Hello all. I have switched a cash trip at Port Orleans over to SSR with the last weekend at POR ! Very excited. However, I'm waitlisted for two of the nights. I haven't cancelled my POR ressie just yet.;)

My trip has shown up on MY DVC. Where do I look and what does it look like if I get my waitlist days? MS said I would get something in the snail mail, and when I questioned checking the web page she said I could, but did not know how....:confused3

TIA !

If you get your days, they will be on the ressie that you see on the site. There's no place now to see just what you are waitlisted for, but as you get what you want the days are added to your ressies on line.

we are going to ssr oct 24-nov4 and are waitlisted for the 25th too....how weird. what a random day to be full.

I know, I can't figure out why the 25th is a problem. Sunday the 21st make sense as the beginning of the low point week, but Thursday?

Strange.

As long as I get the 21st, I'll be OK, I can scoot over to POR one day earlier, but missing the Sunday in mid trip could really be a hassle!

Good luck to you!

Maybe Thursdays busy because people do go for a long weekend. If the weekend begins on a Thursday and extends to Monday morning, people can at least get 2 weekday nights in the mix.

And Thursday is already busy because of the people who book from Sunday to Friday morning.

thanks..we have a cash reservation for the 25th in case the waitlist doesn't come through.

How much did the cash night cost, if you don't mind me asking? I may consider that for the 21st if I can do that...

for a studio i think it was like $250. A one bedroom $315 or so. I really don't want to pay for it though. We are also going to try to book at AKV for a few days in the beginning of our trip. I highly doubt we will get in there...but it never hurts to try.

Perhaps the days are sold out because of the MNSSHP - both 10/21 and 10/25 are party nights.

OKW is sold out for the 25th also for a 2 bedroom unit. I wanted to change my dates, but couldn't as the 25th is all booked up.

Isn't this the day the DVC cruise comes back? I bet you they are staying an extra couple of days over.

Well, that didn't seem so bad. I was prepared for an agonizing wait, but today I checked my upcoming vacations, and there was the third confirmation number, for one night for the 21st!

Hope everyone else got their "wishes" today!:cool1:

I was hoping that after tomorrow with the AKL opening up to non owners, we would have a strong chance of people trying to move over and leaving SSR for us. A day early works for me too!

Still waiting for the 25th, but that's not as important to us...

Guess I should change my ticker a bit.:cloud9:

Waitlist came thru a day or two ago. Very excited.

Wasn't too much trouble or stress either.

My only question now is, will they ever merge all my ressies into one? I have 4 different numbers for one trip.:rotfl:

5 if you count our move to POR at the end....

A couple of weeks ago, I tried for a studio Oct 25-Oct29 at either OKW or SSR and the 25th was the only problem, at that time she mentioned the PGA tourney going on.
Ended up calling back and made the reservation for SSR Oct 26-29. We're using HHonors points for the 25th, and going to SeaWorld for the first time since the 70s, first time in ten years for F&W, and doing MNSSHP for the first time too. Can't wait!

Just call back and ask them to "link" your reservations together. If they are linked you won't have to move...very important! The last time I did my ressie like this, they sent me a new confirmation sheet with the entire date on it. They should've linked your ressies together, but it doesn't hurt to check. Most likely they will consider your first number the main number, but it will continue to look pieced together on your home page.
