October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

Sorry, but at least you got to do it this time! :thumbsup2 I don't think we would do it again next time. It's too short for $150!!! I'd be parking my large butt in a hammock in the shade on Serenity Bay

I have to agree. The stay at CC is too short as it is. I'd like to spend more time relaxing.

Mornin' Carrie! How are you?

Thomas did not sleep well last night, so I didn't either. I wonder if he's coming down with something....

Oh well, need to go get some coffee and toothpicks to prop my eyelids open....

EVERYONE SLEPT REALLY WELL IN OUR HOUSE LAST NIGHT BUT I WAS DRAGGING ALL DAY. IT WAS MY LONG DAY AT WORK AND I DON'T THINK I EVER WOKE UP. I EVEN DRANK AN ENERGY DRINK ON MY WAY HOME THINKING IT WOULD HELP BUT NO I AM STILL TIRED.

So, for everyone cruising KK2, will you be requesting early or late dining??? Gotta figure out the table count :lmao: :rotfl2:

We will definitely be booking late this time. This was our first time doing early seating and I hated it. I missed every sunset, didn't really enjoy eating a big meal THEN sitting in the WDT for an hour to watch the show and I feel like we were always in a rush to get to dinner by 5:45. :scared:

So, who's with us on the late rotation???

Yup, if we do go, this will be a RELAXING vacation especially since I will be running after a 3 year old by then :lmao:

Why are you yelling at us???? :rolleyes1 :goodvibes

Mike spent part of today cleaning up after our hurricane (Addison)

I watched her yesterday morning until 10 AM & then Mike took over.

Here's a few pics of her getting into everything.

Whoops. I was posting on ebay and I do all my post in caps for that. I never switch over until I was done. Otherwise ebay would be part caps and part lower case and it would be the same here. Sorry. I would never yell at any of you.

If we get to go we will be doing late rotation. We lucked out this year and got the APL rotation.

I am off to bed. I just read an email fro the ex that really just baffeled me and I have no brain power to figure it out so I am going to go sleep on it and try to figure it out this weekend with Scott.

I really trully give up. We will not be doing a KK2 with all of you. It looks like if Kelsey and her mom get their way Kelsey will be going back to her which means we will be paying child support again which means we will be living in a cardboard box eating roman. Oh well. Life is just grand.

Good night all.

I don't think I posted this, but we received our postcard from Hell last Wednesday. Was surprised it got here so fast.

Steve,
When will the xmas decorations be completed? We may make a trip to your neck of the woods to see them, going around neighborhoods and looking at all the decorations has become a tradition in our house.

Christmas Tree Lane runs from Dec 1st thru Dec 25th. Opening night, they have the street closed to thru traffic and it is all pedestrian. (Except for a horse drawn carriage or two.) It is the best night of the month to go. Laura and I always host a party that night and you are offically invited to stop by for Hot apple cider and treats. If you are interested PM me and I'll give you directions and the address.

So for this KK2, are we all just looking at the date and no one cares too much where we're going? Or are there some that want a specific itinerary?

We'll be on the ship regardless of where it is going that week. I would like it to be a Double Dip (which it should be if they are doing them that year) or an Eastern (love the islands and extra day at sea on that route).

Even if it is another Western, we'll manage to suffer through somehow. :rotfl:

If no double-dip, then I'd hope for the Eastern. The only think I don't like about that last week is that we will be disembarking on Oct 31st and I was hoping to go to the MK for MNSSHP on that day but it will be CROWDED for Halloween. So that means that I will need to make other plans!

IF we get to go I don't care what itinerary it is. Double dip would be great though, is that one still 2 sea days?

The second day at CC takes the place of Key West.

I was bummed about missing the sunsets as well. I'll have to think about the early vs late though. I wasn't always hungry for that 5:30 meal. I'm just afraid of being famished for that late meal!

Steve,
We spent Halloween night at MK in 2005 for MNSSHP and it wasn't as crowded as people said it would be. Yes, the rides were a little busier than the week prior's MNSSHP but it was manageable.

As for late seating, what we did was have something to eat every night at Pluto's/Goofy's Galley/room service around 5pm which helped us get through till 8:30 for supper. If you go to bed early then you might have a full tummy but we never went to bed until at least midnight and it worked great for us! :thumbsup2

I have uploaded some photos of KKers from our trip.

A couple of my faves...

Yeah, glad all that attention didn't go to Kira's head :lmao:

Great pictures Cass. Thanks for sharing those. :woohoo:

It's funny, but Zachary tolerated the Clubs, but only when we needed him to go there--Exotic Rasul :rolleyes1 , KK Wine tasting, and Palo Brunch. We were paged all three times, but luckily we were finished each time so it didn't bother us at all. We did take him to Goofy's pajama party and I stayed with him when Peter Pan was there before the Pirate Party. I think he would have loved it if I had stayed there the whole time with him!!

Teddy loved the Lab, but was mad that so many of his age group's activities weren't really in the lab, but other locations. He didn't like that so much. He loved having the Quest just down the hall from our stateroom.

My kids LOVED the shows--Zachary brought home confetti and streamers every night to "decorate" our room. We were lucky--we always had awesome seats--usually very close to Jonathon. We seemed to run in the same circles as him. Did anyone else?

That's what I was hoping for as well. But my kids didn't really warm up to the Kid's clubs until the last few days of the cruise. Next time they'll be experienced and older so maybe I'll get that family/couples vacation that I'm hoping for.

I think we really lucked out - to be honest, I was hoping he's like the club but wasn't expecting it. We showed him the planning DVD and I think he got it in his head that it would be a lot of fun so was expecting to want to be there.

I think next time, I might plan our days a bit differently. I think Thomas only went into the Mickey pool 3 times, which wasn't a lot. I think for our next cruise, I'm going to pick a port day to stay on the ship and do some more pool time. I think I'm also going to use the clubs later in the evening (we were still taking him out between 9:30-10:30) so we can meet up with everyone in Rockin D!

For us, there are advantages to each possible itinerary, so I think we'll just go with the Oct. 24th date for now!

Eastern - totally new for us, and some really nice beaches. It would be fun. Plus, one extra sea day.

Double Dip - Self-explanatory.

Western - We'd probably stay on the ship for Key West Day and Cozumel day (I went to Diamonds Intl in Cozumel so Pete probably won't let me off the ship there again:)) so we'd have some port days to enjoy the boat.

As for early or late dining, I'm torn. Thomas would be with us, but he only ate with us 3 nights (and 1 was almost by force). But, if he didn't like the clubs as much this time around, second seating would be more difficult. I might have to think about that one more.

Thanks for sharing all of the pictures Cass. It is so neat to see pictures that everyone else takes.
