There was a ban cos last summer there was a lack of rain, and the water authorities imposed a ban, fines up to £1000, for using a hosepipe.
Sadly we are not very effiecient at storing water, so this is the problem that happens. In Thames water area ( where we live) they loose 1000 of litres of water a day from leaking pipes, but dont let me water my garden.!!! Well you can water your garden but not with a hose. Now the crazt rule is... If you want to use water as a play thing in your garden, you cant get fined:confused3 . i know this as my friend works for the water company. You can fill a paddling pool, and then empty it over your lawn. You cant use the hose to water your lawn directly. you can throw water at your kids in a game, as long as it doenst go on the garden???? yeah right ! By law they cant stop you using a hose to water down a drive or pathway............... and if the water goes on your plants.......... oh well!
WEIRD OR WHAT!!

Yes Jeff I know ........................ the depth of snow is not uch, but we are not equipped to cope !:rotfl:

I agree about learning to drive in snow and ice. My convertable will stay snug on the drive if its to slippy. Wayne has a Landrover, so we have no excuse about not being able to go anywhere.!

Karen....... WHAT HAPPENED WITH YOUR VIEWING????:confused3
Chris and I will be beating you on the number of posts:)

Nancy did you mention that you are goingto Disney on Ice with your DD? When are you going? Have a great time! Please let me know how it was after you go. We haven't been in years and I wanted to take Rachel but I am glad we decided to not buy tickets because with her being sick we wouldn't be able to go anyway. Hopefully next year!

Hi everyone. OK, the last time I was here, we were on page 155, now we're on 185! I have to go thru 30 pages people just to catch up!

Just an update, and I'll go start reading.

Sam's doing better. Once her fever broke (over 102!) she was a completely different child. Much more her normal self. Both the girls and John are all on medication. They've all got the creeping crud! Poor dears. They're all coughing and hacking all over the place. I keep telling them to stay far, far away from me!

Anyway, let me go backtrack a bit. I'll post again later once I'm all caught up.

Hi again,

OK, I just read 155 - 165. That took forever!

Here's a few thoughts:

Thanks to everyone for their good thoughts & for sending dust stuff for my family!

Welcome Spacey9 & family!

Cheryl, sorry to hear Rachel had pneumonia. Looks like she's feeling better as she was helping you post!

Brenda, I'll pm you soon for an invite to the Yahoo group.

Jeff, how on earth do you manage to count the posts to a thread?

OK, back to page 166!

I just finished 166 - 175. Not too much happened! Karen & Chris got into a "war" and Rachel did a whole page by herself. Lots of people have gone gaga over RCL's newest ships. And Jeff got the flu. (Hope you're feeling better now!)

Whew! All caught up now!

Karen - how did the viewing go?

We had a minute amount of snow last night, and the schools were all closed today. Ridiculous! They're such wimps around here.

Cheryl & Brenda, we love BCV and wish we could have bought some points from there. We just got the invite to buy at AKL (VAK?) but we'll pass. We're going back to BCV this May. We love the location. Just a 5 minute walk to Epcot!

OK, I'll try to stay caught up around here. Everyone's so posting crazy lately!

Jeff, how on earth do you manage to count the posts to a thread?

I individually counted each page and created a spread sheet.

This post was 96 for you.

Just kidding. If I reveal how I get this info, I'd have to kill you. Or kill myself after reading all the "post wars" that will be here.

It's bad enough being part of the 8/17/08 Repo thread.

Well, I am told by DH that the Italy job will probably not open to a Marine, so it looks like our original plan of moving to VA is still good to go! So, that means that we are still on for the cruise!!!

Now if I could just talk him into the Massage Spa Villas (sorry, I know that name isn't right) on the Magic, all would be right in my world!! UNFORTUNATELY THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!:lmao:

It IS the year of a million dreams, isn't it?:rotfl:

Karen, what about the viewing? How'd it go? Did you have coffee? (maybe with Bailey's?):coffee:

Nancy.... and anyone else looking for a long-term diversion....

I started the October trippie, although the first post is background info more than anything. Follow the last link in my signature if you want to take a look.

Thank you and good night! :goodvibes

Welcome to the Spacy9 family!! :welcome:
Please introduce your family by names. We have a running total of our DISers and will soon open up a separate Yahoo site in addition to this thread.

The DISers on this thread refer to themselves as the "Konked Kruisers". I am Nancy (51) and DH is Chuck (50). You will find us a fun and VERY chatty group of people. We are lucky enough to have DISers from the U.S.,the U.K. and the beautiful country of Canada!!
We will be playing a game of DIStag on board this October. Once I find the instructions I'll post them for you. You can then see if it's something you'd like to join in on.

Glad to have you onboard!!:yay:

Nancy:flower3:

Sorry its taken so long to get back here - works keeping me busy, thats why I NEED another cruise :goodvibes

Here is the family info:

Me, Bill, 35
DW, Rashelle, 33
DD, Brianna, 7, will be 8 on the cruise
DD, Caitlin, 5, will be 6 on the cruise

Hopefully a picture of the family from the last cruise shows up below here...

Let me know if you need any more info and DIStag sounds interesting :)

Bill

Welcome Spacy9 family.

Well the snow arrived, all 4-6ins of it and settled. Roads were not sufficiently gritted, so bit scary at times, but made it to work. In the centre of London, the snow is not so deep and the roads are clear.

What's everyone doing next week for Valentines Day. It's our Wedding Anniversary, but were not doing anything special. Might cook something nice for dinner that's about all, as we are both at work.

Have a good day - Heather

:sad1: He didnt show:sad1:

I fluffed cushions, flicked dust around, I even vacuumed the cupboards for godsake:scared1: and he didnt show up:mad:

Well..... thats it...he's banned from buying my lovely little house now even if he rings up and grovels to come back.:p - I dont hoover cupboards twice for anyone.:sad2:

Oh well..... life goes on.... Birmingham council has shut every school - we have about 2" of snow.....that means they have doomed me to an afternoon of snowman building in the back garden cos I promised Ellis last night thinking it wasnt going to snow cos there was still nothing late last night. Woke up and baaa humbug it had arrived. I will therefore turn myself into a 6 year old and go play snowball fights and make snow angels:rolleyes: ...the things you do to keep the kids happy.

Karen same here ............. school closed and snow man building !!!
Sorry the man didnt turn up !!! His loss in the long run. I wouldnt WANT to sell my house to anyone I didnt LIKE!

We made a 5 foot snow man in the garden .............. take a look!
We are now warming up with coffee and bacon sandwiches!!! emmmm
