But then again, it may not be important and just more blah, blah, blah from Jeff.

So is this like everyone's excercise routine in the morning?

Just 3 more to go. I can do it.

Can you tell I am having a hard day at work today?

I actually did have a very important meeting early this morning and have a lot of work since last week, but hey, it's Friday. :woohoo:

O.K., back to a meaningful post.

I owe you guys some trip reports, but I'm waiting until I get my pictures uploaded. Hopefully this weekend.

But I do want to tell you we got a whole lot of stuff for our Castaway Club gift. At first we thought it was just a beach bag, but it was PACKED with stuff.

I will tell you more about it when I can post pictures of the items.

O.K., back to meaningless stuff.

If my calculations are correct, this post should be the end of Page 135.

I know own this page.

Good evening Chris :)

Jeff are you having a funny turn :confused3 now tell us more about this PACKED beach bag, i LIKE this idea alot ! :)

Edited to ask, anyone know what this BIG announcement is??? The time count down thing has gone on the web site here, but there is no news ??? It cant be the toy story thing and the on line stuff in the hotel. Thats hardly BIG news ????

Good evening Chris :)

Jeff are you having a funny turn :confused3 now tell us more about this PACKED brach bag, i LIKE this idea alot ! :)

Where would I go with a "brach" bag?

Oh, did you mean "beach" bag?

Well let me tell you what there was........

(after these commercials):rotfl2:

Seriously though, I will have to wait until I get home tonight and look at the pictures again. There was so much stuff I will no doubtedly (is that a word?) forget something.

I can tell you that there were two mesh bags inside the canvas bag to take to the beach.

There had to be at least 15-20 things inside this bag.

Jeff you were toooo quick for me, and picked up on my typing error... .I did edit, but you were tooo quick :lmao:

I THINK I can type and spell, but seriously I cant do either that well !!:rotfl2:

Karen,

You can tell Ellis that if we are on the cruise, our DS will be 7 1/2 (he turns 7 next month on the 10th).

But I will tell you, I picked him up a couple of times from the club and he was playing with the girls (by his choice). Guess he's just like good 'ol dad, going to the clubs to play with the girls. :rotfl2: (honestly, I'm not the club/bar type)

Jeff

Great - I'll let Ellis know. They can party with the girls together:rotfl:

By the way - not all of us are repeat cruisers so easy on the boasting about your beach bag ok:lmao: I might just get jealous

And to think that if I go in October........

I GET TWO THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!

Nah nah, na nah nah. :lmao:

Oh sure... stop posting now that I can join the fun... :sad2:

I heard that the Castaway Club gift has all sorts of DCL stuff in it...pens, paper, cups, tote bag...

I'm just wondering if they are going to change it again towards the end of the summer - lately it seems like they change it every year. We got a really nice Castaway Club tote bag when we sailed in 2005.

I actually liked those frozen green drinks at the Castaway Club reception better! ;)

Hi Brenda - just nipped back on:wave2:

I log in in the morning and dont log out til the pc gets shutdown at night, but I dont stay on the dis all day................. honest:rolleyes1

I have seen those club bags on ebay:idea: - might just buy one so I look like the rest of you!:lmao: At least I'll be able to pretend I'm "in the club"

I actually liked those frozen green drinks at the Castaway Club reception better! ;)

Well let me tell you, they changed that reception and we don't like the change. They make it sound like this big game that they have for the CC members.

What use to be the nice spread with drinks in the afternoon is now at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Furthermore, no big spread anymore. You get a Mickey Rice Krispie Treat on a stick (covered in chocolate if you like). I don't even remember if we got anything to drink.

They give you this little contest card (I'll have to dig that out when I get home to post the questions it asks) with a piece you can detach and put in for a drawing. It is suppose to make you get to know your fellow CC members as well as some of the officers.

Well, not knowing this was going to be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, we booked Palo for 10:30 that day. (we figured we'd have the character breakfast on Sunday or Thursday depending on the rotation we'd get. Monday character would mean you're on PAL and we figured we wouldn't get that one.) So when we found out that the reception got moved, and knowing how much we liked the last one, we did what we could to make the reception (moved Palo to 11:30). We sat in the reception and said to each other how we didn't like the changes, left to go to brunch at Palo. I will tell you, I do not like the 11:30 Palo brunch. They are cleaning up and getting ready for dinner by the time you're done. I'll have to make sure we get 10:30 next time.

When we asked if they were going to have the usual reception, they said no, this is it. They said this is what the CC members requested in their feed back - to get to know the other members and the officers.

Well let me tell you, I don't think the members wanted to give up the spread and 11:00 a.m. is an awful time to do it on a sea day.

If it doesn't change, we will not attend next time.

Just my two cents.

Wow - that is really disappointing to hear about the CC reception, and I have to agree with you Jeff, I don't think that's the feedback DCL was getting from return cruisers.

Everyone we talked to loved that reception.

I hate to be a negative nelly (but I will because it just comes naturally - ;) ) but I think it's a cost issue for DCL. The one we went to in 2005 was packed and I've been told that since so many of DCL's customers are repeat cruisers that they were splitting the reception into two different ones to try to accomodate everyone.

As much as I love Disney, I feel like they've really started pinching pennies and in turn really nickel and diming us all to death.

Look at what's happend at WDW - all the restaurants are starting to have the same menu (with some slight variation) and now they are streamlining the menu offerings at a lot of the resort bars. Half the fun of going to some of those little bars was the variety - for example, Martha's Vinyard used to serve some really unique martinis and now they're off the menu. If you're lucky and the bartender has been around a while you can still ask for one of the signature drinks, but otherwise it's turning into a carbon copy world.

Sorry - got a little off topic there. BTW, Jeff...I owe you some more words (had a domestic crisis last night) and they will be on their way this evening.

I hear you on the pinching pennies. Let's see a Mickey Rice Krispie or tons of Shrimp, Cheese, Poppers, other warm items, cold items, fruit, a nice ice sculpture, etc. :confused3 I think I only want the Rice Krispie.

I guarantee you this is NOT what the CC members wanted. And again, what is with 11:00 a.m. on a sea day? Go for 4:00 like it was before. You are taking people away from the pools at that time.

They have the officers walking around so you can get to know them, but none of them looked like they wanted to be there.

That reminds me of the night we had pictures with the Captain. After he was done, he, his officers and an unidentified woman, came to dinner and were seated right next to our table. Suz overheard the Captain stating that he's been smiling for 2 hours and it felt like 100. Sorry buddy, if you can't take two hours to pose for the pictures, then don't do it. Therefore, I ask everyone to get your pictures taken with him whether you are going to purchase it or not.

Sorry, went a little off topic there at the end (but it would have been in my trip report. Honestly. Oh, and I am getting to that sooner or later. :rolleyes1 )

BTW, Jeff...I owe you some more words (had a domestic crisis last night) and they will be on their way this evening.

No problem Brenda. I really appreciate that you're doing this for me. I thought of something else and was going to pm you, but I forgot it already.

Oh well. Guess I'm getting old like Nancy. I'm no lady though. But I can be dirty. :rotfl2:
