trying to get caught up after the holidays. our dd didnt make it home for holidays with work and college. she finally got time off and came home this past weekend. she wanted us to leave the decorations up for her so we did.
i told robin we have to get this tree down soon or its going to become a groundhog day tree.
it was really different around here. first time without our baby for the holidays(shes 19). last christmas we all went to wdw so we kept saying....last year at this time we were in disney world.

Are any UK cruisers having their Hep and Tetnus ( sp? ) jabs before they cruise???

Hi Lindy - I agree with Karen. You won't be on land that long, so unless you intend going tracking in the wilds, you should be OK. I also have a thing about needles - so unless someone invents an injection without needles - I take my chance. But saying that, if we were going to be somewhere for several days and jabs were recommended, then I would have to pluck up my courage.

Let us know what the Doc says.

This is good old England................. !!!!

I phone the doctors surgery, to ask about the jab, cant get through for about 8 attempts!!!!

I then get a reply, well an answer phone. so I leave a message. No one called back yesterday. So today I ring again, and again I leave a message as requested. A receptionist then calls me back at 4.30pm today to tell me, they arent sure if we need the jab or not. But when I come in to collect my contraceptive pill ( in 4 months time!!) to discuss it then !


WHAT!!!!!?????????

so off to look on the internet for information.

Now if I was seriously ill, i would be wanting a second opinion for sure!

It's FREAKING cold now. With the windchill, it is now -35 Celcius!!!!! Let me clear that up for you Farenheit folks....that's -32 F!!!!!!! BBRRRR

O.K. it's 10:10 p.m. my time and I fly tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. Guess it is time to start packing. Well, I'm kind of there, I laid everything out. Suz packed while she was off today.

I'll check in at least one more time before I leave.

Well, I didn't get around to packing until about 10:50, but was done and suitcases in the truck by midnight. Alarm is going off in about 5 hours and we're on our way to the airport by 5:50 a.m. (getting there at 6:30 for our 8:30 flight).

Not sure if I'll log on in the morning or not, but if I don't, everyone in the upper parts of the midwest (and Canada) stay warm. Looks like winter temps are finally coming in.

Not sure if I'll post while on board, so talk to you on the 21st.

Can't sleep again. Not sure if I'm like the kid in the commercial "I'm too excited to sleep" or if was the two Diet Pepsi's I had with dinner. I usually drink caffeine (sp?) free soda after 6:00.

Went to Applebee's for dinner. Man, have they gone down hill. Neither Suz nor I were pleased with the food.

Then to top the night off, I didn't take my phone with me and when I went to pack it tonight, I see I missed a call. Come to find out that my new glasses came in today. I didn't retrieve the message until after LensCrafters was closed. The kicker is that I called late this morning and the lady told me they weren't in and they already had their shipment for the day. Want to bet she only looked in the "done" area and didn't check with the techs?

Anyhow, I'm bummed I didn't get the message in time. This is my first pair with the auto tinting. That would have made it easy on the ship. Instead I'll have to switch from my prescription sunglass to normal glasses and back.

Oh well, can't complain too much.

I booked La and Vegas for Waynes 30th Birthday pressie ( pre Elouise!) we had a great time. Though yes the flight was long.... yuck !!
We liked LA, however feel in love with Vegas. Guess its a place you either love or hate. It was so vibrant and exciting, and I love people watching and its the best place in the world for that!! My heart rate goes up just walking into a casino. and the shops.............................argh, your ladies would love them.......( your credit cards might not though )

B%^&*^%S i just wrote back and it got zapped....done vegas and loved the place (couple of days at a time )we did a west coast tour,me and a mate in 2004 and were now in the middle of sorting a tour of china for sometime in 2008 it should have been this year but what with getting the "mickey" calling and his daughter getting married abroad thiers a limit to what pixie dust can achieve....

It's 5:30, the truck is warming up and we leave shortly. A 2 1/2 hour flight to Tampa and then 1 1/2 hours in the car to WDW and we're there by 2:00 p.m. local time. Hoop Dee Doo tonight at 5:00. And me in bed by 8:00. Parks tomorrow and Magic on Saturday.

I got a total of 1 hour of constant sleep last night, errr this morning. Suz said I'm worse than a kid. Guess this is why we didn't tell DS we're going. She is waking him up right now. I can hear him asking questions as I type. Very cute.

That conversation with DS must have been priceless. You s/h/b recording it rather than talking to us sleepy heads.

Hope you are all keeping warm...its absolutely chucking it down here and very windy but much warmer than where you are.

Well, been to the gym again today - we tried our first box aerobics class - hard but fun. Similar to Tae-bo so I sort of did ok

Housework is at a standstill since we joined - dont have time to do both so I just gym .

How is everyone else doing? Still eating healthy too, although I confess to a chilli chocoalte truffle last night and a large glass of merlot.

Havent heard off Medicalman for a while - wonder if he's booked his flights yet? Either that or he's set off in a dinghy and started rowing - it would take about 9 months so hopefully he'll just make the ship - Sean - get booking or Cath will kill you soon.

Cass, more piccies of Baby Kira please - I need regular doses of those cheeks!

My friends little baby Jack is now 3 weeks old, but has had a bad cold and chest for 2 of them poor little thing. My friend has barely slept in 3 weeks.

Ellis had a bit of a panic attack last night...I was brushing his teeth for bed when I noticed a tooth beginning to come through behind one of his baby teeth....well, I told him and he burst into tears. He's scared it will hurt when the other one falls out. Chances are he will be a real gappy mouth in October I'll have to tell him to smile with his mouth closed on photos

Made another cruise payment today. Just 6 more to go, and we'll be paid in full! Woo-hoo!!! Man, the credit card company will be so sad to see that!

Just figured out that our day to make some dinner ressies at WDW before the cruise is April 21. So, we have to get crackin' on what parks we'll hit before we sail. Probably MK & Epcot.

Steve - any luck on the potty training? Our DD practically laughs in our faces when we even mention it. Sigh. We're not sure she'll be ready for the Kid's Club when we go. She's just not interested in using the toilet.
