Hi everyone!

I survived and have learned that no two procedures performed on the same person ever turn out the same way.

I got to come home late yesterday afternoon and wowser...do I ever hurt. This turned into a very extensive laparoscopy and four massive endometrial cysts later I am 70% light of my left ovary and 50% light of the right. Everything else looked good according to my doctor and we're hoping that this will provide some serious relief.

Looks like I get a two week hiatus from work. And three weeks after that it will be time for the mouse! I'm so glad that we don't have to cancel our trip now. :sunny:

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes. Between you guys, my dear Jason, and some very strong percocet life is pretty darn good. Throw in a Disney Cruise or a trip to WDW, and things just can't get much better, can they?

You guys are great. :grouphug:

Brenda

Brenda,

Glad to hear everything is alright!! I hope you are feeling better soon. Hmm, percocet....never had it, but right about now, it sounds mahhhhvellous!!

Hope the recouperation goes well and that you will be back on your feet in prime condition for your trip!! And if you are feeling alright, when you get back I expect your trip report to be VERY LONG and full of PICTURES. And of course, since you are such an artiste :artist: with words, I shall be fully entertained and hopefully that shall get me through some tough times ahead!

Linda,

How cute is that photo!!!! pirate: What a great pirate Elouise makes!!! I am just so excited for you guys for your upcoming trip!!! I can't wait to read about it!! I wish I could beam myself onto Main Street for MNSSHP just so I could watch and listen to Hallowishes again!! Okay, I am a little jealous now thinking of you watching Hallowishes soon!! :p :badpc:

Off to go watch my Hallowishes video from last year....boy do I need a Disney fix right about now! ;)

Brenda, glad you are feeling a little better, and so much more positive for your up coming trip to the world!

Guess what, I have another pin, from Cardiff ( Wales) my work colleague got it for me as a surprise for you, when she went on a course there this week. Its in a shape of a rugby ball !!! (Rugby is VERY popular in Wales!)
I will post a picture of it soon. Been to a wedding reception tonight, its nearly 1am here, off to work at 7am tomorrow! Yikes!

Poohbush, glad you think im sweet, for getting the pins :teeth: , hope I live up to your expectations, when we meet!!! True be known, im having alot of fun, collecting these pins for Brenda.

Timon, sorry you are not coming with us this Oct, however you arer growng a baby !!! and thats VERY VERY important..... :sunny: WDW will still be there for you next year. I would offer to send a post card, but that might be rubbing things in a bit. At least you have been to MNSSHP, it will be our first time.

Take care, all................ Linda Xxxx

Hooray Brenda! :goodvibes Glad to hear things went well. :woohoo:

Cass - hang in there! Baby Kira will be soooo worth the skipped trip this year! Just keep watching the videos and playing cds. At some point, the baby can hear sounds too. Nothing like Disney ambiance sounds! You'll have her already singing along the 1st time she goes to Disneyworld! When is your due date? Sometime in Jan 07?

hi timon..and gang. we are thinking of changing our cruise from april to oct 2007 and joining you. robin is about to start a new job and doesnt think shell be able to get time off in april. so we may reschedule. she doesnt start for a couple weeks so instead of going to wdw in oct we are leaving this friday. talk about a quickly put together trip!! we will be going to halloween party on the 22nd.
also, we had our first grandchild on sept.4th. a girl,, named addison. it is so great having a baby around again. cant wait to take her to wdw someday.
we know you and rob have to be getting excited about yours. good luck and we will keep you postedabout our cruise plans. maybe we can try parasailing again.

Dyerneeds!! Yay!! That would be so cool if you ended up on this cruise with us!! Let me know when you decide for sure and I can put you up on the Who's Going Page!! I already have a great photo of you two on pirate night too!! :rolleyes1 Congrats on your first grandchild Addison!! :cool1: She shares her birthday with my nephew! And you're going back to WDW this Friday, how cool!! Well, have a great time, enjoy MNSSHP again! Let us know if Hallowishes is the same or if they changed it up a bit. And we will be trying to do the parasailing again on CC, it will be either the first or second sailing as Flounders is only open in the morning on CC day.

Poohbush,

I listen to Disney music almost all day long on Live365, so she has heard so much Disney music, I think she may come out humming a Disney tune :rolleyes1 My due date is December 1st, I am in my 28th week now, so not long now I guess.

