October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 9

We may change our minds later on but I really don't wanna spend $3-4K on a cruise we've done twice before to places we don't like. Also, it would mean that we would miss Kira's first time trick or treating.

Sorry to hear that Cass. I'd offer to pay for your cruise, but all we can afford is the smoothies. :rotfl2:
(I heard somewhere the smoothies were on us.);)

Regarding trick or treat... I'm sure all of us KKers wouldn't mind holding up in our staterooms with candy while Kira goes door to door. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Haha, that's a wonderful thought, and I am sure you guys will end up organizing a trick or treat thing on your cruise but Kira wouldn't be with us. She won't be 3 yet, or potty trained (highly unlikely anyway) and therefore cannot enjoy the Mickey Pool or the kids clubs! And I am sure by then she will need more room to roam than what they offer in Flounders.

I hate that it's a crappy old Eastern cus I really was hoping to cruise again with you guys.

However, if we come into a surplus of cash, then we will be there :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

Is it natural for someone my age to keep dreaming about Disney Cruises?

I hope so...I'm older than you and I do the same thing.

Went to switch my ressies over and looks like DCL already switched them over to AAA. We specifially told them NOT to do that while we were rebooking. I even spoke to a manager and she couldn't/wouldn't help.

We have to wait for our TA to come in and rebook for us now. Now I believe that we also missed out on the AAA obc because the special doesn't come out until January and they already had the ressie since October.

Not a good day for us. We also had a small electrical fire in the house this morning. It was my desktop computer. Something shorted out in the monitor and smoke was pouring out of the back of it. Fire department came (all 6 engines, a paramedic, two captains) but it wasn't too serious. The back of the monitor is melted and will be laying in the snowbank by the end of the day.

Good thing Kristin smelled it before she left for work. Fire chief said it would have been a full fire if we would have gone to work and left it as was. We have all the windows open and I'm freezing my bum off.

Good thing I'm so angry at the booking agent on DCL that the heat in my head is counteracting with the cold house. Thermostat reads 58 right now!!

Happy to hear you guys are all right. OMG, If you guys would have left... poor Cabo. :sad2:

I'll ask the lottery gods to pray upon you. :goodvibes :rotfl2:

Oh my Nancy, that's terrible! I'm so glad that it didn't catch the rest of your home on fire though.
Guess you'll be asking Santa for a new computer:santa:

Hi Rose - are you KK2'ing? - did you book it? - we're all on the new thread already!

We didn't rebook, but you never know!

Bob is still really looking forward to an Alaskan cruise.

But even if we don't join you, I'll follow you guys along on the KK2 thread to keep in touch and have a virtual vacation with you!

Oh come on Rose, you know you want to join us. Tell Bob how much fun he'll have with us. Plus it is an Eastern - new islands (and much prettier ones at that). Also, an extra sea day to enjoy the boat. After being on the Western for the second time this year, I'm glad this is an Eastern. Not sure if I'll do another Western (flat boring islands). Maybe if it was a Double Dip.

If you don't join us, stop by and say "hi" every once and a while.

I agree Jeff... I didn't care for the western either. I actually prefer the eastern over western.

Thanks for checking in to those cabins. I'm going to have Mike to call TA tomorrow after I research a little more. He'll be home to do it. I'd like to try to get deck 5. We'll see.

Robin,

Not sure if Nancy is still following along today, but send her a PM. Her daughter had a sideways cabin on the 10/20/07 cruise. I think there are pictures out on the Castaway Club website. If not there, check the wdwinfo cruiseline site (the parent to the DIS boards) for a picture.

I believe the bed is situated like the Cat 10's and above (i.e. head or feet to the front/back instead of the sides) and the room is set a little different. Not sure if Nancy has any pics, but I'm sure if she does, she wouldn't mind posting her or on the KK2 thread. ;)

Hope you can join us on the "party" deck.

Rose & Robin! Thanks for the concern, but we are all just fine. It wasn't anything too serious, but it could have been if we would've left the house.

Someone up there loves us and was watching out for us.:cloud9:

Hey I see a familiar ornament in front;)

You know...... I still don't have one! It took me so long to make them right up until days before the trip that I said I'd do mine when I came back and I've
just been so lazy since we've returned.

Help me Carrie! I need all your energy and motivation!

Carrie to the rescue. I will send you some energy with this message Wish I could help more.

Merry Christmas from Texas!!!:santa:

UGh I can't find my tree ornaments for my large tree. They are somewhere in the abyss we call a garage. Found the disney ones though so the small tree is getting decorated.

Thanks!

It only cost about $3 to make, so why not ... Everyone at work wants one now.

You made that? I am not crafty at all, but that would be a good thing for you to do and say since it cost $3 to make charge them $5 and make a $2 profit on it. That was you can save for another cruise.

We booked our 2008 holiday yesterday - we're off to Greece again - one of the quiet resorts on one of the islands. Been before to the neighbouring resort and liked it so its within our budget and falls into Neils holiday allowance so I booked it.:cool1: Something to look forward to and a goal to lose weight for - (not that the cruise goal worked in October:rolleyes: )
.
We have a PE teacher that is from Greece, let's just say I likey the greek boys.;)

Very natural, I think it is unatural if you don't

So sorry that you had a crummy day. So glad that everyone is ok though.

I thought about giving a few for gifts, but would have to give them now. I made it so I can change the bow on it to fit the holiday. Now I need to get different holiday ribbons!

Karen:thumbsup2 WOW!
How do you do all of that?

Its a lot of work - usually takes me over a week but Neil helped me this year. I still havent finished yet - I still have Ellis's tree (only 4ft) to decorate and other bits and pieces. Why dont you put on some fun music and do the tree together. It might help you get in the christmas mood:goodvibes - I always have my christmas cd blasting out as I get my trees sorted (but then again - I'm really sad!:lmao: )

We'd love to join ou but 2009 is just a bit to far to plan. Too much might happen before hand - jobs, etc. I won't say any more.

Anyway....we'll see.

Oh Heather - just book it! :yay: - you can always cancel if you change your mind.

We didn't rebook, but you never know!

Woo Hoo!:woohoo: :woohoo: - more KK2'ers:yay:

Robin - we had 5139 last time - it was great - right near the back of the boat so no traffic running past your door and hardly any rooms on deck 5 either:thumbsup2
