I think most people are looking at a possible double dip in October 2009, if the dates work out right (it will be the last full week of the month which is usually the double dip week).

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Hope you're extended trip was fun, Karen.

Great thanks Heather - just fighting the jet lag now

Here is a picture of a pirate on our Grand Cayman excursion that Karen and Suz were drowling over. Karen kept saying, "me likey pirates".

IMG_0210.jpg

Oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - I still likey pirates:love:

Thanks for posting this pic!!!!!! I was talking about this exact photo at work today. Suz showed it to me on the pirate boat. Me likey pirates too.

We all likey pirates:lmao:

Anyone want to hear my Wal-mart gripe?

If not, don't read this ;)

I finally got all my pics developed.

Sunday - burned CD's (all 3 of them) and took to Walmart. Their machine wouldn't read them. Gave up and went home without pics. Later realized the CD's didn't burn - :sad2:

Monday - took SD cards to Walmart. Spent 1/2 hour downloading images with Thomas tugging at my coat. Their 1 hour photo was going to take 3-4 hours because a couple of other people had brought in 400-500 picture orders also. Left without pics. :(

Tueday - during lunch break, went to pick up photos. I had 2 orders, one with 504 pics, the other with 166 pics. They could not find the order with 166 pics. They told me since they'd had so many big orders the day before the computer may have erased the images. Had to download the photos AGAIN....left with pics only up to Pirate night. :sad2:

Wednesday - Went during lunch AGAIN to pick up my photos. They had the pics ready. Got back to work to find my pics PLUS someone else's pics in my packet. WHAT!?!?!?! Had to count to make sure all my pics were there... then called Walmart to let them know they'd given me about 50 of someone esle's photos. They told me to throw them away.

Next time, I'll use the grocery store I've been using....it's worth the extra 1 cent per print!

cinnamike is going to attempt to get caught up.
thought i was about done with laundry but no, we forgot about the garment bag we had pushed off to the side. i dont care. ive got reading to do.:lmao:

Mike and Robin,
Got home to a clean house, and a kid who said that he had a horrible week because we weren't home to talk too. Now whether or not he just said that to make us feel good, I don't know, but we missed him too.

good for you!! he must be a good kid EH?
and by the way... thanks again for the shirt!!

He looks better in the picture with Karen and Ellis. I don't want to post that here without her consent though.

I think they are back tomorrow morning.

WELCOME HOME KAREN!!!!!

Post away Jeff - I have no secrets:goodvibes

Hello to my fellow KKers!

It was so wonderful to meet all of you! Like Robin said, we've been chatting together for so long, it's hard not to keep it going!

We had a great time. The first few days before the cruise were sooooo hot, we couldn't believe it was late October. Felt more like late July!

Our suite was gorgeous! The pictures haven't been downloaded yet, but I'll try to post them sometime. Our concierge hosts were just terrific, unbelievable how many goodies were sent to our cabin. There's no possible way we could have ever eaten all the food we got, even with 6 of us in the cabin! I never posted here before that we were going to be in the Walt suite, as I never wanted to seem snobby or anything. We got the call in August asking if we wanted to upgrade from the cat 2 to the cat 1. Who would say no to that? The upgrade from 3 to 2 was four times more expensive than the upgrade from the 2 to the 1. Amazing!

We stayed at the Poly for 1 night after the cruise. We were in Epcot all day on Saturday. It rained, but at least the sun was hidden. I really didn't want another hot day in the parks. We tried Tutto Italia that evening. While the service was good, the food was disappointing. For those prices, we were expecting something much more impressive. Sigh, I miss the fettucine at Alfredos.

We got home on Sunday evening, and ordered pizza as we had nothing in the fridge! Monday was doctor visit day for John and Katie. Both were pretty miserable the end of the trip with colds. Actually, turns out Katie has an ear infection, and John has a sinus infection. Glad we took Monday off!

Well, I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I was supposed to be in bed an hour ago, but told DH I was just popping by here for a quick visit. I guess his "quick visit...not very likely" quote is holding true!

I do hope we can all keep in touch!

Tina

Hi Tina

I dont think I took a photo of you know who with your teddy:confused3 - I think I got distracted at the ewine thingy - if you have one would you email it to me if I pm you my email address?

Good Morning everybody ,

We just wanted to say we really enjoyed meeting everybody on the cruise , everybody we chatted to were really friendly . as first time cruises we were very unsure about this kind of holiday but we are hooked!!! and we have re-booked to go again in 2009 on the double dip ,

i hope you all had a safe trip home .

sean , cath , olivia.:grouphug:

Double dip Oct 09:yay: - us too!

It's so funny...it seemed like all our days were filled, but there were so many things we didn't get to do onboard.

