October 25, 2008 Halloween on the High Seas (2)

Okay, it's not like I'm not decently ready for this cruise, really I am....not stressing - check. This is a good thing because roundabout now is when I drive Ed insane with cruise stuff. I'm really pretty calm about things. Have my little checklist here that I add to daily.....doing well...

Then.....

OMG! We have how many days til we leave for the cruise?!?!?!

Okay, so this caused me to panic a minute ago. Literally. This was just like the "laying on the operating table, can't breath because the epidural went in way too high, I've got to get up but can't because they started the c-section, give me medicine and oxygen" panic I had with Ameera. OMG!

So, according to a conversation with a dear fellow cruiser who shall remain nameless, you don't count today's date in your countdown. So that means that we only have 28 days til we leave for the MCO Hyatt.

Okay, so when did this happen??? When did this time fly by? Wasn't it just the other night we were all on chat counting down the minutes to when we could get on to do our excursions????? It was just a few days ago we were so happy that we were under 100 days, right????

Okay, breathe...two, three, four.....breathe......

Jenn, praying for you today. Please let us know what they say.

Sarah, on that note, any news from the GP? Hoping and praying that they figure out what's wrong.

Suzie - thanks so much for asking

I have urology appointment next week - so hopefully that might sort it all out. Fortunately my symptoms have been improving lately so I am hoping that continues :wizard: I certainly feel a lot better than I did 2 weeks ago, which is a good thing as I have SO MUCH TO DO!:scared1:

Tara - I can't believe how young you and your DH look on that photo - you don't look old enough to have kids of those ages!

Jenn - Good to hear the news about your f-tubes being clear. I hope that your other "problem" can be easily sorted. I have known many people with endometriosis who have gone on to conceive, so hopefully things will work out for you too. It is so difficult though when you are going through all of these procedures and there doesn't seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Sending you a big

Suzie: it is getting really stressful when you look at the time we have left - we leave home for Manchester exactly 3 weeks tomorrow - and everything will need to be done by 3 weeks today! Now that is scary:scared1: On a positive note, I have worked out that I only have 8 work shifts left to go!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Am I seeing this right? One month from today we get on the Magic??

I am now in panic mode with Suzie!!
:scared1:

WooHoo!!!

DHL just been to deliver our cruise docs!!
Post mark was 23rd Sept so thats really good to get here so fast!(UK)

No docs as yet for my parents but they're GTY & still no room # showing on line. Hope they get theirs soon as my poor Dad is starting to worry about his cabin!:confused3

Got the room we booked so no pixiedust came our way but I'm hoping it will for Mum & Dad!:wizard:

4 weeks from now, I'll be off, and DW will be working her last full day (doing a half day on the day of our flight down). She's decreed that once we get past the Dr and Mrs Burns Pediatric Lecture Day, the cruise is priority #1. Oh, and moving everything back into the joint office after getting it painted.

Too dark when we get up now for a family walk at 0600ish. Probably heading out soon. While I was out front getting the paper, Chris was out back with Max. When I returned to the back yard, Chris was laughing, and said, "I think I just saw a brief moment of the fastest running out of him I've ever seen."

Another cruise tip, from Christine: start saving those nice, crisp bills for tips.

We wish for all the best for those with health issues. :wizard:

Janice - I see on your ticker that you will be staying at the Boardwalk on 10/22. We will be there late on the 23rd. Had a hard time deciding on whether to do MNSSHP or Wine and Food Fest and Wine and Food won out. Probably because we have season passes and don't have to buy an extra ticket. We have done MNSSHP for the last 3 years. It is a blast. :yay: Maybe we will meet before the cruise then. We are taking the DCL transportation to the cruise on Saturday. I can't wait :) In my mind, I'm already there :dance3:

OOH! Yes! Another thing that I may be able to accomplish today. Getting the tip envelopes ready. Thanks, Sean and Christine!

Okay, panic mode somewhat over....maybe....the weather is so yucky today, no going out for us other than the bank really quickly soon. There's supposed to be 30-40 mph winds coming and lots of rain. Yuck.

**BUT for those of our NC and SC friends, please stay safe! I saw that they were going to get hit by this "not quite a tropical storm but could become a hurricane" storm this morning. The wave measurements were pretty high last night for the coast line. OOOOFF!

So, we're doing mostly indoor stuff like clothes packing/going through and matching shoes, etc with outfits. Gotta do the kiddos stuff first since it's so much easier! Then onto our stuff.

Everyone have a good day and see y'all on chat tonight!

Hey Suzie - what about the question of the day?

There were no blockages in my F tubes, but something amiss at the top of my uterus. I may have a form of endometrosis (sp?) called admeniosis (sp?).  :sad2:

I will have to have an MRI in the next couple weeks. I have another followup the morning before we leave for Florida (10/23)...

I am going to NEED this vacation!

Glad the tubes are clear! Keep us posted!!!

Michelle

Michelle

The Dr.'s office called this morning. They were able to schedule my MRI for 10:45 tomorrow A.M.... This is great because I was also able to move up the followup from the day before we fly out (:scared: ) to Mon, Oct 6.... Not so much squishing in stuff the day before....

This is all deja vous (sp?) because in 2006 when we went on a DD... I became prego in Nov... and miscarried in early Dec. My trip to WDW and DCL was scheduled for 12/6 (cruise on 12/9).... I had a crazy week because of all the extra work I had to do (working in a church at Christmas - oy!) and with all the bloodwork and appts to confirm the miscarriage, then the day b4 i flew out I was getting a D&C....

Rambling, I know... nervous energy abounds today! :scared:

:worship: Thanks for being so willing to listen! You guys ROCK! :cool1:

Sarah, so glad you look forward to these! Yes, I am late but cleaning the bathroom floor was a necessity (PT little girl here!!! Thank God she's not a boy or I would have been cleaning the walls AND the floor!!)

Anyway, here goes!

What is your favorite Disney movie? (sorry this isn't cruise related.....I'm late doing it and the pressure is ACK!)

My favorite Disney movie of all time is Cinderella. This is the first movie I can remember but I was always enchanted with the idea of that instant love and happily ever after....and the cute little Jaq and Gus, Suzie and Perla mouse and all the other little helpers!

Althgough it doesn't match my favorite disney character (Jiminy Cricket) I think my favorite Disney Movie(s) are "Toy Story" 1 & 2 - with my favorite line being :

Mrs. Potato Head: [to Mr. Potato Head] I'm packing your extra pair of shoes, and your angry eyes just in case.

Thanks Suzie - I do look forward to the QOTD!:goodvibes

My all time favourite Disney movie happens to be Pirates of the Caribbean - I love all three films, but if I had to choose just one I would have to choose the first film as it totally blew me away.

My favourite animated film would be The Little Mermaid and my favourite "pixar" film would be Toy Story.

I LOVED Nemo! so cute funny, beautiful graphics...I just LOVED Dori, what are we talking about? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Whoo Hoo! i got my stateroom # yay! upgraded to a CAT 8 room 6518! hurry go check your ressies!   :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
