Luckily I went to asda on my home from the gym and bought a load of flowers so they are in the lounge nad dining. Fresh fruit and veg in the rack and fruit bowl:thumbsup2

I'll have a pot of coffee on for the smell as I havent any bread to bake:confused3

Eek! - it seems real now - all nervous in case he actually wants it...

Good Luck Karen. pixiedust:

BTW, try cookies or a pie if you don't have bread. Anything that will pleasantly stink up the house. Plus, Ellis will probably like some cookies when he gets home from school. :thumbsup2

I wish I could get Suz interested in the Freedom of the Seas or any other ship. We are just the opposite in our house. She wants nothing but Disney for cruising.

There is a ship by Norwegian that, according to Cruise Critic, has the best kids club next to Disney, but she still wants DCL. Even though we could get a suite, not just a balcony room, for slightly more than we paid for a Cat 9 oceanview this January.

DS is interested in the Freedom, but he really doesn't know much about it. Just what Daddy has talked about. If the boat has a twisty slide, I don't think it matters much whose line were on for him.

My fear is that the one time we go non-DCL, something goes wrong and then DW will NEVER go on anything else.

Don't get me wrong, I love DCL. It's just that there are other itineraries out there and much cheaper cruises as well.

Brenda, I was looking at the RCCL book, as well as their website, yesterday and they have 10 and 11 night cruises that go into the canal and back out. It also hits several other islands. Just a thought if you and Jason are looking for something next summer with DCL on the west coast.

Dust stuff to Karen!!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Brewing a pot of coffee is exactly what I would do, too! In fact, that is what I will do now.........

Have a great day everyone, and keep your fingers crossed for me that my DH doesn't come home and tell me we are moving to Italy! There may be a slot opening up for a Marine......Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Italy (and the rest of Europe), but if we go to Virginia (our original plan) my DD will get all four years of high school in the same school--very rare for a military kid! She even has friends there already. If we go to Italy, we will only be there 2 years, then God knows where after that.

Oh and the worst of it....if we go to Italy, I have to cancel this cruise and our 2008 summer WDW (first at a DVC) trip!!!:scared1: :scared1:

What a dilemma!!!:confused3

I think we will end up with our orginal plan, as in my heart I feel it is best for my kids......that has always come first with my DH---not the case for all families of military men, unfortunately.

It seems you all have become my therapy. I really do have friends....:rotfl:

Paige here is some "dust stuff" for you too pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: I hope everything works out and you get to keep everything as planned! It must be very hard to move around alot and not know where your next "home" will be.

We're in imminent danger of falling off the first page. :scared1:

BTW, Jeff, thanks for the info...I'd seen some of those other Panama cruise and have been eyeballing them for a while. We'll see what the Man has to say... ;)

Jeff are you all better today? It seems you sent your stomach bug to Rachel as she is home from school yet again today because of a stomach ache and she was vomitting during the night. I sure hope she will be well enough to go to school tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Cheryl thanks for the kind post,:) I know you are right, there will be plenty more years for Elouise and us to enjoy other linners.

Disgrits... fingers crossed for you and your family. :grouphug: Italy is very pretty, in places, we have been quite a lot ( pre Elouise) as its quite a short flight, so would go for 3 or 4 nights. However I think with the schooling issue, it would be better for your DH not to be posted. All the best either way.

Jeff, I guess I should know this, im sure its in the 100000 's of pages , How old is your Son? :confused3 would you try Freedom when he is older.?
Dont get me wrong we do enjoy Disney and the Cruise line, however we are keen as a family to experience many many things. In fact Orlando is the only place we have all been to more than twice- ever. My motto too many places to see, not enough time!:lmao:

Karen, its 10 to 6.............. guess you are fluffing the cushions etc etc............. dust stuff babe.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

I get my shoes and coat on to come out to play and you went without me...:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Chris, You call me an "Old Lady" and now you want to come out to play?? Since it's so cold around here I think this "Old Magpie" will stay in for recess. :cutie:

Linda,

He's going to be 7 this Saturday.

I would go now, and I think he would too. It is Suz that doesn't want to switch away from DCL.

She hears one story from someone that was on one ship of a cruise line that has over 2 dozen ships, and the won't go on any cruise by that company. Mostly she hears things about Carnival, and I do have to say, I wouldn't sail them. But RCCL and NCL I would have no problems sailing on.

I think she is just too set in the DCL way.

To me it seems to be getting a little redundant on DCL. The food seems to be the same every time and I like to try different things. The problem being, on some of the menus, there are only 2 things I'd want.

But back to your original question, I think we're getting to the point to try the other lines.

Jeff

Wow...what a lot of chatter. Empty vessels comes to mind.

Hope everyone is having a good evening/afternoon. We're getting ready for snow fall tonight. Why is it that when we get snow the whole contry grinds to a halt. Not as if we haven't had it before.

Someone, a few pages ago, mentioned scores on the doors...haven't heard that in years. It was a catch phrase from a game show.

Linda - don't leave us now, you won't enjoy yourself as much.

Can someone send me a PM with the Yahoo details as I think my Hotmail account is deleting incoming mail.

Anyway, have a good evening everone - Heather:cheer2: :cheer2:

Its really cold here, as Heather said "The UK is getting ready for snow " !!! you should see the queue at the supermeraket for petrol !!! Honest, if we have a heat wave ( 3 days on the trot of sun ) we cant cope and have a hosepipe ban. NOW.... there MIGHt be 5cms of snow in wiltshire and there is talk of not getting to school or work !!:rotfl2:
Im showing my age, but when I was a kid, my mum put me in wellies and hat coat scarft etc and we walked the 3 miles to school !:lmao:

Jeff, I can really see you and your son loving Freedom or Liberty. Perhaps we will keep in touch after the Oct cruise ( I hope) and when we do the Freedom in 08, I'll do you a trip report, and try and answer any questions in particular your wife may have.

As I said I do enjoy Disney, but I LOVE the thrill of exploring something/ someplace new. Technology etc has moved on so much, I dont think as a family we would enjoy doing the same type of holiday each year. Just MHO. Anyway, Wayne and I have already got a bet on regarding the Flow rider.................. about if I would even be able to stand on the surf board or not. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I WILL win, even if I have cheat, and get surfing lessons!!;)

Hi Brenda yes it is the same.

Its crazy. For the last 11 months, we cant use our garden hose to clean the car, windows or water the garden. Today the ban was lifted.............. just as we are expecting snow ????:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Isn't 5 cm only 2 inches?

We won't even close school around here until we get past 5 inches. I think the last time we closed school for snow was the beginning of December when we got around 10 inches or more (25 cm).

Sounds like when states like KY, TN or even GA get snow. 1 inch shuts them down.

People need to learn how to drive in the snow.

Why is there a ban? Are you guys in the middle of a drought?

In our neck of the woods that's usually a summer / fall problem but it's rare that they ban excess water use (sprinklers, hoses, swimming pools...). I'm not sure anyone here would pay attention even if there was a ban - we Americans simply must have a lush, green yard!

At my old house we were on city water. The fall, winter and spring quarters we only had $90 water bills. In the summer it jumped to $350-$400. :scared1:

But I'll tell you, I had the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. Not to mention that my one neighbor never watered so it was a brown/green line at the lot line. And yes, it was a line. I would set my sprinkler up so it would go right to the line. Didn't like that neighbor. Anything to get under their skin.

Now we are on our own well. If it browns, it browns. I'm not watering.
