I'm off to get some groceries...

There's not a darn thing to eat in this house.

I'll catch up with everyone probably tomorrow. I have a feeling I'll be going to bed early.

Just to catch you up...

I came home without Mike. :thumbsup2 (:rotfl2:)

It seems as we disembarked a "Red Haired Girl" with unbelievable "personality" caught Mike's eye. I haven't seen him since. :confused3

;)

Yeah, I didn't get that either. If three neighbors were passing the keys around why didn't anyone feed her?

That's my biggest fear...(that someone will forget about my dog)

so I always put her in a kennel.

Carrie & Scott... Hope things get better for you. :sad1:

Later everyone & Welcome home.

Anyone get on their scale:eek:

I knew I shouldn't have done that:headache:
Knew those clothes were tighter. 3 and 1/2 pounds more:sad2:

I'll have to find some fat pants to wear to work tomorrow!:guilty:

Anyone else still feel the ship moving?

I did a bit yesterday, but today, since this morning it is non stop!
Help, my house is riding the waves:eek:

I remember this from last cruise, I think it lasted for a few days before I got my land legs back

We must have gotten our land legs back quick, no riding the waves here:sad1:

How about some mini reviews:

Negatives:really disappointed with the food in the dining rooms and room service, could not manage getting acclamated to the time change so we got up late 3/4 of the cruise, getting sick on the last couple of days, missed the first 2 nights shows, cat 11 was small (expected) and didn't have enough storage for the 3 of us (somewhat expected),the weather in Coz (ugh)and the heat in KW and GC, didn't get to spend more time with the KK group.

Positives: had a great server team and table mates, DD finally braved the kids clubs the last few days of the cruise and loved it, loved the extra time on the ship (had only done the Wonder), when it started raining at CC and DH and I just stayed in the water, loved the rocking and rolling of the ship when it left Coz, discovered Cove Cafe (yum), tried a Konk Kooler (not bad,DH didn't like it though), Bahama Mamas!, meeting all of you that first day.

The positives certainly canceled out the negatives, and it was a Magical vacation.

We learned that unless there will be an actual shuttle launch we will stay at the Hyatt, after a long flight it was looking very good. Avis was very good, will use again. Hoping to do the Eastern next, of course that is after next years cruise throught the Panama Canal, may book another while on board and wait for the new ships come out when DD graduates (2011)

Mike and Robin,
Got home to a clean house, and a kid who said that he had a horrible week because we weren't home to talk too. Now whether or not he just said that to make us feel good, I don't know, but we missed him too.

Even the cat (Yoda) that never cuddles with me came up and licked my face last night. When Sean picked him up and told him I didn't feel good, he layed down and layed his head on my feet and just purred away.

Welcome home everyone!!!!

I didn't post much on this thread, but I wanted to say that we had an excellent time on this cruise. I met some other DISers, and that was a real treat :goodvibes (forgive me for not remembering your exact screennames  )

I think I met another DISer unknowingly, so let me describe when, and if I did, you can let me know. It was on Thursday, and I was very seasick:guilty: We were waiting in line FOREVER at Shutters, because someone was taking forever (very needy) and there were 3 employees helping her. I mentioned how they should have an "express line" for people getting pictures only, and already have a package purchased. I'm thinking this is a DISer, because I think I saw them walking into a stateroom that had DISer magnets on the door. If you are here, I wish I would have known you were a DISer, because I would have introduced myself. But I wouldn't have talked long, because I was very very seasick - I only ate crackers and gingerale for dinner that night:guilty:

I hope you all made it home safe and sound, and I hope you all had a magical time!!!

 I do believe that was me! :)

I'm sorry you were feeling so sick! It really was pretty bad out there at times.

We're at French Quarter right now but I'll get some of those pictures up when we get home! :) Jeff I really got some great ones of you guys at the Stingray encounter!!! We had a blast on the cruise, maybe we'll see some of you on our next one!

Carrie & Scott,

I am so sorry about your poor doggy  I hope your pooch gets better and is ok after all that!

