I think we have changed our minds about the western cruise, i think we are leaning more to the eastern cruise,
good thing we have not booked yet, The western cruise makes a stop in Key West, right? If so, i think we will go for eastern, living so close to Key West we really dont need to spend a day there.

Hey, I was reading out on the main cruise board about some of the prices for just the Mexican Riviera back in '05 and it seems like that was pretty pricey.

If that holds true and given the huge interest in the EB repo, I don't think that is going to be happening for us.

Someone posted that they paid $5,100 for 2A and 2C for a Cat 9 for the 7 days. Granted we only have one C, but it would probably have been around $4,500. Double that for the double length and we'd be looking at $9,000 for the 3 of us in a Cat 9.

We want a Cat 8, so this may be much pricier than I thought. I was hoping to get into a Cat 8 for around 6K-6.5K.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to sail with you guys.

What you could do is use that day as an extra sea day. Stay on the boat and enjoy empty pools.

By doing that, you only need to decide if you want to go to Grand Cayman and Cozumel or St. Maarten and St. Thomas.

We've done both and both have their plusses.

As much as I love Disney, I feel like they've really started pinching pennies and in turn really nickel and diming us all to death.

To that end, I just read on the main board that they have discountinued the Unlimited Package for the internet. Now I haven't read the whole thread and it does start out talking about the Wonder, but near the end it sounded like all cruises were discontinued. I know they had the unlimited last week while we were on the ship and it was $89.99. Not sure if this week had it or not or if the 1/27 sailing will be the first to drop it.

Oh, and another penny pinching item, they changed the packages for the pictures in Shutters.

I have to go back and see what the packages were, but I know it wasn't the same pricing. They may have changed the contents too.

I took a picture of the price sheet too so I could reference it.

Thank God for digital cameras. You can use them when your memory fails.

Look out, I'm on a posting rampage again.

Too bad Nancy, Brenda and Dizzi interupted me. I might have owned another page. :rotfl:

Ok Mr page 135, I'm on top now !!!!:lmao:

Wow that sounded saucy!;) must be thinking of the fetching picture of the lime green bathing suit again :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Dizzi stay with us............... you know you want to............:goodvibes

We didnt buy anything at shutters too expensive and the wrong size pictures. We only wanted a formal picture with minnie and Elouise, but they would only sell it too large for the frame she wanted.... oh well no sale then !

I hope they are getting the "no sale" a lot. The picture sizes are not what the people want. And all they are doing is adding boarders. They need to get the ship on the "photopass" system. I honestly think that people would buy more pictures if they could pick and choose and get the sizes they really want.

This post now makes 30 for the day. So you may now refer to me as "Mr. Page 135" or "Mr 2-Pager" (kinda like a double fisted drinker :drinking1 :drinking1 ).

As for being on top and that green swimsuit, I don't want that thing anywhere near me. Top, bottom or otherwise. :scared1:

That picture of Borat, IMHO, does not qualify as pornography.

But I do think it works really well as an appetite suppressant. :lmao: :rotfl2:

I had a horrible, nasty, rotten week. I really want to go to Disney because it really changes my attitude. Please let October happen soon

okay now that the pitty party is over I paid more on the cruise today, everyday a little closer to paying off and booking my excurssions. Do they really let you pick out your dinin rotation? I wanted APL last time and did not get it I would love to get it this time. We are doing early seating and that would be great.

Hi Judy - sorry to hear you've had a bad week. Hopefully things will start looking up now that the weekend is here.

As far as I know DCL doesn't let you pick the time you want for dining other than specifying early or late seating. However, since each seating is now split into three different start times each 15 minutes apart you can certainly request a specific one and keep your fingers crossed that you get it.

Jeff can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think early seating is now 5:30, 5:45, or 6PM while late is 8PM, 8:15, or 8:30.

For what it's worth the couple of times that we've made specific rotation / dining requests we've always had success. But I also make a point of calling DCL directly (I hate relying on someone else to tie up my loose threads).

Make the request for what you want - you've got nothing to lose!

I checked back to the thread I was looking at and someone posted what they got for the EB Repo on the day the cruises were released last time.

They booked a Cat 8, which is what we are looking at, and they paid $2,311 per adult and $1,061 per child. That would work out to $5,683 for us. I think with the increases in prices, we may actually get this thing done for $6,000-$6,500. :cool1:

Brenda,

You are correct on the dining times.

And Yes, the requests are only that, requests. Nothing is guaranteed. That is why it is important to get what you want with regards to early and late seating. That is the only thing that is guaranteed.

We have always done our requests directly with DCL. I'm not sure if you can make that request once a TA has your ressie.

We also ask for a 4 top table as well because we don't want table mates. (very bad experience our first cruise - although I think I'd have a blast with anyone on this thread. We may have to rethink our request.)

Jeff

Good morning everyone:banana:

Well, I got a reply off Disney.... basically they have said:

1. They will guarantee we are on a table on our own in the dining room cos of Ellis' allergy.

2. They will guarantee my choice of dining time and rotation and a personal chef to cook anything we want onboard "nut-free"

3. They will gauranatee we get a free upgrade to a stateroom with a veranda from our original cat 11.

wait....whats happening..... on no it was all a dream:sad:

ok...so I lied:rolleyes1 ...... except for 1. They have said they dont know rotations til the day of sail and wait til we get to the cabin to find out.

Ok, so who fell for it?:confused3 ........no-one?

You had me Karen,i was going to ask you to task "your" chef to make me a huge well done, with no fat Bacon buttie and have him bring it to deck 10 along with a pint pot of Tea with 2 sweeteners......:lmao:
