you dog lovers will get a kick out of it!!:rotfl2: :lmao:

ah come on guys!! someone has to ask robin to tell this story.
ill tell it if i have to, but its better coming from her!!:lmao:

I'm loving all the christmas trees and christmas villages. I really need to get the decorations up...perhaps this weekend.

i know walt and di had a verandah but not sure how they spent any time on it.:rolleyes1
i heard they partied hard in rockn bar d every nite.:woohoo:

I loved the verandah but we were not on it very much. We enjoyed it but I dont know if it is worth the money. Diane

My Mom gave them to Cassie a few years ago.

I love the story "A Christmas Carol"

Cassie's village. Since we downsized... we don't have a lot of room for it. We used to put it next to our fireplace in our previous home. It looked to nice there.

I loved your Christmas tree and village. I need to get to work and set mine up. It seems like I never have time and I dont even work. I have been going to therapy three times a week for my shoulder. That and doctor appts are keeping me busy plus the kids. I love Nancy's tree also. All you guys ornaments are great. Diane.

I have 1 sister and 2 brothers. Mike has 3 brothers and 1 sister. Then there is their kids. His sister and parents are the only ones that live around us. The others live all over the state. We always get together for nieces and nephews b-days and xmas though. We have a blast when we get together.

I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Sisters and one brother live in Mass by my mom and Dad. One brother lives in New Hampshire and other lives in Maryland. I get to see them twice a year and we have a great time together. Lots of nieces and nephews and brother and sister in laws. The ones that live in Mass see each other every Friday night at my mothers.

Walt has a brother who we see when we go see his mother and step dad in Lousiana. We go twice a year at least. Diane

I posted my 3 lb. gain  on the KK loser board this morning..

Thats why I'm starting after xmas:rolleyes1 - I'm heavier than I've ever been:scared1: - I've put more on since the cruise too:scared1: - My excuse is that we're too busy with diy and xmas to diet or get to the gym - ihate the thought of paying those gym fees though and not going:sad2:

Good morning everyone

I am feeling better then yesterday. My stomach is a little weird today but other then that I am feeling pretty good.

Mac made it through the night in her room   So the we are at 1. She is still full of energy but her cough sounds horrible. She has had no fever for over 24 hours, so off to school she goes. He nose is still playing tricks on us. One side is full of green gunk but the other side has nothing in it. So we will send her off to school and see if they send her home.

Glad you're feeling better Carrie - big hugs to Mac:hug:

Ok, it is officially the first week of December.....I AM READY FOR '09 DATES!!!!

Anybody with me?:goodvibes

Abso - blooming - lutely:banana: - bring 'em on - I wanna book:yay: :yay: then we can start the new thread:goodvibes

We booked our 2008 holiday yesterday - we're off to Greece again - one of the quiet resorts on one of the islands. Been before to the neighbouring resort and liked it so its within our budget and falls into Neils holiday allowance so I booked it.:cool1: Something to look forward to and a goal to lose weight for - (not that the cruise goal worked in October:rolleyes: )

We're draughtproofing the garage this morning - well....., Neil is doing it while I Dis:lmao:

Still waiting on the builders quote to see if he's doing it ££££ or we're doing it ourselves £££

Hows everyone doing for xmas?
My cards are written and posted.
All my prezzies are now wrapped, still gotta get a few, and some still to arrive in the post
I did a huge shop yesterday and got some of the xmas goodies and food in
so I'm doing quite well!
Ellis's tree is up but needs decorating and I have to plan for the party we've decided to throw for all the neighbours - we're inviting everybody - even people we've not met! - Its a nice christmasy way of saying hello - just more work for me though. I'm looking for REALLY easy buffet food. - suggestions?

I've already bought frozen ready made spring rolls, indian starter food, sausage rolls, pizza, garlic bread etc so they just need heating in the oven, I'll buy dips etc...what else? I dont want to overburden myself with preparing fancy stuff and I just want nibble food.

Oooooohhhh! - we've just seen a lovely new tv - 40" sony bravia! - might spend our money and buy it and s*d the plastering for a while:rolleyes1

It would be nice in the lounge then Ellis could have the other sony in the garage for the wii:banana: - just got to persuade Neil we can afford it (we cant really, but :confused3 )

Karen--this is straight out of a New Orleans restaurant....

BRANDY MILK PUNCH

2 c. sugar
2 c. water
2 qt. Milk
2 c. half & half
2 c. Brandy
Nutmeg

Combine sugar and water and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes. Cool. Chill at least 2 hours. Mix with remaining ingredients. Stir well. Sprinkle with nutmeg (either each glass or over entire punch bowl).

For just 1 or 2 servings: ½ c. sugar, ½ c. water, 1 pint milk, ½ cup half & half, ½ c. brandy, nutmeg.

Karen--this can be made ahead of time. Instead of seasoned salt you can do salt with red pepper. Don't be afraid to season it; once I mistakenly put what I thought was too much pepper, and that was the batch everyone loved the most!

Holiday Chex Mix

1 stick of butter
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
1 T. soy sauce
1 T. garlic powder
1 t. Tabasco
1 T. seasoned salt

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Cook all above ingredients on stove until blended well. Pour over Chex Mix, Cheese Nips, and pecans (or any snack foods you desire) on a cookie sheet or shallow baking pan. Coat well. Bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes. When done baking, place in paper bag and gently shake off excess seasoning.

Here is what is up so far:

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=22034154&postcount=1

By my calculation, since one of these "new" Easterns is on 10/10/09, 10/17 would be a Western. That leaves 10/24/09 open for either a "standard" Eastern or a Double Dip.

I haven't found anything else out yet. I will let you know when I do.

Not sure if the ressie lines are open for 2009 yet or not. The website doesn't have anything past 2008 at the current time.

Morning all!

My boss isn't in yet and I do all my work by fax and email. I can work and sit on hold for a while. I'm calling DCL....

Good morning everyone

Looks like everyone should be really happy that it is going to be an Eastern.