We had our dog walker stay at our house and watch our two pups. She was great! Even though they had a few bad doggie moments, they were very well taken care of and were happy to see us! She did such a great job and I am so thankful she did this for us!

Robin, hope you find your crocs!! I lost my fave Disney watch at the Country Inn. I had hoped it fell into my suitcase but I still haven't found it :sad2:

Rose, I still feel like I am on the ship! Last time I felt like this for weeks! It's rather annoying after awhile. I think Kira still has her sea legs too as she is losing her balance a lot. Rob said he only felt it yesterday but not today.
Hope Bob is ok! Did he feel better soon afterwards or did it last all day?

Hi everyone:

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. It was great fun meeting many of you on the cruise. We had the 8:30 dinner each night so by the time we finished and got the kids down it was after 11: and then we were just ready for bed ourselves so we never made it to the clubs to hang out with everyone :(.

The boys all had a great time, but today was schoolwork all day! They are just about caught up.

BTW Tropical Storn Noel just appeared as we left the area. Perfect timing!

Mike

Carrie & Scott,

Hi Cass!
Glad Rob's not feeling it, neither is Bob. Sean and I are still rocking.
I think it lasted about a week for me last time.

Yeah, Bob's ok, we got him and I some motion sickness tablets when we got off the parasailing and then got a bit of fruit to eat and drank some sprite (for lack of ginger ale) to help combat our sickness.
Mine wasn't so bad, just for one second when I turned around while up in the air and taking photos... I felt that UHOH, shouldn't have done that....
But poor Bob:sad2: He NEVER EVER gets motion sick!
But it was over about an hour later.

Hey Cass! Great to see you Rob and Kira in the Remember the Magic show!
Spectacular!
Did you guys know they were going to do that?
Did you get to see it?

I am glad to hear your sea sickness didn't last long!!!

Yes, we knew we were going to be in it. Although it was only for a second or two I am surprised anyone even recognized us :lmao: We told Mike & Robin during dinner that we would be in the show and they videotaped it :woohoo:

We weren't going to see it and hadn't booked Flounders for Kira that night but after learning we might be in the show, we were able to fit her in for a couple of hours to go see the show. I'm glad I saw the show, Rich Purpura was great!!! :thumbsup2

Hi guys. We are home and unpacking. YUCK!!! We did laundry last night at Pop Century when we could use all the washers then dryers at once and it only took a little over an hour.
We were soooooo happy to see Harrison. He loved seeing his Daddy!!!!!!! He cried when my dad left.:sad1:

We had a great time with all of you. I have several pictures of different Dis families that I will put in photobucket this week for you all to see.
We are rebooked and ready for KK2!!!!!!

We got to see Cheryl and fam in Downtown Disney yesterday and that was a nice surprise. Julia loves Rachel.

We made lifelong friends and can't wait to see the KKer's again.

Thanks for making our vacation even more magical!!!!!

I now need to go through my luggage.

I noticed when we got on the ship my "crocs" were not in any of my bags.

(at least I couldn't find them.) I'm hoping I Just overlooked them, because they aren't here at home either. :confused3

I'll find out when I get everything unpacked. :scared:

It's so strange... this has been a part of our lives for over a year. I hope we can keep this going for a while.

Looking forward to posting pics in the coming days. :thumbsup2

Robin (It's all over now..I guess I'm no longer Tart Girl) :sad1:

You can still be Tart Girl if you want to :)

I also hope we can keep this going - y'all are so much fun to chat with!

Anyone else still feel the ship moving?

Pete and I both "felt" the ship moving a bit today...hard to get those land legs back.

We went to visit Pete's parents today (they had been cat-sitting for us) and it sounds like they might be thinking of going with us the next time!

We rebooked for 2008, but we're pretty sure we're going to change it. Who else?

We didn't rebook. Spent lots of money for awhile and Bob is trying to buy a house.

I'm sure we'll sail again another time though, he really loved it!

But he said next time we'll spend more time relaxing, skip some of the ports....like Key West and just stay on and lounge around.

Even though we're not rebooking, I'll still check up on those of you who are and read your threads from time to time.

