited about this third cruise. And the excitement got bigger when I told her I had booked us for the Westbound TA, but she is not allowed to mention it to my mother to avoid more distress at the thought of my leaving.

Got my embroidery back for my FE; now I've got to put it together.

And ship my boxes to the port on Monday. (Good thing we have two cabins, so I can send two boxes). Still, I think some FE gifts will have to go into our airplane bags.

I can't believe Jenn is off work today. I guess working late on Thursday made a difference.

This may have been asked before but was wondering if it is possible to make a request to change your dinner rotation once you are onboard the ship. Also, we are a party of four with linked ressies so assume we will be at a table of four. It might be nice to sit with others, however, for this trip, as we want to meet new people. Any advice re this would be appreciated.

Getting closer by the minute. Yeah:goodvibes

HOLY SNIKIES!!!!!!
One week from now at this very time we will be at the prot waiting to board. I can't wait to meet you guys in person finally. Lunch at Topsiders is on me, so help yourself.

.........

March On
Michael

Michael -that's a great offer! :woohoo: I hope you have a second credit card for the bar bill! :drinking1 :rotfl2:

As for the 2 quotes of the day - planning to pack this weekend? I'd better, considering we leave in the wee hours on Tuesday morning. But I am officially on vacation now, so will have the house to myself Monday to do all the last minute things.

Who packs? Me - everyone else will help pick things out, DH will throw all his on the bed, but I'll do all the sorting, packing (and some substituting :rolleyes1 ).

I haven't had the time to get caught up on my reading here, but I thought I'd post this picture for everyone -- a picture I took off our condo balcony just a short time ago. (With a little artsy-fartsy treatment; it's my nature :rolleyes1 )

Here she is, on her way out; next time she comes back in it's for us!!! :cool1:

Holy Cripes!!!! We're still not done packing (packed, unpacked, repacked! Oooohhh, it's ugly....) and have 6 bags!!!! :scared1:  Well, one is a garment bag so it kinda doesn't count...BUT OMGosh!!! I'm having a bit of a heart attack right now ......I still haven't even packed my make-up bag and that's gonna be huge! Takes lots, ya' know.........

Taking a dinner break and then back to the grind. I did totally forget that I have to do a headress and arm band for Tori's costume (got the stuff at Joanne's today and yes, I forgot my coupons....AGAIN!!) so it should only take a few minutes....maybe I can do it while she's eating....shouldn't bother her, right? Or maybe while she's sleeping? Did that with the straps for the sundresses that I made for our August WDW trip! How desperate am I?!:confused3

Isa had to sit out the swim meet because she's sick! Good vibes for her and getting well, please......

Okay, back to the grind, says the man....

Aw, what a sight.....actually have a few tears in my eyes!!! OOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Hey y'all - here's a question to ponder -

When is your moment on DCL that your eyes get all puddly?

Mine is when they do the countdown and announce "YOU'RE ON VACATION!"

It seems like that's the moment when all the stress leaves my body and I can finally relax.

What's yours?

Ben (of Ben, Jenny and Lily - DD5)

OK! So looking forward to getting to FLA and starting our vacation. It's 48 degrees right now:sad2: and know in one week at this time we will be aboard the Magic in warm temps:yay:

thanks for the info on the luggage

Ben,

I loose it pretty early on. I watch my girls non stop to see their expressions as we make our way to the Disney terminal as you can see the boat. Their eyes light up and they point and get all excited.

Mine is boarding the ship and they announce "Welcome! Announcing the Mattern Family....." then the first time you hear that horn go off!

WDW is seeing the Walt Disney World sign over the highway! Oh, the thought of that even gives me flutters in the depths of my tummy! I'm such a big baby, but I LOVE all things Disney so much! I guess it comes from being there in 1972 - our first stop back into the United States. The earliest video footage we have. My middle brother has that Super 8 footage somewhere...doesn't mean as much to him but he's the one that got it....bummer....

I think Disney et al got it right when they made the parks. It is a wonderful place and not to be missed. I know this vacation is a first for so many, so let me say, Relax, enjoy and don't be afraid to be a child! Enjoy it as a child enjoys it!!

We contacted Hyatt concierge services today and filled out the form. They replied and said the bellman would meet with us at check in, we should describe our bags and give him the claim checks. The minimum price is $10. (and I assume with 3 bags, it would be more plus tip.)

We got the MCO map online, checked where the Southwest ticket area is in relation to the Hyatt and decided we could wheel our own suitcases. This is our third time staying there and we always managed our own luggage.

We wrote back and cancelled. There is no charge the next morning when we set things out. And there was no way of telling the charge until we submitted the form.

Okay, to get a jump on things....

QOTD:

Who will be incommunicado this week and when do you leave? And will you miss chat on Thursday?

Not until Friday...that's when we leave. I'm a diehard - I WILL be on chat on Thursday! Never mind those who leave their friends behind....never mind those that don't take their laptops with them....We are the TRULY ADDICTED! Okay, got that off my chest.....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Night y'all!

QOTD-- I pack for all, DS picks his own clothes now, then I organize his suitcase

That's what I'm doing right now, trying to organize it all! UGGH!!!
We have three suitcases, 4 carry ons, including a rolling cooler
