Nancy,

those door signs are awesome!! I'd forgotten how cool they were!

I wanna have multiple and varied door signs to dazzle my fellow cruisers and confuse my parents! Can I? Can I? Can I?

Someone 'splain to me how it's done...if I have twelve months to work in I just might be able to figure it out by the time the Magic pulls out of Port Canaveral next October. ;)

Jason and I came across this door decoration on last year's cruise when we were tagging someone. Pretty cool, huh?

And this is what we received for our romantic turn-down in 2004 with the REAS package that we had. Isn't this fun? :goodvibes

Nancy,

Those are great door signs! Love the old photo of you two!!

Brenda,

Nice formal pic!! You guys clean up nice! :groom:

This is our door magnet from our last cruise.

and here's a pic of it on our door (right after Rob eating too much at dinner  )

I plan on doing a few of them for this cruise plus adding the Mickey Ears. I just made some magnetic Mickey Ears for my friends that were on the Magic this past week as well as their names in nautical flags.

I tried looking for the thread that had the mickey ears and nautical flags posted but I can't seem to find it.

I will post the jpg when I get the chance.

The door signs are easy to make, you can make them in any kind of design program. You just add the clipart you want or photos and add some text. You can print them on magnetic paper, which is what I do or regular paper and put some magnetic backings on it.

When I get some time I will try to come up with some designs for our cruise and post them here for you so you can download them and use them on your own door designs.

BUT! I think we may need a theme/name for our cruising group :rolleyes1

Ideas anyone??? Bueller? Bueller?

Here's the ears and nautical flags that someone else did on the DIS, sorry can't find the original thread :(

Just right click on each image and then save to your computer. The ears are the right size for the round door sign on the stateroom doors so don't resize them. Print them out on magnetic paper and then cut the ears out and stick on the rounded part of your door (where the stateroom door # is) and voila! Hidden Mickey :)

The nautical flags are a little trickier. I cropped around each letter and made flags for each letter in their first names and then just printed on magnetic paper. Not sure what they did with them, I suggested they get the kids to cut out each letter and stick them on the door.

Brenda - Wow - lovely piccie of you two on formal night.

I dont think my door signs are gonna be up to much but I've printed the mickey ears :thumbsup2 I have never hesard of magnetic paper :confused3 - I wonder if they have it in England? - I'll be on the hunt for it now - something else to add to the list :rotfl:

Happy Sunday to everyone :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

You just gotta love the "Big 70's Hair" huh??? :lmao:

Hey Jo, Chuck and I were talking about you two yesterday and your awesome Pirate Night costumes (although I believe Danny got into character all too easily). Hmmmm, I wonder what Danny may have been in a previous life? pirate:

Chuck asked if any kids (or wenches)wanted to pose in a picture with him?

Brenda, great formal night picture. I don't think I ever saw that one. Very Nice!

Cass, What? Did I just read that you volunteered to come up with our cruise logo and door magnets? ( :lmao: ). And Brenda just volunteered to come up with our cruise name? (ahem, that's payback for making me 'splain the tag game :rotfl2: )

We also have to think of a way that we can identify ourselves in the terminal before the cruise. Brenda, no fair arriving late so you don't have to partake in this. Last year we all wore Mardi Gras Beads to identify us as The Molar Express which was last year's name.

I was told at work that I don't delegate enough! How did I do? :smokin:

Nice photo Brenda! :)
You mean to tell me you and Jason did other things besides the spa and the coffeeshop on the last cruise!! :thumbsup2

Cass, thanks for posting those flags and ears... I've got work to do!

Nancy, Oh my yes, Danny had a few fans that wanted him in their photos.
Plus, last year before MNSSHP, we dined at WCC in the Wilderness Lodge. We were in our costumes as we had to eat and then scoot over to the MK. Several times kids came up to the table or Mom and Dad brought little ones over for a photo op, and several times the servers brought kids over to our table. I think it got to his head. There were even better Jack Sparrows that night at the party! pirate:
But now that the MK and the cruiseline has their own Jack Sparrow, I think he'll be lonely!! :teeth:

Brenda, I remember that door decoration last cruise!
Here are a few more from the same cruise...

these folks had a working bubble blower on the door!

Dont forget to hit the gift shops onboard and let us know the sort of things they sell. I'm looking for a cute pirate t shirt for pirate night, and do they sell xmas baubles on board? - I collect disney xmas stuff (I have 4 xmas trees at home stuffed with disney ornaments!).

Happy hols :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Thanks everyone.

I'm actually quite emotional about it all. I'm a silly moo arent I ? :goodvibes
Just the build up and planning and well now its nearly here! I suppose its like how kids feel with the build up to Christmas, and then on the actual day, it wizzes so fast. I just want to s l o w down the days so I can really really enjoy the excitement.

Thank you everyone for wishing me a great trip, the dis is such a fantastic place to meet great people. :grouphug:

Karen, I will check things out for you, for sure ! Now hand lugguage restrictions are better, it will be easier to carry delicate items on board the plane, and not risk it in the case. There is so muh more decoration choice in the USa compaired to the UK.

Brenda, I will have a mochaccino for you :thumbsup2 or may be even two :rotfl2:

Nancy, I will certainly say Hi to Mickey for you, I might even get a little kiss off him, and make Minnie jelous :teeth:

Timon, hope you are feeling a bit better, look after your baby, keep her growing safe and stong

Linda xxx

Linda,

Quick!! Before you leave... do you have a preference for milk chocolate versus dark chocolate or are you a fan of both? Please let me know!!

Brenda :goodvibes

PS. Have many mochaccinos for me and for you!! :thumbsup2
