My family will also be traveling Oct 20th. We will be arriving early Oct 19th and we are staying at the MCO Hyatt. There is myself, DH, DS 9, and DD 5. This is our children's first cruise. I can't believe that it is almost here!!

I'm Heather and my DH is Rick. We're all meeting by the Mickey Pool at 3pm if you want to join us.

Looks like the whole ship will be full of DISsers at this rate!

I knew I forgot something in all my planning....

I have not done any research on Grand Cayman or Key West!?!?! The only excursion I have planned is the Pirate encounter, and other than that I have no idea what we'll do in those ports.

What is everyone else doing?

I've been to Cozumel before, so I just plan on shopping a bit and getting back on the boat. DH has said he's not getting off the boat that day at all, and has a massage scheduled

I'm dossed up on paracetamol so I probably wont make much sense today - no change there then

hi guys. cinnamikes on 12 hrs. this week. extra $$$ for strawberry smoothies.
we havnt been on much lately. while we were at cassies fri and sat robins dr
called and wanted to let robin know her bloodwork came back and they wanted her to call. since they usually only call you back if there is a problem i was kind of nervous.
she has been getting dizzy and light headed a lot lately so she went to the dr last week to get checked out before oct.
today she called and they said her thyroid is out of whack and called in a prescription for her to see if they can get it regulated before we go.
(otherwise she may be a little loopy. and shes loopy enough already )

OMG! It's getting so close
I'm so not ready, but am throwing stuff that I need on the cruise
into my spare/computer room.
And everytime I open the door, my ferret Rikki
keeps stealing something and running off with it!
I have a collection of small items for the cruise under my bed now!
At least he's having fun!

- I love it - just leave your suitcases open under the bed and he'll do you packing for you

As if we weren't excited enough about our first cruise... The warm welcome we have received from so many on this board has created a whole new level of anticipation.

Thanks to all who have responded to our postings, we will try to be at the Mickey Pool at 3:00. Can't get DW on the phone to confirm about the wine tasting, hope this evening won't be too late to RSVP, but we had talked about doing a wine tasting or similiar activity while the boys are doing their thing!

More or less sorted. If I can drag myself to the shops I might have a look for a few more clothes, and I still have to pack my creasable clothes, but apart from that I'm ready.

Whta time are you at the airport on the 13th? Is it Manchester? We fly 10.15 Virigin. We'll be stuffing our faces in Garfunkels before that.

My oldest is saving money and keeping room clean in hopes of getting a ferret... I am unsure about them as I heard they smell and we have two dogs and two birds and I don't want anyone hurt...

They have a slight odor. Doesn't bother us, but my boyfriend hates that smell.
Dogs might be ok, but ferrets and bird are a bad thing. Fierce enemies. Ferrets may do anything to get to a bird and kill it. I've read that if you're going to have both to keep the birds in a separate room that the ferrets will not get into.

I'm so sorry I missed the twins birthday


We only ever buy samsonite cases. We've had our first 2 cases since 1993 and they go on lots of planes and are still fine. If anything breaks you just just call them and they send you the part in the post free of charge. We've had handles, wheels, locks etc. They are heavy though which eats into your allowance, but I have bought home all sorts of breakables and never had a single one break

Karen no worry over the kids birthdays,i don't think i ever mentioned the exact date anyways so how were you to know dear?.....some friends went last saturday morning and said the security was dreadful,TWO AND HALF HOURS to get past check in and Passport control...

If we're running short on time and still not through I would just grab a security guard and get him to get me to the front of the queue. I have heard them in the past shouting out for passengers on certain flights to see if they're stuck in passport control or security and they pull them out of the line and send them to the front of the queue.

Mind you, knowing Neil he'll want to allow about 6 hours to do a 1 hour journey "just in case" so we'll probably be there early ourselves.

Look out for a short fat woman nagging a bored looking bloke struggling with cases and a little kid with his eyes glued to a ds screen - thats us

I have heard them in the past shouting out for passengers on certain flights to see if they're stuck in passport control or security and they pull them out of the line and send them to the front of the queue.

Wow and I thought we were the only mad 'just in case' people. Even though we're using twilight check-in, we'll still be at Gatwick by 6.00am to get through security. Last Sept, we were at Heathrow by 5.00am and the desks don't open till 6.00am.

LONG story haviong major hassle with insurance so no time for dissing. We leave next Wed so need to get them sorted before we leave !

Monte carlo was amazing beautiful and very very clean, but VERY expensive ! £15 for 2 cans of coke by our hotel pool !


BRENDA when do you go on holiday I PROMISE to E mail you, within the nex few days, I dont have my plans with me at present! I know I cant do Epcot on the 17th as we are in IOA. What about when we arrive Thu 11th in the evenign at our hotel All stars Movies, we alreay have another meet that night. so I KNOW where we are for that evening !