Lindy Loo,

I know, I am VERY grateful that we've been to WDW several times in the past few years and that we got to see MNSHHP in 2003 and 2005. But as the saying goes, you can never be too rich or too thin or go to WDW too many times!! :lmao:
You are gonna LOVE MNSSHP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pirate:

Timon, thats such a cool and very true saying " You can never be too rich, too thin, or go to WDW enough :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Love it !!! :thumbsup2

Hope you are feeling OK? I was very sick with Elouise and in and out of hospital alot. However I had a simple and short ( in comparasion) birth. ( Thank God)

We are sooo excited about MNSSHP. Elouise wants to see Gaston, Malificent, and Cinderellas coach, the most! along with the fireworks, parade, trick and treating etc etc :lmao: I have left the 26th "free" on my plan as i think we may go twice ???
Would love to hear any reports back, or hint and tips please?

Nancy, did you get anything through the post from the UK ?????

Deyerneeds Hi  , hope you can join us crazy lot. :woohoo: congratulations on the grand child, what a lovely name

Brenda, hope you are feeling a bit better???? Remember to relax and get well, you are at the world soon :)

Take care all............ Linda x

Remembering the victims of 9/11 today.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just hope everyone takes a bit of time out today to remember all the innocent victims of the 9/11 attacks, both the deceased and their families and friends.

The terrible pictures of that tragedy are still as shocking today as they were when it happened.
RIP.

Hi Everyone,

Well, I have just ploughed my way through the first 30 pages of this thread and after all that reading I feel like this  !

My name is Karen and we're hopefully going to join your cruise

Still waiting for final prices etc for the travel agent and then need to book it but its looking promising so far :cool1:

We'll be in the cheap seats - cat 11, but I dont care - hey I'm only sleeping there right?

There will be 3 of us travelling, myself (will be just turned 40 :sad2: ), hubby Neil (38) and son Ellis who will be just 7. We're from Birmingham, UK.

I have a truck load full of questions but they can wait a while....just wanted to say hello and can we please join your merry party? :yay:

bye for now :wave2:

Hi Karen Mouse - welcome to our "merry" little group. I saw your posting out on the main cruise discussion page. I was going to invite you here, but didn't want to seem too pushy! If you come, you'll be our 3rd UK family of cruisers.

We started our vacation countdown chain today (not for the cruise yet though!) Katie's so excited! I am too! DH won't admit it, but he does ask me daily "How many more days?" :rotfl:

Hi Karen :welcome: hope you can make our cruise.................. it looks like a fun one ! :cool1:

Im Linda (will be 40 by then sh!) Traveling with my husband Wayne 36, and Elouise who will be 5. We live in Swindon ,Wiltshire UK.

This will be our second cruise ( first one in 6 weeks time! :sunny: ) thats only a "warm up one" 4 nights................ in preparation for the "biggie" next year :teeth:

Hi Poohbush and Lindy Loo :wave2:

Thanks for the warm welcome

I only came across this "meet" forum by accident! - didnt know it was here  Pooh - you wouldnt have been pushy - just very friendly and welcoming!

Everyone is so friendly - it seems a great place

Lindy - I'm looking forward to your return form your first cruise - lots of tips please. Will your daughter be trying the kids club? My son will have just turned 7 so they will be in the same group. He's quite a quiet boy so they might become friends. We have quite a lot in common :goodvibes - turning 40 (- shhhh), toy boy hubbys! and a child of similar age.

bye for now :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Karen, how cool yes we do have a lot in common. :thumbsup2 It would be nice to make friends with everyone.

On the cruise thread for this Oct, I really feel I know my table mates very well now,and its really adding to the excitement. Before I was a bit worried about who we might be put with, and if we would get on. We are in Florida for 21 days, so its nice to have tables mates for those 4 nights. We are all crazy, so it will be fun!
We are all dressing up for pirate: pirates pirate: night. Im bringing small gifts ( cadburys choc and England stuff) I know from PMs that others are treating Elouise to small gifts, which is mega kind. I have glow sticks and chic coins and a pirate dec for the table, for us all. Thank god we fly with Virgin and still have the biggest baggage allowance.... next year its decreased ( we have 2x 32kg per person this year, down to 2x 23kgs per person next) still alot but I do go mad shopping ! :)

I will check out everything I can and report back. Yes Elouise is really looking forward to the club, shes seen it on the planner DVD that Jules my table mate sent us. The club looks great fun. We are doing second sitting, so we can see the show as a family and then she can either choose to eat with us, or go to the club. ( I think the dinner can be over an hour, and im not sure how bored she will get!)

Before I go, just ask if there is anything in particular we want me to take photos of or find out!

now hurry up and get booked, so you can get excited with us! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Are you doing the formal night? If so how do you manage to fit a tux and posh dress in your cases aswell as everything else? :confused3
Hubby is not into dressing up and neither of us can tie a bow tie  - it would have to be one on elastic like you get for kids :rotfl: He normally wears 3/4 length casual trousers or long shorts and a casual shirt when we're on holiday. The thought of a tie puts him off.

