we will have our bracelets on but no tshirts - kids are going to look nice for the pictures as well they will probably wear their boarding clothes to dinner - I am really not into changing a million times a day.

what time are you aiming to leave JAX?

I would like to leave at 5am...just because I will be so excited... but truthfully, we will leave probably at 8 am and I am sure we will have to stop at McD's or something for breakfast about an hour into it. I should go and mapquest it.

I just might have to tag you twice because I think I made 20 bags. Maybe i didn't but I think I did...

Sounds fair to me Susan. :lmao:

I'm off to bed. I'm really whipped.

Gonna try to stay up to see The Bachelor.

Nite all.

Good night Robin. I'm watching the Bachelor too.:goodvibes

I would have loved to have been one of the very first to board but i am not going to kill anyone to get that type of number or place in line. I just want to board when they first start boarding. Last cruise we thought they didn't start boarding until 130 or so... so that is when we tried to get there. I think we boarded like at 2 or so.

We were the first cruise after Dry Dock in 05 and got on the ship around 1:00.

Per Mapquest....

Total Est. Time: 2 hours, 32 minutes Total Est. Distance: 163.61 miles

Maybe I can get them up and out by 730 instead and by the time we do breakfast on the road we will be there by 1030. Hmm...

It is really weird but I think I am more excited than the kids.

We were the first cruise after Dry Dock in 05 and got on the ship around 1:00.

We were the 1st cruise on the Wonder in 04 after dry dock. It was weird because some things were not finished and the pipes still had the brown water flowing out of them for a few minutes after you turned them on.

Us too. The exercise room was closed all week (pity:goodvibes ) and some other things weren't available either. Since it was our first cruise we didn't really miss anything because we didn't know.

I think I'm done tonight too kids. I got a scratchy throat tonight but I'm hoping it's only allergies. But, then again, if I'm going to get sick, I would rather have it now and not in a week or so.

I might be joining Karen in Sick Bay tomorrow.

Night all...

I really need to hit the dis tag prezzies hard this week.

How's the hair coming Cass? I cut mine myself last night because I don't trust anyone else. That way, I can only get mad at myself. :rotfl2:

I have an appoitment on Wednesday evening to get my hair cut so if I am on here at 8pm Wednesday bawling my eyes out, you'll know why!

Hi Steve!

Kind of a funny little story about the check in at the Hyatt. I met up with another family of DISers and we had the same idea about getting first to the check in table. Another cruiser showed up from a different hotel and was all loud about where to line up. He was a seasoned cruiser and knew it all. He was first in line at this one table and told everyone who came in to line up behind him.

We were standing next to another empty table. Here comes the DCL reps and walked right over to the table we were standing at!! Guess who was first in line and guess who at the end of it??:lmao:

That was a great story :thumbsup2 I would have loved to have seen his face Nancy :rotfl2: We are still waiting on the "bus picture" :rolleyes1

I can see it now... We run in to a diser and they shove us aside so they can get a boarding pass before us. :rotfl2:

"HMMMMM... sound familiar Cass & Rob?" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey, I said that I wouldn't knock you down to get an upgrade but I never said anything about boarding passes :rolleyes1

I want to be there early but I don't want to wait around with a baby either if they are late opening the gates. I think the plan right now is to have Rob and his Dad drop us and the kids off at the terminal at 10 AM and then return the two rental vans to Budget afterwards. That way we will have the car seat still for Kira and not worry about the shuttle with the kids.

I can check the guys in while they drop off vehicles and then they can just go drop off their passports at the desk :thumbsup2

Then again, I probably won't sleep the night before so I will drag everyone to the terminal at 5 AM, watch the ship come in and be first (or second to Nancy :rolleyes1 ) in line to get into the terminal gate :lmao:

Hey Nancy! thanks for the tip. I'll try not to be a know-it-all! :lmao:

I am really glad you all said something about lining up. Renee and I were under the impression that we had a reservation for a specific DCL shuttle. But if I understand you, we have to sign up in the AM. Is that right?
We want to get there soonest so I guess I will be there with Steve at 7:30.

Let me know if I misunderstood something. The DCL rep told us to meet the rep in the lobby around 9:45A. This was a couple of weeks ago when we switched arrival days from Day of to day before.

Thanks for the tip off.

Regards-

I am under the impression from all that I have read that there are two busses that leave from MCO for the port. The earlier one being at 0930. Everyone that I have heard from makes it sound like a first come, first served deal. So I'm comin' first! If I learn any different(like assigned busses) I'll let everyone know.

I think I'm done tonight too kids. I got a scratchy throat tonight but I'm hoping it's only allergies. But, then again, if I'm going to get sick, I would rather have it now and not in a week or so.

I do hope you are okay. And no sickness after the 19th for EVERYBODY! I'm hanging up the nursing hat for a week!