Carrie, I have to ask.......You had 3 neighbors watching your dog and no one fed her? Did I understand correctly that they were the ones that also left your door open?

Sorry y'all had to go through this. It makes me thankful for my friends who took care of our dog and retrieved my mail.

We are not exactly sure what happened. We left Craig (a single guy who just recently got a girlfriend) in charge of the dog. He has dog sat for us before a few times. He is great with her and has two dogs of his own and can really man handle our big dog.

We had another neighbor Andrea checking our mail and keeping it at her house until we got home.

The Friday before we got on the ship at 12:30 pm Florida time Andrea called Scotts cell phone. (I left mine home). She explain that from what she could tell the dog had been out side since 5:00 am that morning and she had been barking the whole time. She is not an outside dog and will bark if left outside, plus the sprinklers were coming on three times a day. We were asleep when she called. By the time we woke up and called her back she said that she went over and went through our back door. It is a sliding door that does not lock very well so we left it unlocked. She let the dog in her kennel but by that time she was covered with top soil from us reseeding and she ate our screen door. We gave her Craigs phone number and Scotts dads and said to contact Craig find out what he was going to do, because he told us that he was going to take her and his dogs to his girlfriends for the week. Then we told her if there was a problem to call Scotts dad. That was the end of it as we knew.

Spoke with Andrea last night and found out that Sat and Sun her kids were really sick and she has an illness of her own and her husband just had surgery so she told a neighbor 2 down from us to check on her, since that neighbor was the one who reported us to animal control. On Monday Andrea went over at night and found our back door wide open. She is not sure who left it like that or for how long. Andrea continued to go over at night just to make sure the dog was still alive and ok. She never gave her more food because the dog never ate what was in her bowl from Thursday when we left. On Tuesday we had our house treated for termites and Craig was supposed to have the dog gone because they would be drilling. Well Craig never showed up. The dog was left in her kennel in the house the whole time. The termite guys somehow got in our house but Andrea did not let them in and Craig was the only person with the key. So we are not sure how they got in. On Thursday afternoon Andreas husband came home to find our front door wide open. He went through the house to make sure that we were not robed. No one knows who left that open. On Thursday night Craig went to another set of neighbors, Nona, Sara and Mathew and told them that he had to leave town to go to Tucson for an emergency (we still have not figure that out because he knows no one in Tucson as far as we know). He have our keys to them and Sara and Mathew came over ever few hours to let her out side. They are not really strong enough to handle her and Craig did not tell them to only let her out front due to the over seeding we did, so she brought in al the mud and top soil all over the living room floor. Her Kennel was in the computer room. Come Friday the dog got very sick. Sara was spot treating our carpet all the way around the kennel. Andrea came over and gave the dog some meds. (we are not sure what she gave her at this point). So last night the dog had an accident in the house and it was primarily blood. So now we are watching that to see what it going on.

The whole thing is a big mess. So yes we actually had 4 different houses taking care of her but no one every gave her new food. She is eating as we speak but she will need to eat for a long time to gain back the weight she lost. She has an appointment tomorrow to go get groomed.

I've loved all your dis tags!

That was so much fun!

I can't wait to go through them again. We looked at everything in such a hurry to go and tag someone else's room and rush off to dinner or an excursion or something.....
so now that I'm home I'm going through everything.

Bob took all the bags home with him, so I can't look now, but he said that he pulled out all the CD's people made and listened to the music while unpacking.
He loved that!

Thanks everyone:grouphug:

Yeah, I didn't get that either. If three neighbors were passing the keys around why didn't anyone feed her?

Because I think they were all more worried about reporting us for animal abuse. I had 20 voice mails on my phone when we got home. 1 was not a complaint about our dog. 7 were from the neighbor 2 doors down that ended up taking care of her for 2 days. I had phone calls from people in the community that I don't even know who they are or how they got my phone number. Sounds real great that I just changed my cell phone message to my business message before I left and all these people are calling me complaining about my dog. I am sure they got my number from the one 2 doors down because she is the neighborhood realtor and gossips alot.