Pirate accessories can be small, a pirate t shirt and a head scarf, eye patch etc and it sounds like fun. pirate:

I havent had time to study restaurants or ship layout etc yet. I spend half my life on this site at the minute :happytv: - it certainly is addictive :cool1:
My ironing pile is growing and housework has ground to a halt

byeeeee :wave2:

Hi Karen Mouse, welcome aboard!

I don't know if this will help you with your formal night question, but on our past two 7-night cruises I had my hubby order a tux from cruiseline formalwear and they delivered to the stateroom on departure day.

I carried all of my dresses in a garment bag on the airline rather than checking it and running the risk of something getting ruined.

Of course, it's easier for us because we don't have kids and my DH will dress up for dinner if I ask him nicely. :teeth: I love having professional pictures of the two of us all spruce-goose since it doesn't happen very often.

Linda - did you say cadbury chocolate??? Are you trying to turn yourself into my personal European shopper or something? :teeth: :lmao:

If you are a fan of chocolate I'd be willing to perform an exchange at sea...your cadburys for some of St. Louis' finest: Bissinger's!! If you ask me (and I'm a self proclaimed expert in this area) Bissinger's is some of the best chocolate I've ever had.

Cass, I hope you're feeling better. Your comment about my WDW trip report has been duly noted. I've already started taking notes about things I want to keep an eye out for and I have a couple of funny "pre-trip" background stories about my parents.

As for the percocet...it's just another version of oxycodone but I think it must be stronger, that, or it just affects me differently. I've tried all sorts in the last year or so...vicodin, darvocet...and another one that I can't remember. Too many drugs, I guess. ;)

I must be feeling better - I'm already startomg to get stir-crazy.

PS. Linda, thanks for posting the link to the Cardiff pin. It's way cool! Jason can't wait to get his hands on it! :goodvibes

Karen Mouse,

:welcome: Don't worry, you will have plenty of time to get the lay of the land, so to speak as well as ask all your questions! We are all here to help if you need it! Ask away!! In the meantime, here a website I made for all of us with some useful links etc....http://www.cassworld.ca/dcl2007-home.htm

Normally hubby packs his suit and two shirts/ties and he blends in just fine, you don't NEED a tux. However, I think since this trip we will have a baby, I think I will rent him a tux like Brenda was mentioning, that way we have more room for baby stuff since we will be in WDW for about 10 days prior to the cruise.

Brenda,

Yes, I hear ya about being stir crazy! I am home most days just 'cus I don't feel so good. Other than walking the puppies and getting groceries and Dr's appts, I have been stuck at home since about April now. Which is why I am whining so much about going back to WDW  Hopefully you can hang on until your trip, nothing like going to Disney to beat any kind of blues :rolleyes1

Only 392 more days till we leave for Disney!!!!! :wizard: :lmao:

Karen, we wont be taking a tux or a major formal dress. It will take up too much room in our cases, for just one night out of 17.
Whilst I like the idea of a formal picture etc , I think we might just skip formal night, and have a relaxing buffet night. Not tooo sure yet, but this is what we think so far.

Linda x

Hi Kids!! Well 5 pages and 12 days later, I'm back. Sorry gang...just a little preoccupied lately.

Let's see now, what have I missed??

Has Kira been born yet? :confused3 :lmao: What's this noise about Oct 07 drydock? :furious: Have I welcomed Fat English Gent? :wave2: Jeff fell as silent as I did :cat: (must be a Wisconsin thing), Linda has her airline tickets, her hotel ressies, and she's bringing chocolate (ok...now I'm "chuffed" :teeth: ) :cheer2: Brenda has become a whole person again with the help of my drug of choice  (Mochaccino's or Percocet...you pick), Another welcome to Karen and Dyerneeds!! :wave2:

Have I forgotten anything or anyone?

Whew..that was alot to catch up on. Thanks for keeping it simple :yay: .

So now that I checked in, I'm about to exit again for a few days. Chuck and I are packing it up and heading out for a loooooong weekend. :dance3: Besides Thanksgiving weekend where I get ALL my Christmas shopping done, this upcoming weekend is one of my favorites. It's a 22 year long tradition which we spent with other couples (no kids allowed) at a resort. It started with 8 couples which has dwindled down to just the two of us (everyone else divorced :guilty: ). I'm all excited (or is the word chuffed?) for the weekend.

Talk to you all soon!!
Nancy :wave2:
