Thought that I would join you in a dance

We will try our best to meet you all at 3 o'clock on Sunday. As far as looking for me prior to arrival we won't be getting to the Port til at least 1(probably closer to 1:30 because we are't getting picked up from POR until 11:45.
In just 2 short weeks we will be at WDW

Alright, I've been lurking for months gathering information and finally decided to let you know that we'll be joining you on the Wonder, too! Me, DH, DD3, and MIL and her DH. We're in 7622 (next to you Admiral!) and close to the meeting place. MIL and her hubby are in 7122!

I am so excited. This will be my first cruise on DCL and first cruise since my senior trip in high school. My DH has never sailed, which is why I booked us a Cat 7 for the first one. Wanted a bit more space and a verandah since we'll have to spend some time in there for DD's naps, etc.

You'll recognize us at boarding by finding the 3' foot tall, curly haired 3 year old with her favorite bunny running around because she will have been cooped up in our van for 2 days! We leave at 5am on Saturday morning and will pull in to Port Canaveral between 11am and 1pm on Sunday.

Can't wait to get our docs too!

Well, Welcome Sam'sMom(Beth) & Family.
We are getting quite a nice little group here. There seem to be a few of us "first time cruisers"(us included - I have the Bonine packed and ready - not taking any chances).
Where are you traveling from? We have done the 2 day travel with small kids in the past - dd was 3 and ds was 5 on our first trip to WDW. That was about 19 years ago, it really wasn't that bad.

We got our docs last night, as well. Of course, they're already filled out! Ours came as one booklet for both of us which is much nicer than one booklet for each person!

Re: Bonine

Ah yes, sea sickness. Didn't bother me last year, but DW didn't like it all too much. Also, me eating escargot in Tritons while she was sitting next to me and pretty much "Green" didn't help either.

Re: Cabins

Welcome aboard, Samsmom! Apologies now for any...noise you hear. tee hee. I suppose it could be worse though. Could be next to one of the honeymooning couples.

Henlady: We'll be coming in from St. Louis. Our DD travels really well and took her first road trip when she was 4 weeks old! She's never flown anywhere, but has traveled by car, truck, or van all over the midwest more times than I can count. And even if we flew down, we would still have to take a whole day to travel on Saturday, plus have to lug carseats and strollers, etc. Driving we get to leave all that stuff in the van! Yippee!

Our documents came late yesterday afternoon and my DD5 thought I had lost it when I was jumping and dancing around.
I am so looking forward to getting back on the ship. DD was very happy though the day before to get her postcard from Cinderella.

Our cabin number is the same, 7035. DM & DF did not get their documents yet so once they do I will post those numbers as well.

We are doing the stingray excursion at CC too. Have to find out if DH scheduled it at 10 or 11. We had signed up for the one on Nassua so am more than happy to experience this at CC instead.

Looking forward to meeting everyone at 3P on Sunday. The countdown is on.

How are the "docs" delievered?

We received ours by UPS yesterday and last year. Not sure if it makes a differnce who you book through. We booked through DVC so Disney directly.
I booked my parents through a cruise travel agency and their docs did not come in yet. Believe those go to the agency first and then delivered.
Find out soon, I hope.

We booked through Dana @ MICDAN.COM and our docs were delivered yesterday directly to us.

We booked through a TA and she said the docs will go to her this week, and she'll forward to us. Maybe they'll be there when I get home from work today!!!!

SPZ Curly - No upgrade here, but I am content with what we have, but if DCL would like to use up a couple of those category 4 staterooms that are open, I wouldn't complain if they gave us and DF's a couple. I think that would be good PR on Disney's part.

DWingate - Don't worry you'll get your Docs. They really are nothing special. (hehe). But then again, maybe the dog (or cat) got them. Or the neighbors dog got them.
Or the big hairy ape guy from Universal studios is holding them hostage.
Maybe the wife-to-be is hiding them from you just to make you sweat a little (did you do everything she has asked you lately - think about it) . Or maybe the UPS guy got hijacked by the DHL guy and he has them. Aren't you staying near Keef22? They could have sent yours to him by mistake. Just a few little scenarios to think about.

Our room number according to the website -- still waiting on the docs -- is 1038. Directly underneath the number it says "Category #12 Standard Inside State" ... but after looking up the number on the deck plan, it looks as though 1038 is Cat 9, Deluxe Ocean View. So which is which? Could anyone help us out?? It's fine if we didn't get an upgrade, but I want to know if we did... before we get really super excited.

I checked the deck plans too and it certainly is a cat.9 You must be jumping out of your skin . So far it looks like you are the only ones to get an upgrade

Yes, you got an upgrade. When DCL hands out upgrades they ONLY CHANGE the room number, NOT the "verbal" category that you have booked. Therefore, you must be vigilant and check that the room number assigned is indeed the category that you have booked. Also, don't forget, there aren't even any cat 12 rooms *on* deck 1. You will have two small portholes as opposed to one large one, however an upgrade is an upgrade. More room, split baths, etc. Plus you will be nice and close to the gangways when we stop! I'll add you to the room list tomorrow when I get to the office. No time right now - Family Guy is on in 10 minutes
