October 25, 2008 Halloween on the High Seas (2)

As promised: our adorably simplistic FE (the door will have more decor) -- see guys, if I can make an FE, anyone can. (I'll be removing the tape in place of staples.

Sorry I missed chat last night... Thursdays are my long days at work 8:30-8:00, so when I get home I am usually good for just about nothing....

I need some help though... Gradysmommy is working on my fe... I told her that i didnt want anything overly commercially disney... and on the pockets (2) one for dh that has grumpy on it with the words "I am with dopey" and for my pocket dopey with the words "I am with grumpy"... We chose this because we bought t-shirts that said this on our honeymoon in WDW and wore them on our first disney (honeymoon) cruise...

They just sort of sum up our personalities... so now I need a one liner for the top of the fe.....

I wanted: "Why would you cruise with anyone but the mouse" but she thinks that may be too long....

Any thoughts???

Good morning all!! Hope everyone is dry.....

Just getting started on packing for the trip tomorrow. Sad that I'll miss chat all this week (be kind, don't volunteer me for anything!!!) but I'll try to get updates this week on the phone....addiction is terrible....

First time doing the dining plan (any suggestions from those who have????) there so not sure what to expect although, from what I've read, Disney overdid themselves and all the restaurants are BOOKED! They even had to open some seasonal restaurants and Chef Mickey's is doing lunch now! Whew! Sounds like it could be really crowded!!! BUT it's away from home and the computer so it's all good.

I'll try to get on chat tonight (will have to last me all week so I'd better be able to!!) but last minute stuff may have to precede it. I refuse to stay up too late tonight and be exhausted in the am! Gotta get some sleep tonight.

As if I didn't have enough to do, I made Tigger and Pooh dresses for the girls last night (ACK! Overachiever, right?!) and they look really cute! Never would have done it except the sundresses were half finished on the bolt! Just add some straps and seam up the side - TADA! I'll have to take a pic and post it when we get back. They really are cute!

Amy, please tell Missy I'm still getting ideas and will get with you/her when I get back. I think this will be fine!! I can do this and it WILL be cute!! (I might get her email from you later, too).

Okay, off to project #1 - Mousekeeping envelopes....Tori wants to make them this time. She's so excited!

Good Morning all!

Suzie- I am so excited for you to be going on your trip to WDW tomorrow. To hear you talking about Tori being excited to make envelopes, that is the best part about Disney no matter how many times you have been there it is still exciting to go and the kids excitement is priceless. Even though I am tad bit jealous, I hope you and your family have an absolute fantastic time and I can not wait to see the pictures especially of the dresses you made.

Anyway my fish extender was shipped, hopefully I recieve it today! I might have to figure out photobucket so I can post a picture here. Come to find out, Shelby has a photobucket account, so I will have to learn from my kids. Also I may have to get a picture of our family so you can all see what we look like! Except I do not have nice Disney pics like most of you....

Also I was looking at my ticker does it really say 2 months 2 days? When did that happen? We actually leave 2 months from today only 9 more Saturdays to go until we board the Magic! But how am I going to get everything done? My kids have never been on a plane before, Ashlyn is a little worried. Well I better check my list and see what I can get done today. I have been working with my vendor on the bag project and it was way too expensive to do a custom bag at such a low quantity. The Halloween logo would have had to be recreated as a 4CP, which I don't know that anyone can do, and even just a 1 color Halloween on the High Seas with the dates would have ended up being about $5 a bag when you add in the setup charge and shipping, soooooo we are back to the oriental trading bag. There are actually 2 nice ones to choose from. Take a look at both and let me know which one you would prefer. As a reminder, if you have not signed your kids up for the trick or treat, please send their names to Jackie (jns) by September 5.

i like option #2, the string/ rope straps cut into their shoulders once the bad is filled and heavy.

I like them both... but I do understand where the strings on number 1 could hurt if the bag is too heavy...

I like the stringed one better (option 1) but I like them both so really its not that important to me. Both are nice.

Also, I signed up to donate $$ to something. I think it was T&T. Who is in charge of the $$?

I actually like option #1 better - looks like it would be more "user friendly" afterwards. Hopefully you'll get consensus soon Michelle! Maybe those who are actually paying for them should have final say? But I'm okay with whatever you decide.