Hi Steve It looks like we're the only ones on here late tonight. I have a busy week ahead and not sure how much time I'll get on here but I don't want to fall too far behind so I'll stay up late tonight and just be tired at work tomorrow :rolleyes1

Paige thats frustrating about having to wait longer for the results. It sound's like you have a great doctor for Emily though and she'll do her best to get things figured out :grouphug: Please keep us updated on what they find out with all the tests!

Yep, just got back from the doctor's.....Of course the MRI results were not sent to her yet. But she did inform us that if there were any horrible things (my words, not her's) they would have sent them ASAP. Whatever.

She will call me I think when the results get to her. They were scrambling to try to track them down before I left, but to no avail. We had the MRI done on a different base, at a hospital where they do MRI's. We only have a clinic on our base.

After explaining Emily's history to her, though, she went ahead and referred me to a pediatric neurologist. So I will call Wednesday(I have to wait 48 hrs so the referral is in the system) up at Walter Reed or Bethesda to get her in. Also, when I described Emily's symptoms (which are very mild, but still there), she says there is a chance that this could be hypoglycemia (or did she say Hyperglycemia?)......so our next step with that is to work with the school nurse to get her glucose tested throughout the day....

I am happy with what she told me. She is a very nice doc; it was our 1st time seeing her. I like a doc who is not afraid to order tests and not just dismiss us as raving lunatics (although that is what I am most of the time).
I'm not sure what hypoglycemia is exactly, so I guess I will have some research to do...........

Y'all have a great Monday!!

Hi Cheryl, I'm busy this week too. I working almost every day until my vacation. Having so much time off last week and then the vacation has caught me short and I'm having to pound out the OT to make up for it.

Karen I hope you are feeling better quickly  pixiedust:

I'm feeling sorry for myself today:sick:

Been on the sofa all day wrapped in blankets and eating paracetamol and vitamin c tablets like they're sweeties. I have a stinking cold and I'm constantly freezing. Thank god its now and not next week though. At least it gived me time to get rid of it before we travel.

I have so far eaten 3/4 packet of chocolate digestive biscuits - I cooked a roast dinner but couldnt face it. Chocky bickies for dinner:thumbsup2

It sounds like you'll need the rest and relaxation of the cruise. I'm working some extra days before we leave too and when things get crazy at work I just keep picturingthe Magic and the islands in my head :goodvibes

   to you Robin at least with them finding this out now that gives them time to get things regulated so that you can be feeling good for the cruise!

Are the boards running s......l.......o......w..... for you too.

I tried quoting, spent 20 min. typing and lost it. AAAAWWWWW!

Since it's running so slow. I'll just put all my thoughts in one post.

Regarding how I'm feeling. Very Fatigued, but after a couple of weeks on thyroid meds, I shoud be ready for the cruise. :thumbsup2

I've never had to take meds for anything and have gotten pounded this past week. Too much stress, I think.

Blood pressure, Water pills, thyroid meds. It sucks to get old. :lmao:

Just think... We'll all be stress free in a couple of weeks. :thumbsup2

Carrie-

Another hypoglycemic here. My lowest reading ever was a 38, which I still have on my monitor. I'm not sure how I didn't pass out at that point but I was sick. Were you still coherent in the 20's??? I pretty much can manage mine through diet. Have not had any real problems with it in the last couple of years, thank goodness. During pregnancies it was very difficult to keep in control.

Abby

I used to pass out a lot. I would pass out with anything under 50. I would start shaking at 60. I have not passed out since I had my daughter. I still have down days but it is because I live on cereal when Scott works. I had the grumps like Cass was describing for Rob. The pregnancy is what got mine under control.

Nope not crashing at all. I'll be at the Hyatt in the late afternoon. I had planned to get up early before the family on Saturday to make sure that I hit that first bus to the port. You can join me there. I believe that they start the signups at 0830 and I plan to be hoovering about the area at about 0730 and I'll line up as soon as I see progress!

We, I mean Scott, will hold your spot in line. I am having him get in line at 6:00 while I do my hair. Then I will meet him down there with some breakfast for him.

Evening folks!

Got some more Tag stuff done and I even got my workout done too! :cool1:

This exact time next week I will probably be on these boards and probably all night because I will be too excited to sleep :lmao: ( I love that commercial! )

WHO'S GETTING EXCITED PEOPLE???????????????? :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We are on the 10:A shuttle from DCL. Are you using the DCL shuttle service.
It looks like you all are getting in much later than us. We arrive at 2:30P, but we are coming from VA so it is a short flight.

DW and I went to Cass's World and saw the list of families. Did you all know each other before planning this cruise?

Regards-

How did you find out which shuttle time you have. We have all been told we have to wait in line at the Hyatt to sign up for the shuttle.