So, before my memory fades, here's my to do list for the next cruise:

Palo (brunch or dinner)
Various locales on Beat Street (we didn't do many night-life activities)
I never got a strawberry smoothie or Konked Kooler (although I have the recipe - thanks DIStaggers!)

Stay aboard during a port day (if doing Western) and hog the hot tub at Quiet Cove!

Anyone else?

Neil and I were just talking about the things we didnt get to do - Oh well....:rolleyes1 - just have to go back again then:cool1:

Off to eat my curry now...I have caught up on the pages - I'll download my photos to the pc tomorrow and then onto photobucket. - That will take til December :rolleyes1

Look out for a special trippie coming soon from you know who;)

Well the plan is for DH and I to get down enough not only to be healthier but to be able to parasail at CC. I heard from some really great people we met on the cruise that it was awesome.:thumbsup2

no words to describe how great the parasailing was. well worth the wait.
a special thanks to our good luck charm kira.(isnt she a cutie?)

theres been a lot of talk about an alaskan cruise. robins dying to do that but cinnamike no likey the cold. maybe ill go if im allowed to bring a little cinnamon with me to keep me warm.

Jen,

Yes, teachers' convention in WI is the last Thur and Fri of October. WEAC has the dates on their website I think for the next 2 or 3 (maybe even 4) years.

When I spoke to Chris on Friday, he said that there was a lot less kids on the Magic this week.

Same direction, different ports.

We'd not go to:

Key West
Grand Cayman

We would pick up:

Costa Maya, Mexico
An Additional Day at Castaway Cay

Yes, Rick and I thought this was interesting.

Suz was able to get Jack Sparrow on CC by himself.

I thought he was the most unconvincing Jack I've seen so far, so didn't bother.

we tend to not look that far ahead and just live for the moment. we know i have another valve surgery in the future and thats kind of the reason we didnt rebook. we probably should have but we are looking at a few wdw trips in the next few years and its easier to be more flexible on cancelling those trips last minute if we have to.
but if everyone is planning a kk2 you can count us in. we had a great time meeting everyone.:thumbsup2

We're with you zipper guy!:thumbsup2

Anyone catch this on the DCL site? Is anyone watching this storm?

Tropical Weather Update
As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2007:

Guests sailing November 1st who have questions regarding their voyage and the effects of Tropical Storm Noel should be aware that the safety of our guests and crew is always our first priority at Disney Cruise Line® and we continually monitor a storm's progress through the National Weather Service.

Based upon the current projections of the storm's path, we do not anticipate a need to alter our departure from Port Canaveral, FL.

Should weather conditions change, our Captain can alter the ship's course or itinerary for the safety and well being of our guests.

If we were sailing this week, I don't think we'd get to CC. From what I've seen the storm should pass over CC on Thursday. That means they will have to evacuate the CM's by Wednesday and they probably won't go back until sometime Fri or Sat. Not to mention what damage may occur.

Wonder where the Wonder will end up going on Thursday (or right now for that matter). Don't think the 3 night this Thursday will be going to Nassau or CC. My guess would be Key West and a day at sea - bummer.

Wonder how Chris and Hazel are getting on..they were hoping for better weather.

Paige,

We may see you in 2011. The first new ship is coming out that year and we've talked about cruising in June some year.

Maybe KK3? :confused3 :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

We hope to do 2012 - it will be our 25th anniversary.

 - thanks tablemate:lmao:

Hi everyone - just catching up on what I've missed - only a few hundred pages to go:rolleyes1 - be back later:goodvibes

You're back: Hooray

It's so funny...it seemed like all our days were filled, but there were so many things we didn't get to do onboard.
I never got a strawberry smoothie or Konked Kooler (although I have the recipe - thanks DIStaggers!)

Tried both of these and they we're lovely.

It was! Thanks!

Steve - any update on your halloween decs?

Has anyone done a 3 or 4 day? Are they long enough? I didn't want to get off the ship after 7 days!

Sigh...until the 2009 itineraries come out, I guess I'll have to go back to planning my vacation for next year. My (now) second favorite vacation spot - Door County WI!

Jen - we've done 4 nights and definately not enough.

Hi Scott .

Good stuff this english ale eh??

tetley is good as long as its tetley smooth ,

it was a pleasure to meet you as well mate .

Sean - went all that and we didn't meet up. Glad you had a good time though!

and by the way. a lot of people owe me an apology. every one has accused cinnamike of knowing something about the mysterious big red, but i can tell you now that robin has a picture of her. ill try to get her to post it tonite.
(if she can find it in the 800 pictures she took)

Here is a picture of a pirate on our Grand Cayman excursion that Karen and Suz were drowling over. Karen kept saying, "me likey pirates".
